I don't see the ROM. How to install?
@OmarEinea thank you for all the hard work, you've brought a couple lollipop Roms to our device now and have been keeping them up to date. Great job, much appreciated. How is battery life on this? And is the kernel able to make backups or is it like the cyanogenmod recovery?

I will try flashing again in a bit, but right now I have slow data on LTE and WiFi which is normally fast. Typical speeds right now are very slow. Recovery doesn't work either. Will edit my post after I flash again
UPDATE: Tried flashing again with the same issues.
Just flashed this ROM and really liking it - very fast will be daily driver for now thanks for the great ROM
Any chance y'all could look into supporting the GPE edition also? Loved slim on my G2 and Galaxy Nexus.
Thanks!

SlimLP doesn't have recovery yet, you should be able to have recovery through many different ways,
my recommended one is to use MultiROM mode, it's fantastic

It's true SlimKat had TWRP, but SlimLP has aosp recovery until now, though TWRP should be included in it soon (I hope )

Well just like any other ROM (in addition to flashing SuperSU)
http://slimroms.net/index.php/installation
so just after flashing GAPPS, flash SuperSU and you'll be good to go.
Regards,
Omar.
Tried to use Multirom TWRP to F2FS format and clean install but it doesnt work. So convert back to ext4 and clean installed. Worked well but couldn't recognise my 64GB card which is exFaT formatted. So going to convert to FAT32 before trying again.
Works fast and furious. So will be using as daily for now.
Thank you Omar... you and the rest of the devs have been fast and furious getting LP roms out for us.
How to enter the recovery? I just can't manage how to do that.

Hi and i had the problem with recovery for me the most easy way is to enter dual recovery with flashtool and 108_DualRec_Jackie099.img kernel and simply Hot boot the kernel .Its not permanent recovery everytime you need you have to use flashtool and the hot boot kernel.I can make a video if you want.
really fast and extremely easy to set up.
this runs smoother and faster than the GPE port.
face smart-lock is extremely useful!
Viper4Android works ? Thx BTW.

SlimLP doesn't have recovery yet, so I recommend you to install the TWRP recovery from MultiROM through fastboot in /recovery partition,
or use the whole MultiROM mode as it's brilliant and very useful
this way you'll have recovery out side of the ROM and you'll be able to update and do everything without losing the recovery.
Regards,
Omar.

Thank you! MultiROM is actually very cool and solved my problem.
Omar,
Would you have any idea why formatting data and cache to f2fs would cause the ROM to boot endlessly after the kernel boot up?
Meaning the booting continues at the SlimLP boot animation for a long time. I tried doing it by converting to f2fs after a clean install with both data and cache as ext4 initially and also formatting to f2fs before doing a clean install. Both just gets stuck at the booting animation. It just keeps running
I am also running this rom with multirom and it is great, with more features be added later like dark slim, etc. ?
Also the battery life is quite good as well, getting about 5 hours sot all lte no wifi with location on and syncing 5 email accounts
hello,
after installation I have no access to the sd card. not possible with titanium backup restore apps.

Some hints:
1. Be sure you are on latest CWM or TWRP recovery!!!!!!
2. Not all gapps packages right now are nice working. You can try others but at least I know that the one linked here is working. If you have other gapps which are working you can link it here of course
3. Full wipe when coming from any 4.3 or 4.4 rom (as well format system manually please)
Reporting Bugs
When you submit a bug you want to make sure that nothing from your side is causing it. Otherwise your developer might be hunting a bug which doesn't really exist.
The best way to achieve this is by doing the following.
1. Make a nandroid backup.
2. Perform a full wipe (factory reset + wipe /system)
Now we have two different ways depending on what kind of problem you're having.
3a. When you're having a problem with a ROM function, flash just the ROM without GAPPS etc. and boot back into the system. You will boot directly onto the homescreen.
3b. When you're having a problem with a 3rd party app in combination with our ROM then flash the ROM and GAPPS.
Boot now back into the system. You will boot to the setup wizard.
Log in to your Google account but make sure that you untick "Restore from my Google Account to this phone/tablet".
Finish the setup and open the playstore and download only the app you're having problems with.
4. Start a logcat recording and reproduce the bug (if possible more than once) while taking the logcat. If you don't know how to get a logcat read this tutorial or this.
5. Post the logcat in a txt file (this is important because you otherwise clog up the threads with your log) in the correct thread.
Please also write detailed description how we can reproduce the bug.
6. Restore your backup from point 1 and wait for a fix (don't ask for ETAs).
Thanks! It's this the same as the aosp versions other then the fixes you have listed?

yes we start from scratch so it is nearly AOSP at the moment.
so the above stated additions are on top of AOSP
all other will follow step by step
first stability then nice features
Agreed!
I am down downloading now. I'll let you know how it goes!

Up and running. It is super smooth and fast. I am using this with multirom and did not share kernels. You can also flash this with the latest twrp 2.6.3.0.
There are a couple bugs that are also in the other 4.4 ROMs.
1) screen rotation doesn't work. Also, if you open an app that requires landscape, it will switch but then you are stuck in landscape. Use app called ultimate rotate control from the play store to switch back and forth.
2) the keyboard pops up everytime you press the home button if you have "launcher" selected. This can be fixed by using a different launcher like nova but then you don't have the "OK Google" voice search and functions.
Neither of those bugs are more then an annoyance and I can live with both. Definitely a daily driver !
Oh, gps and location services seem to be working on this ROM , which I believe people were saying didn't work on the others ☺
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
Oh, that was fast. awesome Running great so far but I noticed a few things:
I wasn't able to install it with TWRP, got some sort of error. It worked with CWM though.
After playing The Simpsons: Tapped Out I am stuck in Landscape Mode. No matter what I do, it won't return to portrait.
Other than that, no big issues Great work.
Literally one post above yours. -____-

Working fine! I flashed through twrp recovery and everything is working. As I can see, "ok google" vocal command doesn't work on italian language, but it's working using english, awesome.
Testing it in these days and reporting bugs guys
Hi,
Maybe it's only me but if I launch a game that is displayed only in landscape, after quitting the game, I'm stuck in landscape mode.
Is there a workaround ?

Didn't tried ART compiler on this rom yet, but I've already tried on PA 4.4 and everything crashed after the initial apps upgrade, so, yeah, I think it's gonna crash even in this build :|
The keyboard still pops up when you press home button, not a big issue
Thank you devs for one hell of a alpha release!!!

Full TeamWin credits are on the TWRP page on the TeamWin website: http://teamw.in/project/twrp2
Introduction:
Team Win Recovery Project or twrp2 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. We started from the ground up by taking AOSP recovery and loading it with the standard recovery options, then added a lot of our own features. It's a fully touch driven user interface , no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.
Key Features:
Touchscreen driven with real buttons and drag-to-scroll
XML-based GUI that allows full customization of the layout true theming!
Settings are saved to the sdcard and persist through reboots
Ability to choose which partitions to back up and which to restore
Ability to choose to compress backups now with pigz (multi-core processor support for faster compression times)
Onscreen keyboard
Decryption of /data
Easy selection of internal/external storage
See changelog below for new features
In addition to the above new features, TWRP features a scripting engine that allows an app to send commands to the recovery for the recovery to perform during startup. We call this scripting engine OpenRecoveryScript. This engine will be put to use immediately in the GooManager app. GooManager will be able to install recoveries automatically for most supported devices. The app will also let you choose to install multiple zips from within Android, wipe cache & dalvik, and run a backup.
We are looking for other talented developers, themers, and device maintainers if they are interested in helping with a free, open source project.

Um try READING the op.
I'm a little late to the party, but I've gotten my hands on an YP-G70. I tried installing TWRP on it, but CWM complaints about it being the wrong version. I couldn't see any different versions of it...I've also tried flashing it with Rashr flash tool, but that one also says it's not a valid recovery.
Any hints as to what I can do next?
I have been attempting to install CM12 / Carbon 5.1.1. I have worked my way up from GB to CM 11 / Carbon KK 4.4.4 then I get stuck.
After installing on reboot I get an initial Nutella logo for a few seconds and then the screen goes black (although you can tell it is still backlit) and then nothing. Left it for a couple of hours just in case it required a long install time... nothing. I can get it into this rudimentary recovery fwiw.
So came across this, Is it still mandatory to install TWRP 2.8.0.0? If so could someone kindly upload or add a new link please. Most are to Mega which is now kaput.
I tried installing from Slim 4.4.2 ( Beanstock is also on Mega but it only has TWRP 2.6.5) as suggested somewhere but no go either.
Thanks for breathing life back into my Player 5, I am eager to try Lollipop on it.
Thanks in advance.
How do I install it? I am on stock firmware, do I need a custom firmware first?

Thank you so much for the hard work and answering my previous questions. I'll definitely be flashing this and reporting back tomorrow. Question: if I'm on the latest cm12 build currently, can i just flash the new TWRP through Odin over the CWM recovery for the Sport? Or is it required to flash back to the stock firmware?

Been working great all day. Haven't hit any bugs and doze is really helping battery life! Thanks again @1991mustang50 for this and TWRP. Will say that TWRP is slow to take a stock backup (not as slow as the CWM we had prior), but it may be because TouchWiz is so heavy. Either way, thanks again. I sold it for $100 to a cousin. It was in a rough condition around the edges and had call quality issues
Having issues getting data or cell service - I can see sprint under network operators, but haven't been able to get the phone connected. Is anyone else having the same issue and/or found a workaround?
I've flashed TWRP and the ROM and I have to say that so far there have been very few issues. TWRP makes backups very quickly compared to the previous CWM. The ROM has calls, data, SMS, and MMS working perfectly. One minor issue is that if you go into settings and click on carrier settings it will not recognize the SIM card and it will continuously crash the phone application until you reboot. It's a minor issue with an easy fix so dont worry too much about it. I tested Bluetooth which isn't in very good shape. Listening to music from my phone on a wireless headset was constantly cutting out. However I understand it's a beta build and Bluetooth shouldn't be a very big problem for me as I can just use the headphone jack. This next problem I don't think is specifically tied to the ROM however I would like if anyone can give me any ideas for. Basically write access on the external SD is not working as usual but all of the previous fixes you could use aren't working anymore. Any ideas or fix for marshmallow? Overall, the ROM is in great condition for such a new release. Doze works beautifully and battery life is even better than the previous CM12.1 build. I'll be using the ROM more to see if I can tell you about any other issues I may encounter. Thanks so much for the great ROM and TWRP. I'll be looking forward to future builds.

Very nice ROM. But why if I flash ROM and then SuperSU 2.52 gives me a bootloop.
Maybe because of Privacy Guard? Please anyone can tell me the reason.
I don't need answer like "use Privacy Guard instead of SuperSU" or something like this.

Flash 2.74 and sharpening script or any other script that'll rebump the kernel and you're good to go.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.
Code:
#include

3rd PARTY ADDONS/MODS
While we have no issues with people using supersu/magisk/xposed/custom kernels/etc, we can't provide support for users who have them installed.
This thread is not the right place to discuss about mods/addons.
HOW TO INSTALL LINEAGEOS
- Make sure your phone is running Oreo firmware (from OxygenOS 5.0)
- Remove custom encryption pins/passwords else decryption will fail!
- Download the LineageOS zip(s). (see Downloads)
- Copy the LineageOS zip to internal sdcard.
- Unlock bootloader and install TWRP.
- Boot into TWRP.
- Perform a backup of your current ROM. (Optional)
- RECOMMENDED: Do a factory reset! No support if you didn't!
- Flash LineageOS.
- Optional: Install the Google Apps addon package. (see Downloads)
- Reboot
HOW TO UPDATE LINEAGEOS (15.1 -> 15.1)
- Download the LineageOS zip(s). (see Downloads)
- Copy the LineageOS zip to internal sdcard.
- Flash LineageOS.
- Reboot

HOW TO CONTRIBUTE?
Send your patches up for review: https://review.lineageos.org/
At SourceForge (found at downloads link above) we also occasionally provide firmware zips or custom built TWRPs.
We use them when developing and also make them available to others, but please note they are unsupported.
They are good enough for us developing but might not be good enough for everyone's usecases.
@codeworkx is trying to upstream the changes we did to TWRP and created a thread for that, if you need some more help.

Yes, i am one of the Lineage OnePlus5(T) maintainers and this is what you will get, when official nightlies are starting.
Only difference though is, that i am building with "sdclang", official build servers build using the default toolchain.
// edit
to clear up confustion, previously my github and general username was "Evisceration", nowadays it is "amartinz".
Bit off topic, will Lineage get exchange support in the future?, as now its missing in all oreo roms (not gmail with addons)
Thanks for new rom and your hard work. It is nice to see on op5t forum great devs
btw, until official builds, there will be few more builds ? Thanks

Yes, there will be more builds.
we put up builds whenever we see fit, means if there are new features or things to test or if more fixes are in.
We do not want to waste people's time with flashing roms when there are no changes at all
Super glad to see you here! I also see codeworkx has already uploaded the TWRP for 15.1 (8.1) and can't wait to try this when I have an off day to mess around with it!
@Evisceration What is yours suggestion for root ?

Alright, so it seems that it is not on the bringup item list.
It seems CAF did a single commit regarding exchange in 2017 so seems not a high priority for them as well.
And the people who usually worked on exchange are not active since some time, so it does not look promising.
Seems everyone is shifting focus to gmail or other third party apps.

I personally use the built in root via adb.
Magisk should be fine but it annoys me when i have to reflash it everytime when i flash a new kernel.
That Kingoroot thingy from china seems really suspicious to me and i would not even touch it with a pole.
Though, use whatever you see fit, I provide some limited support helping out to get stuff running if someone runs into troubles but my support time is not infinite

Ok, thanks for letting me know, i use the exchange/email package from CM/Lineage 14 and its still fully functional.
As for root: SuperSU-v2.82-201705271822 still the best.
Do you know when the migration from 14.1 to 15.1 will start? Tom is running beautifully but I'm missing so many features.
Ok, tried flash clean with magisk, without no verity ( I am decrypted) , got bootlop.
New try : clean , rom, gapps, magisk 15.2, no verity booted fine
Everything seems fine, fingerprint working, camera also.
Some pictures

You can best follow the current development state by having a look at the Code Review.
Many features are in work, listing some below as example
Deskclock - https://review.lineageos.org/#/q/topic:deskclock-o
Live Display - https://review.lineageos.org/#/q/topic:oreo-mr1-livedisplay
Download speed and manual pause/resume support - https://review.lineageos.org/#/q/topic:oreo-mr1-download-provider
Button lights (not interesting for the 5T though) - https://review.lineageos.org/#/q/topic:oreo-buttons-lights
Even more button settings - https://review.lineageos.org/#/q/topic:oreo-mr1-buttons-redux
Long press to kill app - https://review.lineageos.org/#/q/topic:oreo-mr1-kill-app
Advanced reboot menu - https://review.lineageos.org/#/q/topic:oreo-mr1-rebootmenu
bfqio (will have a look at adding it to our kernel as well) - https://review.lineageos.org/#/q/topic:oreo-mr1-bfqio
CDMA - https://review.lineageos.org/#/q/topic:cdma
so these i found with just having a quick look at the review pages, took me 20 times longer to write this than actually find it
Things simply take time, but are processing good.

glad to hear!
i am encrypted though, modifications like removing encryption etc are not tested by us.
I did a clean wipe, format data, then flashed rom with 8.1 unofficial pico gapps and 15.2 magisk. When i boot up, the phone boots back into the recovery. Using the 8.1 recovery from the OP.
Any ideas?
Great work! I'm very happy to see this! Downloading...

Is this supposed to say "OnePlus 5"?
Questions:
What's the status of Privacy Guard?
I assuming we're currently encrypted with keymaster1. Will be be migrating to keymaster3 at any point in the future?
Thanks!

No. I assumed that was required if one wanted the rom decrypted or something.

Just flash rom and gapps, reboot and setup device. Then reboot to recovery and flash root.
