[Q] Bricked phone - AT&T HTC One (M8)

So I just got a m8 and unlocked and rooted it. Then I want to add a custom rom., after got a error 7 so I tried another one. So I decide to do stock recovery.
It worked but then it just goes to a red ! point in a triangle. Now it won't boot into fastbootter or recovery.
How can I get back to stock?
Thank you in advance

The red triangle is your stock recovery (when you see the triangle again you hold
power+volume-up and it will bring up your stock recovery options.
Did you create a backup so you can restore it or did you go from the errors to just flashing stock recovery .if you list clearly what exactly you've done we can better serve you

Thats not a "bricked" phone really should read a bit before using or doing anything to your phone. without being s-off your only going to be able to flash a rom thats same build as your using now. Pending on what M8 revision you have euro or att then you can relock bootloader and run ruu to reset everything. Press power button and both volume up and down, phone will reboot,as soon as it turns off, push power and volume down button. That should get you into bootloader.

[Q] Red "Caution" Symbol instead of Recovery

Hey,
I'm trying to flash a ROM on my phone and I'm currently running "Flashback 2.1" or whatever it is. When I try to reboot into recovery using the Volume +, I get a picture of the Eris with a red triangle/exclamation point.
So, my lovely Eris users, does anyone know what this means and how I can fix it, before I call Verizon and demand a new phone?
Thanks!
That is normal behavior for a stock phone - it is the "stock" recovery boot.
When that image is on the screen, press Vol-up+End (once more), and you will see the stock recovery menu.
You said you installed the "FlashBack21" ROM - which returns your phone to stock, including the recovery boot. (As it states in bold red print in that ROM's thread).
What you are seeing is stock behavior.
Time for you to root again - if that's what you are trying to do.

PS: Here's what the different Eris Recovery "splash screens" have looked like over time

I've tried what you said and I can't get it into recovery. I got it once, but I can't seem to get it again... Help?? Please.

Well, I only suggested that so you would see that there is nothing wrong with your phone. The "stock" recovery is of almost no use to you at all - you want a custom recovery (Amon_RA)
You need to re-root your phone, let's say using Jcase's "One Click" app. After doing that there will be a usable recovery available to you, from which you can flash other ROMs. (Again, the "FlashBack21" ROM UNROOTS a phone - returns it to factory software).
Thank you! I apologize for the blond moment I'm not a noob, I swear.

/facepalm
Flashback 2.1 is not a rom, it's a zip that when you flash it, it unroots you and sends you back to stock. Reroot with the one click root apk and flash a rom. You'll be fine.

Bricked Vibrant

I got myself a bricked Vibrant from someone and trying to fix it.
I'm guessing the dude tried to flash captivate stuff on it, because the boot image is AT&T.
Anyway, I was able to odin back to stock 2.1, which seemed to make the power button work again because it would start up and show the AT&T logo but that's it.
Then I tried odin'ing a vibrant bootloader, which got me to replace the AT&T logo with a green andy logo, but same thing, stuck.
So I tried reflashing 2.1 with odin again. Now the boot logo is back to the stock i9000 > Vibrant, but then it stops here. I can't seem to be able to enter the 2e(or 3e?) stock recovery.
Any idea on what else I can try flashing to it?
Update: I tried flashing the froyo bootloader, which did get me to the stock recovery, but again - i can't seem to get this phone past this stage, doesn't boot into the OS.

So what is your desired ROM after flash?
I suggest that you should flash it to LidDroid with Vibrant bootloader. From that, you can upload the phone to 2.3, 3.0 or ICS 4.0 ROM.
On mobile now so I cannot giive you the download links for needed files. If you need them, just post a reply in the thread.
Thanks, I tried LidDroid
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1058802
And flashed Froyo and GB bootloaders, nothing is working. It just shows boot screen then still shuts down.
Update: Well I'm not sure what the issue is, I was able to get it to boot to the lock screen once, but then it shut down right after. Now I can only get it back to boot image before shutting down.
The thing I noticed is that the phone gets hot really fast, so maybe it's drawing too much power somewhere and its shutting down as a protection. Also the stock batteries don't seem to work for it, just this particular battery that it came with, which the contacts on the battery are flush with the edge of the battery instead of indented like the stock ones.
What you should do is take out your sim card and external sd card if you have one, use odin to flash back to stock rom (either 2.1 or 2.2), wait for it to load up as it might take a few minutes after you see the Vibrant logo (just be patient). If you get this far and you see the operating system, flash clockwork recovery on it.
If you can get this far, let us know then we'll talk about custom roms. The main purpose now is to get it running stock, we can worry about the custom stuff later.

Urgent help with stock recovery (One m8)

Hi guys I need some urgent help. I'm wanting to go back to stock recovery so I can install OTA updates when they are available. I made the mistake of rooting my phone without thinking about updates. I just want it back to stock so it's all nice and easy to use and I don't need to worry. I've found this thread which contains the stock recoverys but when I try and flash the STOCK RECOVERY 1.54.206.5 file I can't even into recovery and just got a error symbol up.
My phone is on the o2 network (I'm in the UK) and my phone is 4.4.2 Software number 1.54.206.5. Am I right in thinking it is that file I need?
If someone could take 5 minutes of their time to help me out it would be ever so much appreciated
EDIT - When Ive sent the stock recovery and I go to boot into it the symbol is a phone with a warning sign. Is that just what it is suppose to do or is it because it's wrong? I read on the thread "You can test originals by flashing them. If you see a phone with warning sign it's the HTC original one."
PLEASE HELP!
Nah, that's how it looks stock. You have to play around with some of the buttons to get the reset and reboot options to pop up. I can never remember what to do exactly. Try hitting the the Volume Up + Power on that screen. But I don't think they change the recovery much if at all between updates.

Ohh yes brilliant! . I panicked and thought it meant it couldn't find a suitable recovery to boot into. It's all sorted now and hopefully I will have no problem installing OTA updates when they become available. Thank you
No problem. Glad all is well.

[Q] Stuck on boot screen, no recovery, and now just stock 4.4.2

I have a massive issue...
Somehow I lost my TWRP recovery and when I tried to reflash it, I got the "software unauthorized by Verizon error" each time I started my phone.
I thought, no biggy, I'll just reflash back to VRALJB and all will be well with the world. Did it. No problem.
I then tried to unlock the bootloader. This is when all hell broke loose. I had to reflash VRALJB again and since then, I started getting stuck on the "Samsung Galaxy Note 2" screen (the first one, immediately after the phone turns on). I could not enter recovery using the (Volume UP + PWR + HOME) key combo. I could only enter download mode and use odin.
I tried everything. The only thing that worked was downloading the stock 4.4.2 Verizon image released a few days ago from sammobile.com
(I605VRUFND7_I605VZWFND7_VZW).
Now, I do not have root and my bootloader is locked, but at least I have a working phone and KitKat.
Hopefully the above helps someone, but, my question is, where do I go from here?
How do I go about installing a custom recovery and getting root? I would like to keep stock 4.4.2 as well and before anyone asks why, I want custom recovery for the sole purpose of managing my TWRP backups. Stock OS though.
Since you updated to 4.4.2, there isn't much you can do. No root, no recovery, no safestrap...yet. The only thing you can do is wait for developers to find a way to root this version of android.
Hi my friend, I have met the same problem, so could you tell me how to get that I605VZWFND7_VZW rom~
Please~~

Help again - stuck at boot logo

Update, SOLVED: Well after I got it to boot up, I tried a RUU file. After several tries I got everything working again properly even recovery. I am now on Sense version 7.0, software # 6.20.502.5. So far it all looks good.
SOLVED sort of: After a lot of head scratching, a few choice words & a lot of googling, I got it back to stock. Now when I try to go into recovery, I get the red triangle. I don't know if the recovery option is wiped out or not. It is still s-off but not rooted. Other than the red triangle everything seems to work fine.
I inherited a M8 which is stuck at the boot logo. I am afraid that the previous owner tried to unroot it and ended up wiping everything. It is S off and I can get into TWRP. I need help to unroot it back to current factory specs. So what can I do. I do know that the phone is a few years old, but I was thinking of giving it to a friend to use instead of his old flip phone. BTW there is NO operating system

Red triangle is stock recovery. The RUU returns the phone to a full stock "factory" image, all partitions, including recovery.
If you want TWRP, simply flash it back onto the phone using fastboot. TWRP 3.0.2 is recommended. Then flash SuperSU (current stable version is 2.79) in TWRP (do NOT use the built-in root option in TWRP).
