Gear Manager Notification Options Disappearing - Samsung Gear S

This all started when I reset my phone and watch. I restored the phone through Kies (I have a Note 4). The apps I downloaded from the Gear Store no longer work after reset so I uninstall from the phone and reinstall. When this happens, my notification options in Gear Manager for Email and Messages disappear. So I no longer get alerts for these 2 apps (using stock on both). This is what I've tried so far to get it back:
Force stop Gear Manager, clear data
Stop Bluetooth on phone and restart
Reboot Watch
Reboot Phone
Uninstall/Reinstall Gear Manager
The only way to get it back is to reset the watch. I don't know if it has anything to do with the phone backup I did in Kies, because I reinstalled CarOO Gear and it didn't mess up. The app it just happened with is Wrist List

[Q] Consequences of Rooting and trying to pair to a Gear 2 Neo?

This is crossposted from the Gear 2 Neo forum, in the event that the phone experts might have some thoughts, because it seems related to the phone and not the Gear 2 Neo.
I just received an update to the Gear Manager today. Now I can't connect the rooted Galaxy S4 to the unmodified Gear 2 Neo. Both have been rebooted several times.
Background:
Pre-update, the Gear 2 Neo was successfully connected to the unrooted Galaxy S4. After rooting, the connection remained and still worked.
Today I looked at the watch faces running under the Multi Watch app and saw they were corrupted (the number for the calendar had floated off to the upper right in the screen). So I decided to reset my Gear 2 Neo. When I tried to connect, the watch and phone evidently exchanged PINs correctly, but the phone kept jumping back to the 'Select Device to Connect' screen and wouldn't recognize the watch as connected. It seems like a sort of 'loop' as the Gear Manager keeps reverting to the "select the Gear you want your phone to connect to" screen.
Gear seems paired successfully in the phone's BT settings, but won't connect there either.
Multiple deletes of the Gear in the Bluetooth settings haven't worked. Uninstalled and reinstalled the Gear Manager several times. Cleared all the caches and data for Gear Manager several times. Rebooted both devices several times.
S4 rooted with Towelroot; SuperSU Pro installed. Root access granted to Titanium Backup, Memory Booster, Root Explorer. Formerly had BusyBox and xPosed framework (running Wanam on 'recommended settings') installed. Uninstalled BusyBox and xPosed and Wanam. No luck.
Tested the Gear 2 Neo by trying to connect to a different S4 and S5; both connected as normal.
Any ideas? Is this related to root, or a bad app from Samsung? Or did the xPosed/Wanam framework change something that I need to change back (I'm a bit of a novice there)?
I crossposted this to the forums at Connectedly.com, and received a reply there of another person with the same problem. Makes me feel better (that I am not the only one).
BusyBox Pro has been reinstalled, as has xPosed Framework, and Wanam xPosed (but Wanam is not enabled ... yet).

Gear S stopped communicating with phone

This stupidwatch just stopped communicating with my Samsung Galaxy s5. I did a reset in the watch, removed all the gear aps, cleared the cache. Reinstalled gear manager, and the watch is stuck with a screen saying, " waiting for the Samsung Gear application setup..."
Had to delete it from bluetooth menu...working for now

Saproviders has stopped! Please help

Hello everybody. I received a new Gear S has a present. Yesterday it was working, but today everytime I connect it to the phone, a message appers saying "The program saproviders has stopped", making the phone unusable. every time I click ok it keeps popping up agian until I disconnect the gear.
I have a Samsung S4 with Thunder Universe Rom, that I was using with the Gear 1 with no problem whatsoever. The fact that I don't understand is why it was working yesterday with the gear S (just paired and use it out of the box), but it is not working today. I did not do anything exept charging the gear.
i tried unpairing the Gear 1, I thought there could have been some conflict, but did not make any difference.
I tried to uninstall and install the gear manager and pair the Gear S again, same problem. I tried uninstalling the saproviders application using TB, it reinstalls immediately by itself and keep crushing as soon as I connect the gear.
it works only if I freeze saproviders, but of course this limits some functionalities (like controlling music from the phone, for example).
I don't think it has anything to do with the ROM, because it was working yesterday with the same ROM. It is driving me insane.
Any ideas?
thank you very much in advance!

Try to Reset your gear S to factory definitions.

Gear S not reconnecting via bluetooth

I have the Gear S and the Note 4 (both through T-Mobile). I have noticed that when I move out of bluetooth range of my phone, the watch connects remotely so that I can take calls on the watch, but when I come back within bluetooth range of the phone the watch will not automatically reconnect via bluetooth. It remains connected remotely (even when the phone and the watch are sitting right next to one another). Am I doing something wrong, or am I just going to have to reestablish the bluetooth connection manually?

It not gonna reconnect right away. Blue tooth would have to be scanning non stop. Then people will complain about battery dying fast. Also it takes about 10 min for it to search and connect depending on your phone.
BAD ASS NOTE 4 + BAD ASS GEAR S
Thanks a lot. That explanation actually makes a lot of sense.
That's not quite how Bluetooth works, however this fix for this issue is straight forward.
Un install Samsung Gear from your phone. Reset your Gear S, install Samsung Gear, reconnect phone and restore data.
Bluetooth should re connect within seconds after you walk away from your phone.
This broke because of an issue in an update patch to the Samsung Gear software. The patch does not upgrade the software properly, and a re installation is required.
I had the same issue with my Note Edge and Gear S.
Fixed now though.
I had the same issue and re installed yesterday and it connected. What I found to be annoying was I had to completely delete Samsung app store from note or I couldn't install apps from Sammy. It would download then during install process it would fail with error code -112 . It may have something to do with when I fix permission in recovery but it only started doing that after latest update. It's annoying but I guess the temp solution is easy to fix
I have similar problem with bluetooth. When I turn off bluetooth and then turning on the Gear won't to connect. On the phone request pair code for bluetooth appears, but on Gear appears: GT-I9301I is attepting to connect to your Gear. To connect to GT-I9301I, the gear will be reset to its factory settings..When the device is reset, it connect properly and everything work fine until I turn bluetooth off. Then again want to reset the device. My Gear is SM-R750A and phone is GT-I9301I. I try to re-install Gear Manager, reset phone, reset Gear, but still have tis problem.

I have made a thread describing how to fix this....In a nut shell you need to completely uninstall gear mgr and galaxy apps and delete the apps in gear manager under the manage apps then click all which is beside the updates tab. Also uninstall all updates to galaxy apps. This will fix issue. here is the xda thread link. Follow it to a t and you will be good l. Let me know your outcome.

I try this, but didn't work. I think the problem is Bluetooth of the phone, becouse I paired Gear S with two different phone and work fine. Also when I try to pair phone with bluetooth in car it appears same problem - connect only first time. Is there any way to re-install the Bluetooth or to change driver or something like that.
Try deleting data in app manager for anything bluetooth related. Factory reset phone if that doesn't work. If you are on a custom rom reinstall rom and see if that helps, research if a different kernel works better. Good luck
Turn off "Use Remote Connection" in the Gear S app settings on your phone. Problem solved
Actually, ignore my previous response, that did not solve the issue.
What did, however, was unpairing then reparing the Gear S to my phone. No problems since

I had the same issue and used the suggestion above and it didn't work.
I uninstalled on the device, reset gear, then reinstalled on device and reconnected...bluetooth did connect. I walked away came back and the gear didn't reconnect automatically. I had to reconnect from the phone side. THIS SUCKS!!!
Anyone have any other suggestions? i have gear s and NOTE 3 (android 5.0)

Note 5 and Gear S not reconnecting automatically
My New Note 5 has the same problem, not reconnecting after phone and watch are back together. I have to manually flip on phone use in bluetooth settings. This is still after factory resetting phone and watch. Is there any updated fixes

gear s cyanogenmod os unable to connect to galaxy s4
Hello
I have installed cyanogenmod 12.1 in my gear s. Now trying to pair the gear s by installing samsung gear app in mobile (S4) but mobile is unable to find my gear s. then i tried android wearable app. In android wearable it detects the gear s but for long time unable to sync the data. I also found that bluetooth gets disconnected (either from gear s or S4 that unable to understand). Please help how do i pair my S4 with gear s. DO i have to install any software in gear s?
Hello someone managed to solve even me notes 3 and gear s when disconnected with the bluetooth will not re connects

urgent help needed. factory reset didn't work

I have a 7100 sg3. I factory reset because my friend got a hold of my phone while I was asleep and tried deleting bloatware. In the process he seems to have gotten rid of, or made to stop working, the app that keeps calls log, as well using the dialpad on the phone to dial a number causes the phone app to freeze and crash, afterwards it says contacts crashed. After a phone call is completed the phone freezes until a message pops up saying that phone.sec has crashed.I also can't install apps wether from the market or 3rd party apk.
I've checked all the files that are related to these apps and they're all still there. Though obviously not operating properly. Oh another thing is that when I go to the application manager it doesn't show me how m much memory any one app is using. Also can't clear cache data.
Any and all ideas will be appreciated, comments to factory restore will be scoffed at
