Total FAQ And Guide Section For MMX A116
1. Can I Use Kash Kernel With KK Based Roms?
Ans : No…. Strictly Prohibited…. You cannot use Kash Kernel with any of Kitkat Roms Except AOSB, MOKee, PAC And Carbon ROM.
2. Battery Draining Issue is Too Much In the Rom Based On KK, Why?
Ans : It is because Of Some Issues In the Battery Drivers…. Try Phoenix Kernel to Increase battery backup (Only On KK Based Roms) And Use Greenify or Battery Doctor
3. Updates Not Coming Frequently for CM11 and CM12. Why?
Ans : Work is In Progress… Device tree kernel tree on Git… All helps welcome….. No ETA(S). MTK is a closed Source and hence we don’t have any device Specific Tree.. We need to build it from scratch.. So wait till update arrives… Stay in Peace
4. Device Not booting Up with kash kernel on CM11 NEXT Gen ?
Ans : It is because the kernel source in Cm11 Nxt Gen is totally different… Cm11 Nedxt Gen has No more hacks and Blobs from Jelly bean and has a new KK Platform….
5. Camera Not working for Some devices in KK Roms..?
Ans : This problem is caused because of Some Problems In the Vendors… SO Wait till the Patch Arrives…. By the way, patch for New and old hardware has Came only For A116 and not for A116i.. See the Development Section
6. Wifi Problem for Cm11 NxtGen with Phoenix Kernel?
Ans : A Bug with Kernel…. You can Edit Kernel Tree and Try to Solve It or Wait till @neomanu tries to fix it…
More To Come…..

Hello.
I want to ask about benefits after changing ROM from 4.1.2 to 4.4.3. (better performace or memory managment?)
Now I'v got [4.1.2] SlimBean 3.1.0 for Xperia Sola, and I'm wondering if is it worth to change to [4.4.3] Unofficial SlimKat [V3] [Slim Build 5.9]
I'm grateful to you for your advices

Change from JB to KITKAT ? .. Well that depends on you completely . I'll tell you why
4.1.2 your stock rom has full command over your device hardware , Every hardware feature life nfc hdmi( if present ),radio, bluetooth , wifi work fine . Performance isnt that great though but its more than okay ,memory management it might be a tie but kitkat is reportedly is better than jb
Problem whit 4.4.3 is It is still being devoloped and will take long time to be near perfect , So most of 4.4.3 roms have some kind of issue with them provided in working and non working list . Only reason to go to 4.4.3 now is for software features . , As you might have seen in screenshots they have TONS of features , customisation taken to whole new level
Hit thanks if helped

Hello,
I read alot lately about porting Lollipop (CM 12.1) to my device (Allview V1 Viper which is basically a rebranded Gionee Elife E3) but i have some questions:
1. As far as i understood, there are some problems with CM and Mediatek devices. However i saw some posts with people succeeding to boot CM 12.1 on these devices. Can this be achieved ?
2. If yes, can i use KitKat stock kernel with a Lollipop build ? (my common sense says no, but who knows ?) If no, how can i build a kernel for Lollipop for this device. I saw that Mediatek released kernel source, can that be used ? Also, can i use the drivers from KitKat ? If no, which and where should i get the drivers from ? Can i use any files from KitKat stock rom for a Lollipop port ?
This will clear some things for the beginning.
Thanks in advance
I found that all rom for micromax a311 are cyanogen based... I tried lollipop all cm based based roms have same bug on data and network im fed up with it.. Now using miui 8 .. But it is kitkat i want to try lollipop or above.. Without any data or network problem.. Any suggestion
Hi surjit I think your new to to this thing. The answer is in your question... All Android ROMs greater than or equal to Android 5.0 are based on Cyanogenmod.(ONLY applies to devices with no source codes/mtk) Because we have to take a device specific ROM and convert it into a310/11 specific ROM. As most mtk device's with mtk have only cm's official rom,we take it and port it and all other ports are made out of that ported ROM.you'll find all non cm based ROMs to be below Android 5.0 because they are ported from Micromax's stock ROM. They seem to be pretty bugless. Hit thanks if you understood.

Hi Rajesh,
I think there is no MM ROM out there which completely stable I mean 2/3G switch for dual sim users is a major bug. Though I never faced any bug with GPS on the RR ROM yeah it was slow to lock down but worked. WiFi is not a bug its like this in MM builds for MTK due to lack of source codes. The Best stable ROM which never gave out issues is RR lollipop vr 2 by bikaram007. I use it as a daily driver.
( The bugs are VPN and YouTube 5 second. Which are solved and have a workaround)
Note if you do not find the YouTube 5 second fix ask me to upload it.
Thumbs up if you liked it.

I have the kernel source for JellyBean 4.2.2 that boots cyanogenmod 10 and other jellybean ROMS. But when I use that kernel for Kitkat like Cyanogenmod 11 that doesn't work.
To make sure the problem is in the kernel I packed the cm11 boot.img with the jellybean kernel and it didn't boot.
So my question is what modifications does the source need for a newer android version ?
I posted it many times found no answer .
