I recently got myself an LG l50 Sporty from my local carrier Claro Argentina. (Model number: LG-D213AR ) and i was wondering if i can install a custom rom to it.
I was checking the Cyanogenmod wiki, but it seems that this device is not supported. Furthermore, when i searched this device here in XDA developers, i was not able to find an appropiate section for it.
What do you guys recommend?
i am searching too for a custom rom for this device.
i rooted the mobile, i want install a recovery, but no found anything for this device
I'm sorry for bumping this, but i really need to get away from all the Bloatware my carrier installed on the phone.
Is there a way to get a minimalist rom, or at least a stock rom without everything Claro preinstalled on this?

Hola! estoy en la misma, buscando alguna custom. Aprovecho para hacerte la consulta: tenés idea si este cel trae NFC? Yo lo tengo para Mov1st4r y el firmware está recortadísimo. Buscando en GSMARENA y otros sitios, dicen que el D213 (L50) trae NFC, como también camara de 3.15MP cuando en realidad los D213"AR" traen cámara de 5MP y no muestra opción de NFC en ajustes/redes.
Hay varios parches dando vueltas en este mismo foro, pero la verdad es que sólo logre meter uno a un Galaxy S2 con JB. El parche para KK no me funcionó en el L50, de hecho, antes de empezar a instalarle roms internacionales, quiero asegurarme que traiga el chip NFC porque fuera de eso, el tel funciona bárbaro y no se justifica cocinarle otra ROM.

Yo creo que la pista de que si tiene NFC o no es la tapa de la bateria, he visto algunas imagenes en donde en la tapa hay una especie de lamina que hace contacto con una ranura en el telefono, cerca de la camara.
Yo tengo el LG L50 D213 (Venezuela, Operadora: Digitel), la version de 5MP de camara y tampoco encuentro el NFC por ningun lado, ni siquiera encuentro pistas de esto en los menus ocultos, en mi opinion, este modelo en especifico no tiene NFC.
Hola, queria saber si es verdad que al LG l50 se le puede poner lollipop 5.0, porque ví varias páginas que explican el procedimiento para ponerlo.. Funcionará? Lo probaron?

well you are guys lucky today.for custom roms we will first need a device with unlocked bootloader and other process of custom rom is part where i take from(my english is sooper bad so yeah...)

I bought mine in Singapore, i do live in mexico too and mine is unlock so i can use any simcard anywhere in the world. it came with the Inda OOC. no problems at all. i don't think you can get that telcel CSC.

I need it to keep warranty. If i put a custom rom, but my phone fails (hardwere problems like a non functional button problems readin microsd or sim), i got to have some way to return to the stock software.

Telcel (or Samsung) hasn't released a new ROM. Read any of these threads for carrier-specific firmware updates:

We want it in case that we need guarantee. If i root my phone and change the ROM and some time i need the guarantee i'll have to install the stock (TELCEL) firmware/ROM in my phone.
Lo necesitamos en caso de necesitar la garantía del celular. Si rooteo mi telefono y cambio el firmware/ROM y alguna vez necesito hacer válida la garantía, tendré que instalar de vuelta el firmware/ROM de stock (de TELCEL) en mi celular.

osea que si se puede rootear aunque nuestro s2 no este actualizado... lo unico que hacemos es perder el kernel original!? o como no entiendo... la vdd si si se puede rootear no me importa si pierdo la garantia... o que tenemos que hacer para sakrle el kernel nosotros... como es que lo hacen en los demas paises !?... alguien sabe algo de esto!? o como hacemos para sacarle todo el rom de telcel no se.. exactamente que se tenga que sacar, pero si en los demas paises se puede no entiendo por que en mexico no...?

Yes we can root it and yes, we lose the original kernel and the guarantee.
Si podemos rootearlo y si se pierde el kernel original y la garantía. Lo de los demás países pues me imagino que samsung es el que libera la versión, o que alguien me corrija.

Well i think they maybe can notice that but it's probable that they don't. Thanks to JIG we can to get back the flash counter to 00 and remove the warning triangle.
Bueno pues creo que siempre existe la posibilidad de que ellos se den cuenta de que el telefono está rooteado, pero con la ROM de telcel y gracias al JIG (que hace que el contador de flasheos (en numero de veces que instalas una ROM) vuelva a cero y quita el triangulo de advertencia que sale al principio) puede ser probable que no se den cuenta.
y solo por curiosidad, que le paso a tu telefono para requerir garantía?

Todavia no existe el JB para el p778 (version americana) , lo podrias flasher con la version p760, pero perderias la camara, osea dejaria de funcionar porque la camara del p760 lleva otros drivers al ser de 5mp. No queda otra que esperar. Saludos

Looking at the spec, P768 is closest, as it also features 8MP camera (all other variants has 5MP). But we know that P760 works on P768 (other than the camera won't work). So if you can't wait, go for it. Otherwise you can always play around with P768 firmware.

El p778 es una copia fiel al p768 sin gorila glass. Todo gracias a Cristina. Se pueden usar los mismos tutos que el p768 y los mismos firmware jb como ics. Saludos

Si te vas a la parte de abajo donde seleccionas la pantalla te dice que traen.

El primer p778 que compre me vino fallada la pantalla y en la espera que me den uno nuevo, no le puse el film protector, al mes de uso ya tenia marcas que mi antiguo galaxy s no tuvo ni a al año. En gsmarena no dice tener gorila glass y en mi uso personal puedo testificar lo mismo. Lo de gracias Cristina es porque su política de supuesta industria nacional hace que tengamos el p778 y no el p768 complicando las actualizaciones y demás. Si te fijas justo abajo donde se le saca la batería al celular , encontraras una marca escrita que dice p768 g/f/n ... es todo mentira que es otro modelo fabricado en Argentina. Es el mismo que el p768 con un firmware modificado que ninguna gracia tiene.

Obvio que aca no fabrican nada, los arman nomas como pasa en todo el mundo en el unico lugar donde fabrican cosas es en china.
Pero la culpa es de LG ya que no es solo aca en en todo el mundo tiene diferentes versiones de el mismo telefono (Ojo lo mismo hacen los demás fabricantes). En Uruguay Mexico y USA se vende el mismo modelo que salvo que haya se llama p768 que es el nuestro aca le pusieron p778 pero solo cambia el nombre es el mismo telefono con camara de 8mpx sin NFC.
Del que vos hablas es el p760, que es el que tiene soporte para ciagenmod.
Lo de gsm arena dice que no tiene el p760 el nuestro no es el mismo por ende no sirve como referencia. Ademas is miras el p769 dice que tiene:

La verdad no se si nuestra version lo tiene... la verdad yo por las dudas le puse un film. Pero en la web del LG lo dice...

can´t we sign a petition or something to make the CM10.1 rom devs acknowledge these diferent versions of the L9?? There are very small diferences between these phones. When the Defy+ was released, they made a single rom that could be flashed in either the normal defy or the defy+. If they did it, i can't find any reason why they can't do de same.

Every time I flash a rom I can only connect to the maritime network but when I try to connect AT&T's network it's unavailable. Is there something I can do something that I can flash that will allow for me to connect to the AT&T network on a custom rom?

Hello, I have walked around and around looking for solutions and I've been finding one after the other .... what I mean is that yesterday try to format my phone is a LG Optimus G E970 at & t and happened that when restart came me an error the secure boot : error ... something like that ! then started to search forums how to fix that problem! have knowledge of flash and that was the only option I had. The bad esque one tutorial I found after spending hours looking at that tutorial and I found I had to flasharlo with kdz Claro Brazil and was for e971 E975 model or can not remember the question is ... He was saying that there is worry because after that flash was due to connect and update with the LG Software update and there is cellular and should update the firmware back to the factory bone stock that was to E970 at & t . Up to this point everything worked great , accomplish revive my phone , here comes my problem and what I am afflicted esque after flashing the firmware of Brazil no longer conceded the LG update program , so look and look and found another tutorial where finally achieved it put the firmware stock at & t BUT now I 've realized that I have no signal sim bone network of the network, I think it's because to see damaged or deleted some files from the EFS the problem is that I could never do backup : cry :: cry :: cry :: cry : and do not know how to put it detects the sim card ? ? I'd like urgent expert help or if someone has passed this same problem and have resolved to share their solution and they agradesere loooong ! ! I hope they can understand my concern and help , thank you very much beforehand hands !

Hola, he andado vueltas y vueltas buscando soluciones y he ido encontrando una detras de otra.... a lo que me refiero es que ayer intente formatear mi telefono es un LG Optimus G E970 at&t y ocurrio que cuando se reinicio me salio un error del secure boot: error... algo asi! luego comence a buscar en foros como solucionar ese problema! tengo conocimientos sobre flashear y esa era la unica opcion que tenia. Lo malo esque encontre un solo tutorial despues de pasar horas buscando y en ese tutorial encontre que tenia que flasharlo con un kdz de Claro Brazil y era para el modelo e971 o e975 no recuerdo bien... la cuestion es que El decia que no se preocuparan porque despues de ese flasheo se debia conectar y actualizar con el LG Software Update y ahi se deberia actualizar el celular y volver al firmware stock osea al de fabrica que era el de e970 at&t. Hasta este punto todo funciono excelente, logre revivir mi celular, aqui viene mi problema y por lo que estoy aflijido esque despues de flashear el firmware de Brazil ya no admitia la actualizacion el programa de LG, asi que busque y busque y encontre otro tutorial donde al fin logre ponerle el firmware stock de at&t PERO ahora me he dado cuenta que no tengo señal de la sim osea network de la red, creo que es porque se a de ver dañado o borrado algun archivo de la EFS el problema es que nunca pude hacer backup y no se como hacer para poder ponerle que detecte la sim card??? Quisiera ayuda urgente de expertos o si alguien le a pasado este mismo problema y lo han solucionado que compartan su solucion y les agradesere muuuucho!!!!!! Espero entiendan mi preocupacion y puedan ayudarme, de ante manos muchas gracias! :crying::crying:

Tienes algun link para descargarlo? yo puse un radio para el mio lo encontre aqui mismo en XDA era de un e970 pero no funciono... si me puede poner el link te lo agradeceria mucho!

ahi hay varios que podes usar. A mi me paso igual, mi imei esta intacto pero con el radio de at&t no tenia señal. Le flashee otro radio y ese si me dio señal, pero como te digo perdi la banda 850 que es la que yo usaba. al final lo cambie con el de mi mama(ella tienen un e970 tambien ) porque el operador de ella(claro) usa la banda 1900 y con ese no tienen problemas el cel.
use any of the ones listed there. same thing happened to me, got no signal with AT&T radio. USed one from the thread, lost 850 band, phone only works with 1900 band.

Muchas gracias amigo!!! ya lo descargue he intente instalarlo como si fuera una rom osea por CWM pero la instalacion me aborta. sera que se instala diferente? no importa cual rom o firmware tenga? ahorita posea un firmware JB de at&t e instale la rom de REX siempres es una JB 4.1.2.
PD: por cierto eres de El Salvador?

se instala igual, con el cwm. algunos radios funcionan otros no, segui probando. somos vecinos, yo soy hondureño. flash another one, some work some dont.

Two years ago I bought a Chinese or Korean or I don't know where the mobile was made. The brand is: Android and the model Android Butterfly. The first year it works fine but after this first year it becomes to give failures. The most important failure was that when I try to download something on the playstore It says: Error: insuficient storage ( I have 32gb free) so like everybody I went to Settings and I try to change the default installation location and the problem was that when I change the option the mobile phone dindt do nothing.
I saw in a youtube video a way to change this manually so like the comments was good I decided to try it. It consist on changing /system/etc file. The problem was that the mobile died and it didnt swich. Definetly I decide to install a ROM but the problem was that there is no ROM for my mobile phone (I couldt found it). I found another that is similar (Star x920) and doing some maneuvers it swichs but the principals problems are:
- When I install the ROM and I swich the mobile phone (every first time) the default camera app appears in the screen for more or less 10 seconds and disappear from the mobile phone without a trace. When I try to take a photo I get the error: Can not connect to camera. (I have try with lots of app and the resoult was the same)
- The volumen down key doesnt works.

Hace dos años mas o menos que me compre un móvil por internet, durante un año funciono perfectamente y poco a poco fueron fallando cosas. La mas significativa fue que a la hora de descargar aplicaciones de la play store siempre me decia que el espacio de almacenamiento era insuficiente. Ante este error cualquiera hubiera procedido a cambiar la unidad de almacenamiento por defecto a la sd pero el problema era que en este móvil no realizaba ningún cambio. Desesperado decidí buscar algún vídeo por youtube. Di con uno, consistía en modificar un archivo del /system/etc , en los comentarios parecía que funcionaba, de no haber sido por ello no lo hubiera hecho y la sorpresa fue que no se volvió a encender el teléfono.
Llegados a este punto no me quedo otra que entrar en modo recovery y volver al estado de fabrica, cosa que no surtió efecto. Decidi buscar una ROM compatible, aqui llego el segundo problema, no se si ya lo he mencionado pero el movil en cuestion es un Android Butterfly (marca china, japonesa o que se yo) y no aparecia una ROM para este dispositivo por ningun lado. Encontre un movil muy parecido el STAR x920 y tras un arduo proceso consegui que arrancara.
Ahora con el movil en mis manos, funcionando tengo los siguientes problemas:
- Nada mas instalar la nueva ROM, al iniciar el movil aparecer el icono de la camara por defecto (que tienen todos los dispositivos) y a los 10 segundos desaparece y no hay rastro de ella en todo el dispositvo. A la hora de intentar sacar una foto (ya sea con otra aplicacion descargada) sale el error de: no se puedo conectar a la camara.
- La tecla de volumen hacia abajo no funciona correctamente.
Por favor necesito ayuda, adjunto algunas imagenes sobre el dispositivo que espero que sirvan de ayuda

I don't think the new rom is compatible, and I'm not seeing anything on XDA about your device.

I bought a new z5 compact E5803 from my carrier here in Mexico, the first thing that I did was to install an unbranded firmware, the Customized US one (32.0.A.6.209/R7B) but found that the fingerprint is disabled.
I want to install a UK version, but I only found it over the E5823 device firmwares, so, can I install it on my E5803 or will I brick my phone?

Pues segun el tutorial de link si se puede solo reemplazando los archivos mencionados.
Yo tengo el unbranded de turquia si mal no recuerdo y jala bien lo unico es q aparece "LTE" en vez de "4G" ah y no aparece el icono de "nfc" aunque este activado.
Me salta la duda si realizando el tutorial se podria actualizar via ota jejeje

Hace unas horas hice la actualización de acuerdo al tutorial y funcionó bien, lo único raro es que ya no me sale "TELCEL" arriba; pero todo lo demás funciona sin problema (Aparece 4G también, yo creo que por ser el de UK y sí sale el de NFC).
Y lo de la actualización OTA creo que sí se podría hacer, porque estamos usando el firmware "normal", pero si lo hacemos directo perderíamos el lector de huellas.
Yo también andaba viendo si instalaba la de Turquía, pero prefería la de Estados Unidos (y creo que sí trae unos bug fixes porque siento un poco más fluido el celular).

I followed the procedure a couple of hours ago and it worked fine, the only thing that seems missing is the carrier name on the notification bar, but everything else works as expected (network is shown as 4G, I suppose it's because the ROM is from UK, and NFC is shown as expected).
About the OTA update, I think that we could do it, because we're still on an "original" ROM, but if we do it I guess we'll lose the fingerprint reader.
I thought about installing Turkey ROM, but I preferred USA (I think it has a couple of bug fixes, phone runs a little faster than before, at least to me).

Veo muy pobre el desarrollo para este cel, ya se q no es algo tan facil pero pues a comparacion de otro modelos hay mas desarrollo solo espero que para la siguiente version podamos probar un concept como el z3!!

Yo tengo el E5803, y sí noté que casi no hay desarrollo para este cel, vengo del z1 Compact que si bien no era taaaan desarrollado, sí tenía más vida el foro.
Lo que si es que ya estoy esperando a que salga el ROM de MarshMallow, ojalá no se tarden tanto.
