[Q] Doesn't start/turn on - HTC Desire X

Hi!
I have an HTC Desire X bricked. So i can charge the phone, the red led lights, but i can't turn it on. I was unlocking bootloader and installing costum rom and in a minute i couldn't turn on the phone. I press the power button for 10-20 seconds but it doesn't start. Can u help me? The pc doesn't recognize the phone.

Hi all,
I have the very same issue with my Desire X I rooted yesterday, following the procedure described on the hackatab website (I cannot post the link here, but you will find it easily on google...)
The strangest part is that I managed to boot it properly 1-2 times, but unfortunately since the back cover was not properly mounted the battery fell while turned on. When I tried to start it again everything went as totika10 described.
Trying the 'lower volume button + power on' technique does not change anything, the phone remains turned off in any case. Another strange, but critical, behaviour is the fact that it randomly vibrates 7 times in a row (even without touching anything...)
Is there something very wrong in the unlocking/rooting procedure? Do you think it is completely worthless trying to recover it?
Thanks a lot for any answer!

The HTC service center near you would surely help you.

[Q] HTC one X+ stuck on load screen

First of all I am a complete noob to jail breaking phones (if thats even correct! lol)
Ok so here is my problem. It started last night after playing Temple Run and the power went down to 13% I think. After that I left the phone and when I checked it again it was dead so I thought it was completely flat....so i plugged in the charger. After awhile I checked again and tried to turn it on but it didnt till I held the on/off button for a while and the load screen pops up and gets stuck there. Also I noticed when I plugged in the charger however the charging light does not turn on but when I turn on the phone it does. After a couple of tries the light at some point blinks.
I own a HTC one X+ (T mobile).
I dont believe it is rooted since the bootloader says "locked"
I have tried searching the forum and there were afew people with the same problem but that seems to be because they have rooted their phones and I have not. Also I tried going through the threads but could not really understand half the things being said.
Help.

Can you get into the bootloader ? (hold power + vol down)? If the phone is untouched and not rooted perhaps a factory reset will fix it.
remember to hold the power + vol down for 10 seconds so that you boot into the boatloader

I can get into bootloader. As I have said it said "locked" :/
I did try factory reset but nothing happens. And when i put it in recovery mode it just gets stuck again on load screen
If the phone is still factory stock untouched just return it under warranty. Let t-mobile deal with it

[Q] HTC One Display Wont Turn on

Hello to everyone in this Awesome forum, long time lurker here, first time poster. I have a vast experience flashing Roms on a plethora of devices From My Huawei Ascend/Htc Amaze and plenty more but today my Lack of knowledge has finally caught up and I flashed CM10.1 on my HTC One(M7) and it was working fine but until earlier today when my screen went off and it wont come back on... I called my phone and the call goes thru you can see the soft keys turn on but the screen stays off, now when I long press the power/IR button the soft keys flash many times but the phone doesn't Reboot it just keeps flashing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. and yes to the trolls out there I have been looking on the forum for around 3 hours and all I can find is HTC One X post... Thanks For the HElp
You need to hold down the power button for 10 secs and it should reboot. If not you can try to boot into recovery using adb on your computer.
If you still can't see your screen then try using this app called [email protected] on your pc to try and mirror your phone.

Thanks for the suggestions, ill post back if any of them work.
(Update) it seems my phone is not on adb debug so it wont work with the latter and when it comes to the power hold I've been holding for longer than a min and nothing happens... thanks tho
I had this same exact problem last night, I just plugged back into the charger(the one connected to the wall outlet) and the screen came back on and it asked for my SIM card lock passcode, after that then it rebooted itself, and has been working fine since.
Hope this helps

hi all,
i had same problem, it happened second time, after i finish phone call, screen can not turn on while phone is on, volume keys react, and there is sound from incoming call.
tried to reboot, tried to to enter to recovery mode, every time two led buttons at the bottom were on or blinking.
first time when it happened reboot (hold power button for 10 sec) helped, and second time nothing could help, after about hour it started to work again.
very strange, i changed version and waiting for results.
This is most likely an issue with the light sensor at the top left of the front of the phone..
I've noticed similar symptoms during calls.. but if you are near a bright light the screen will become visible.
Additionally.. i recently had an issue where the phone shut off and wouldnt turn back on.. i held a bright light to the light sensor and then held the power down along with Volume -/+ buttons and the issue resolved itself..
the light sensor...
I had the same problems with the screen... first it was happen randomly from time to time. Plug it to charging and blank screen. Not responding to hard buttons. And come up from alone. All this happen few times until today... Does not matter what you do, the screen remain black and dead. Start thinking for replacement of the screen(which is very costly and seems that need to be done by htc=$200).
The case: the light sensor working in kind of revers mode. Means when there is light screen is still shot off(the chip did not get the proper signal and "think" it is still dark) so the screen is out of power and all the hard button and soft as well are out of any function. Pressing the power button ends up flashing soft home and revers on the screen, same as described in the first post.
THE SOLUTION: take a led flash light(i used another phone flash light) and light the sensor in the upper left corner of the phone. If this is the problem the screen will immediately come on. Then press the power button and restart the phone to reset the logic signal to the chip and to have proper reading. NOTE: it is kind of hard to operate the phone and light at the same time the sensor with the flash light. If needed get some help but you need sensor covered with light until restart the phone, otherwise the screen will become black immediately.
GOOD LUCK,

[Q] My Screen Is Stuck On Black! :(

Hey Team!
I've been rooting and tinkering with android phones since the HTC Dream days. Normally, most troubleshoots I can overcome on my own fairly routinely over the years. I kind of feel like I've met my match on this one and I could REALLY use you guys' help!
Here's the story:
So my phone, of course, is the T-Mobile HTC One. What I've done so far? Unlocked the Bootloader. Added a CWM custom recovery. Currently using a 1.29....16 OTA clone deodexed Rom created by Team Nocturnal. I'm using a Faux123 Kernel and have it overclocked to 1.9 GHz with all of his suggested UV settings and Intellidemand Governor chosen. I have the Xposed Framwork installed as well. I've had all of this running smoothly together for weeks with not one random reboot or lockup. The phone has literally been flawless. Until this.....
So, i'm listening to music with headphones plugged in for my Spotify app and relaxing. About 10 minutes into the music session, the music stops. I look down and the app seems frozen. I pick up the phone and turn the screen on. As I swipe the screen to unlock, the phone freezes. I turn the screen off by pressing the power button. From this point on, the screen will not turn back on at all!!
What I've tried:
1) The usual hard reset via power button and volume down. Even power button by itself. The capacitive buttons just keep blinking, but the device never reboots at all.
2) I've tried plugging the device to a computer. The usb connection responds because the computer makes a sound. When I look at the device manager, it does show that it detects the M7 device to be connected. However, when trying to use any ADB commands, it simply states the device is not found (running Windows 8, btw).
3) Freaked out for about 10 minutes before regaining my composure and thinking of one last thing. Only thing I can think left to do is pull the battery. Of course this isn't possible with the HTC One, so my only comparative option would be to let the battery drain completely. The irony is that I boast so much about my phone's battery life, so I know that I'll be waiting 2-3 days for this to happen before I can hope for resolution after.
I've tried to be as specific as possible here guys. I'm far from an expert, but I've owned 4 or 5 android phones since 2008 and have never bricked one. If anyone knows anyway to bring my phone back from this RANDOM sleep of death, please let me know so.
Forever Grateful!
put it under a bright light while holding power or power+volume down
When home and back button blink, do they keep blinking and did you try holding the power button. This happen to me the home and back button kept blinking and the display stayed black, so I kept holding the power button, and the screen turned on... so, not sure if you already tried this anyway, good luck
Thanks for your help everyone! The bright light technique worked!!!
I had the same problem and letting mine completey die worked tried the brightlight and didn't work checked two days later it died put on charger and bam right on

i am having the same problem, its a pain in the ass to get a light on the sensors, could it be that its happening because i also use a charger for a different android phone? had a old lg mytouch 4g charger. maybe i should let the battery drain completely. i want a real solution instead of having the phone screen shut off and stay off on me.

Help! HTC Desire 610 not turning on?!

Hello!
Recently I've been using my Desire and it was going good. Nothing unusual happening. All of a sudden my phone turns off and wont turn back on! I've tried charging it to see if it was out of battery, I've tried pressing down the power button and the volume buttons, but nothing happened! I haven't been doing anything to my phone lately, so I don't know what the problem is.
The screen isn't cracked, but I've dropped it a bit.
Please help.
Had exactly the same issue after 3 weeks of use.
HTC support had to replace the motherboard to fix it.

Is there a possibilty to turn on HTC 601 Desire with broken power button?

Hey, I've got a problem with my power button.
The problem is that it's completely broken and it's not responding. I have an app that helps me to wake up the screen with shake/double click/ or using sensors. But yesterday I forgot to charge it and now it's turned off. Battery is ok, tried to change it with my brothers battery. It's charging because it shows the charging progress (in %) on screen.
Is there any way to restart the phone? I saw some threads about using volume buttons but it doesn't work for me , even after many tries.
Thanks in advance for your help.
btw. Im not english speaking person, so I hope you will understand everything I wanted to ask
It's sad, but probably you just "killed" your phone.
There is no way to wake it up. Turn ON needs physical switch.
Only solution for you is: http://www.ebay.com/itm/POWER-ON-OF...3687f25&pid=100623&rk=2&rkt=6&sd=281618206171
