[Q] sideloaded apps not fullscreen - Samsung Gear S

I'm looking for some help. I'm running the gear S with my LG G3. everything is going great. I've started to side loaded apps and watch faces but the only .WGT files I can find are for the gear 2 which need tweaking to go full screen on the gear S. can someone tell me how to do this (my app writing skills are 0 but am good with tech and learning) also if someone could point me to where a can get the runtastic.wgt that will work when side loaded. (I can sign the app I just cant find one that works)

Sony z ultra and gear s
I found your question helpful if that makes sense! But my note 3 isn't working so I'm getting a sony xperia z ultra but want to be able to work the gear s with is!! What does side loading apps and watch faces for the gear s mean and how can I do!! P.s. I have a new YouTube channel called GT classics so I need my gear s to be working. I will happily give a shout out to the site and the people who are willing to help!! Thanks and god bless you all!!

[Q] Recon MOD Live

Hi,
I recently bought Oakley Airwave goggles with the Recon MOD Live HUD.
From my research I know that it runs Android 2.3.3
Does anyone have tried to run apps from the play store on this? i.e. Whatsapp, FB,....
There is an SDK, but I don't get the thing to code an app by myself if there are already tons of it.
thanks in advance,
Ben

You can side load APKs, if you turn on USB debugging.
I\O Recon snow 2. This could be cool, if the right guys are interrested!
Hey, I recently bougth this goggle, but for me it's so much to learn and a hard way to get to the level i need to make them useful..
For startes there are no apps for them. And the maps are only for skiing resorts. If there are someone in here, that would be so kind to help I would be so happy.
I'm going to use them for snowmobil. Rigth now i have used a ton of money on waste beacouse the maps only work in skiing resorts outside Norway
I've tried, google'd, read, search'd everything in my power. XDA is the best, and therfore I try here. Please help!

[Q] Pairing my Gear S with HTC One didn't work as intended at all

Hello guys,
So, i just bought a Samsung Gear S for my HTC One, and yes i know this is not 100% fully working, but i'll get a Samsung Alpha in few months.
Well, i followed your tutoriels and guides, and nothing went as planned.
The most embarassing thing is that i can't acces the Samsung Gear Store : is this a normal thing ? Or did i just mess up somewhere ?
Surprinsingly, S Voice function works 100%. I can't control my music tho. And the phone calls works very fine.
So, do you guys have any idea how i could fix this store issue ? Cause i would like to install something like Opera Mini or some other apps.
Thank you for reading, and sorry for my poor english
You need a Samsung phone that you can pair with the Gear s in order access the Samsung app store to install apps on the watch.
Best to find a friend with a compatible phone , pair it with theirs, then add whatever apps you want.
Or go to an electronics store that has compatible phones on display and pair your watch with one of them if you can.

I have an HTC M8 too and tried the workaround. This caused various issues and a few things didn't work post install of the Gear Mgr. I wanted something better and needed access to the gear store. And the last thing I wanted was be forced to buy and use a Samsung phone.
This isn't for everybody, but here's my fix...
I just bought a cheapo Samsung Gear S compatible phone off eBay and turned it into a notification relay point. You can get one for as little as ~$70:
Plug in it, connect to Wi-Fi, download Gear Mgr, clone the apps/email (from HTC) you want Notifs from, and set it up to remotely send the chosen app's notifications. For your HTC's texts, there are a handful of SMS forwarding apps on Play that work great. One app allows for you to reply with the native mobile # just as if it came from your HTC. Last step, set your watch to be standalone.
Everything works, including S-voice.
Thanks a lot guys ! A friend of mine has à Galaxy Note 2, i think it will be fine !
I'll keep you in touch if anyone wants to know what happened next !

Could you explain this a bit more, please?
I have someone who would love to get the Gear S but is a hard core iPhone user. I guess he could get a cheapo Galaxy phone, connect it to Wifi at home, but I don't understand the clone part, and how the cheapo gets the HTC notifications.
Guessing it may not work at all with an iPhone, but still interested in understanding the process.
Samsung could have really tapped that market by releasing a Gear Manager app on the Apple app store, and advertised a bit more.
No one knows what's on my wrist, but once explained, a lot of people would be potential customers if only the friggin Galaxy phone wasn't a prerequisite.

What you need to do is basically put the same apps on the relay device as your daily driver. Sign in to each app and then go to the Gear Mgr and make sure that app has a check mark.
As far as email. Use the stock Samsung email app and/or GMail . Enter all of your account info and, again, make sure the Gear Mgr is set.
So basically, all your doing is taking a dummy S compatible phone and creating a clone of your phone's app and email configuration.
Not sure if the iStore has an app that will forward your texts...but, hopefully, they should. If not, Google voice is another way to go.
I did a write up on this:

Use Jefit on Samsung Gear S

Hi everone.
I got a Samsung Gear S from my girlfriend in christmas present and i would like to use Jefit ( cant link to play where it is, since im a new member) for my Gear S , insteed of useing my mobile evertime now, but dont find a way to do it, was hopeing rooting the phone would fix this and let me install or use what ever app i wanted like jailbreaking a Iphone.
But seems like i can only install what ever theme, ringtoon, font etc.. and nothing else, when searching or im i wrong?
Is there a way to use Jefit on my gear S watch somehow?
Thanks,

Gear S and Moto G4 Play

I apologize for making yet another thread about Gear Manager, but after countless weeks of searching, I have yet to find anything that works for me. Is it possible to use Gear Manager with this phone and watch combo? Is there anything I can do to have the watch do more than just receive my phone calls? I do not currently have the money to get a Galaxy phone, and I would like to be able to use this watch. I'll root the phone if I have to, or if there is an app that exists that can just push notifications to it, that would be great as well. Thanks in advance to anyone for any help with this.

Gear fit on any android 5.1+ and 6.0+

There is a new app in the Google Play Store that runs the Gear Fit with any phone model even with android 6, with notification icons and everything.
It's called Gear Fit Pro.
hey Awesome work. I see that you got language change working. Do you think it would be possible to collaborate with my app Open Fit? you have freatures that are much requested such as language change, notification icons, and even wallpaper support. Please let me know if we can work something out. Thank! @RenderXor
gracias espero tu respuesta
Hi.
Is there any chance for english language on this app?
There is a new update with many updates.
Gear Fit Pro Lite
Gear Fit Pro
(I do not have permission to link to this forum yet)
@Miromerek - Now the default language is English. It was my fault.
@jareddlc - Your work is very good, in a way you were an inspiration for me to create this project. It also influenced that my girlfriend had a Gear Fit and was disgusted by not being able to use it with her cell phone. So I decided, and after much reverse engineering on the Samsum software, little by little and with a lot of work I was giving shape to this. It has been a lot of work and that is why I want to get some economic performance from it, at least to cover all the work that has cost me. However, I applaud your work and your decision to offer it in open source. I am still working on the functions and soon I hope to get support for spheres, s-healt and lastly compatibility with the applications already created for gear fit.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much.
Is there option to display weather on gear fit or i'm missing something ? Anyway thanks for app, finally i was able to change language !
Is there any info about custom watch faces support? Like using those at the app store... ty

Get that to work and you'll get my money. For now I'll stick to openfit. Still that app looks promising though
@RenderXor would it be possible for you to make it compatible with 4.3? I have a BlackBerry Q5 and the android runtime only goes up to 4.3
Sent from my Q5 using XDA Free mobile app
Gear Fit Pro is awesome !!! I can't believe it -- everything that I use/need works!!! Calendar notifications come with item data, all text notifications show preview of message, even the "See on device" worked! Best of all -- alarms can be snoozed and dismissed from the Gear!!! And, the Health display is not bad at all - sync with Google is there... THIS IS AWESOME APP thank you - will purchase gladly!!!
