So my Mediapad M1 constantly connects and disconnects in MTP Mode.
It doesn't appear as connected to the laptop (Windows 8.1), and I can't xfer files using the supplied cable.
It might be related to debugging, but I don't think that's the case, as it seems to be messed up whether debugging is on or off.
I will link to a video in Dropbox, here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1kfay1qeuq43h7l/VID_20150127_192247.mp4?dl=0
Any suggestions? Thanks...

Hello,
Few weeks ago I updated my Tablet to ICS with AiO-Tool by condi. Today I tried to connect my Tablet to PC to use some of the AiO-functions. But my Tablet doesn't show up in devices list in Windows. In device-manager there is no device that could be my tablet. Normally it says "Unknown device" but there is still nothing
Does anybody has the same problem or knows how to solve this? Thank you
djlars
Try to set usb debugging off. Then connect and re enable it again. If that doesn't work restart you tab in recovery mode let you pc install the driver and then reboot system. If your pc doesnt show any thing then try a other usb port on your pc last you could try is to use a device thats compitable with your tab like a camera or something but you will need the official kable from sony to connect the micro usb to normal usb...
I'm on the original Tablet S here. Using a USB cable that I know for sure works, plugging it into my tablet and then the computer has no effect. It just isn't recognized, and I've tried this on two different computers.
Is it likely that my USB port on my tablet is just broken? I hope not...

USB debugging is indeed on, why? And I'll try installing drivers but the tablet used to connect just fine to my PC...

Prior to the latest OTA I was able to get USB Debugging working by changing the phone to a Connection Sharing mode and then to Ethernet specifically. Since taking the new update I have not been able to get adb to recognize the device. They removed the previous USB mode used and we only have Media and Camera modes now (both of which I tried). The phone itself is indicating that USB debugging is enabled and actively working, but I can't get it to show in adb itself. Any pointers or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Steps tried:
Toggling developer mode off and on
Updating USB driver to the latest from the SDK manager
Media Sync Mode
Camera Mode
Restarting ADB multiple times
I had to install the latest drivers from the LG site itself, and change the usb port on my PC....then toggling Media Sync (MTP) and Camera (PTP), it finally gained adb access. Although, even with adb I still cannot root via ioroot.

Thanks, that did the trick!
The part about changing the USB port on your PC, is unclear to me. Did you have to change from a USB3 port to a USB2 port ? Or did you mean that the USB2 port you had previously been using successfully would no longer work ?
I am worried about USB2 ports being required, since many new laptops now only include USB3 ports.

Went from a previously working usb3 to a previously working usb2 and neither worked.....plugged it into another usb2 on the back of my case and surprisingly it worked. Perhaps remove the device/drivers from the old usb ports you had been using then re-install the new drivers again.....maybe that will work.

Greetings fellows,i need some help here
My Redmi runs with the Latest Bule Mokee Rom.
Now i have a big problem with the MTP connection...
I'm using Win 10 x64 Pro on my Pc and just cant get Mtp to work.
Already tried out disabling Usb debugging, switching to Ptp mode (Can access internal Dcim folders etc) and back to Mtp but it wont work,Mass Storage works too tough.
In MTP Mode i even see Redmi2 in my Device Manager, but it seems the driver or whatever is broken.
After some google searches i found Drivers, did a Clean install and removed old stuff with Usb deviewer, still no success.
Sorry for my horrible english, but i hope someone can help :fingers-crossed:
Have a try: use another USB cable, sometimes, it happens.
Are you using the original USB cable that came with the phone?

I just tried the Original Cable, still the same problem, already plugged it in a other Usb port too.
Right now i have the RMN2 of a friend connected (Stock rom) and it just tries to install drivers.
So it's not Rom or Device related, guess my Win 10 ****ed up some drivers.
Hi people, I'm having issue that's driving me mad. With USB debugging turned off, USB to PC connection works fine, I can tether, access my files and all that. If I try to connect with USB debugging enabled however, the USB connection just fails over and over again leading to hundreds of auto play popups on my pc and the "du dun" sound playing every second. I've tried removing all the drivers and reinstalling them to no avail.
Can anyone tell me what the hell is going on? PC is running Win 7 x64 ultimate, phone is on latest official firmware. Thanks.
Have you tried SPflashtool?
