I have Samsung Galaxy Dous gt-s5282
android verion 4.1.2
baseband ver S5282DDANF1
build no. JZO54K.S5282XXANF3
I HAVE ALREADY ROOTED BUT CANT ABLE TO GET IN TO CCWM RECOVERY AFTHER FLASHING IT THRU ODIN
I FOLLOWED ALL PROCEDURE
I INSTALLED DRIVERS
THEN WITH MTK TOOLS I REBOOT TO RECOVER BUT REMOVED THE BATTERY AND AGAIN INSERTED BATTERY THEN WENT TO ODIN
THEN I CONNECTED TO PC N FLASH CWM RECOVERY WITH ODIN VER 5.0+
AFTER That it completed and deivce rebooted to cwm recovery n flash super su and then i restarted the device.. then again when i for cwm recovery that time it didnt come .. android stock recovery is coming everytime....
Please help me if anywhere i went wrong ... or change the procedure... please please
Delete install-recovery.sh file in system/etc/ and flash recovery 6.0.37

Very easy. Just intall this in the phone and click gandalf method. And then reboot and is rooted.

I want to know one thing that why you have root your quattro too early means still we don't have custom rom than what is benefit of voiding warranty right now.

there are other reasons to root friend.eg-remove bloatware, titanium backup ,a few useful scripts.

You can use rom manager to install clockwork mod in your phone. I haven't tried it on my quattro yet but i used it on my galaxy tab 2 before rooting it. And it worked perfectly. One more thing, i just wanna ask, is it safe to use framaroot, coz we don't have any backup available yet if something goes wrong.....

They give recovery.img file

Dont try that recovery image.. it won't work..if you wanna try use dd in terminal emulator..
Put recovery.img on sdcard (internal)..
Now run terminal emulator and type the following
su
dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p13

This command is common for all samsung or it for only i8552
Because my friend says that each and every mobile having different partition arrangement and by mistake if you will replace another partition then your phone will brick
I try g parted and f disk to know the partition name and arrangement with the help of xda forum
But in i8552 it shows arrangement and size of partition but it does not shows name of partition but in other mobile it shows name also and in i8552 it shows only linux name of all partition
So is there any other method to know partition name ?

For your info in gt-i8553 have recovery partition in mmcblk0p13 . You can check it by /data/log/recovery_log.txt file.

I got this problem when installing saveapk and then got the same problem when installing lucky patcher. But yesterday nothing happend when installing saveapk.
And i rooted with pre-rooted firmware about 15days ago and my device working fine except today.

B4 installin official firmware try clearin cache and dalvik via recovery... if it doesn't wrk den try official firmware...
and another thing. ... root ur device using cwm recovery. .. coz even I had sme problems wid prerooted firmware....

go here stock download download stock for your Region i gassing Egypt because you have a vodfone sim card then download odin from here odin extract you downloaded stock then power off your phone go to download mod by pressing volm down+home bouten+the power key then press volm up connect you phone with the pc vie usb now open odin if you are connected you should have some numbers on the left side thats your phone now do this this put your .pda file in your pda and .modem file in modem and .csc in csc do nothing to the settings and press start..done
and don't forget to press thx

Go to download mode instead and flash the stock firmware..
I think you know how to get into downloade mode...

The samsung logo lingers but nothing happens after vol up + start + power
Had to downgrade again to CWM 5
anywaywaiting for a working version of CWM 6 and CM for Galaxy Star!! hope this comes soon!

You would have flashed cwm 6.4.4!
Its in experimental stage only!
Flash cwm 6.0.3.6 .

Download it and flash it via Odin.

Sorry there arent any CM 11 available for Star at the movement!
But there is 10.1 and 10.2 CM available!
If you want those you can check out the Samsung Galaxy Star Android Development section!

Yeah.
I tried it long back!
Its just a pre-alpha version!
Try cm 10 for our star. It has some things working ( like the back button, open gl etc) . but it is based on the stock kernel! :|

I am having a problem with my GT S5282. My cousin do some custom rom on my phone
The file name was "cm10.1-unofficial(gt-s5282)-junkybean(pre-alpha1.1)". When I reboot my phone, it got stuck on loading screen, CyanogenMod.
I want to get back my old phone, but I don't know how. I search on google and I came up to Stock Rom. Any helpfull tips
