Flashing a built rom turns everything small. - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I was following a guide on extracting extracting things from your phone and turning them into a flashable zip with dsixda kitchen. Did everything right, took out my system folder and boot.img and built the rom, letting the kitchen create the updater-script(correctly added support for my phone). So I flashed the rom and it was successful but upon rebooting it, everything became small and apps won't open except for system apps like settings, music, message, etc.
Here's what I meant when everything becomes small:

That fixes the small interface but apps are still crashing and my sim can't get any connection.

So I tried building a rom from ArchiKitchen this time instead of dsxidia's kitchen but it still yields the same result. Small interface, non working apps and signal. Is it possible that this has something to do with cwm?

Sony Panorama [DEVS HELP]

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1134048
it's simple
we need someone to point the flashing file to the right direction.
then post it here or in the original thread and we can get the Sony Panorama app, i know alot of us have been missing the panorama feature on the camera app in CM7 and MIUI
I tried flashing with SGS I9000's zip but it did not work.
any one????????
I flashed this a few days ago....worka flawlessly! I'll upload the files in a few minutes.
First flash the zip file in CWM recovery, reboot.
http://db.tt/81c4dpy
Then install the apk as you would install most apk files, use any file manager.
http://db.tt/QoBWTJ4
I'm on CM7 Nightly 31....I'm not the original modifier, just thought it was cool so I kept the files
The UI is much nicer because it's transparent over the camera view. You can choose the direction of the picture, the slower you turn, the better the image quality will be. The pictures were larger, but I resized them.

I can't get this to work tryed twice will try a few other things
Is the app not installing?
Yea fixed permission and still nothing
Did the zip file flash without any hiccups?
the zip flash went smooth
then i got the other apk out of zip and put it on sd card
tried to install normally, did not work
tried putting it in system/apps and then installing, did not work
how did you install the app?
I simply opened it with file manager and it installed....maybe file permissions?
Works great thanks

[Tutorial][MDPI] make your lockscreen look like AOSP ICS

This tutorial is adapted from Arc forums originally by jjdoctor. i just resized PNG for mdpi device. (pls delete this thread if it's against the rules or repeated)
0. make a nandroid backup.
1. open framework-res.apk using winrar / 7zip etc
2. copy and overwrite the png from attached zip file to /res/drawabale-mdpi
3. change the new framework-res.apk file permissions to 0644(like the old file's permissions)
4. replace the old framework-res.apk with the new one (the result will be a boot loop if you replace it with wrong permissions)

is there somebody who can make this as a flashable zip for .431
that's pretty easy but not recommended coz it can affect themes andother framework mods and make some troubles. it's just a simple copy-paste stuff.
i get an error, because i don't have busy box
try this
install via cwm

how do you dare installing mods without nandroid?!!!!!!
i installed cwm with recover x, and custom apps sometimes i flash it and sometimes i do it with root explorer only when i need a app instead of the whole .zip easy as hell dude

[HELP!] Replacing stock dialler/phonebook with AOSP versions

Dev help required!
I am creating my own AOSP theme based on stock 587. I've managed to find an AOSP-like SystemUI and lock screen which works fine. I've replaced the calendar, calculator, camera, messaging. No problems.
But now I'm trying to replace the stock dialler/phonebook. I've taken the following files from JJs Hybrid ROM:
Contacts.apk
ContactsStorage.apk
Phone.apk
TelephonyProvider.apk
And copied them to system/app (changing permissions obv.)
I then removed the following stock files from system/app:
PhoneBook.apk
SemcContactsStorage.apk
SemcPhone.apk
SemcTelephonyProvicer.apk
But it doesn't work. When I reboot I get no cellphone signal, Messaging crashes and there is no Phone or People apps in the app drawer. I've tried wiping Dalvik/Cache, and tried renaming Phone.apk and TelephonyProvider.apk to Semc*.apk. Nothing works and the result is always the same. I even tried the same files from Omega 3.3 but it still doesn't work.
I must be missing something here - perhaps there is a framework file I need?
Can anyone help me? I would be very grateful!
You need to decompile and edit each one of these files to make them work with Sony framework, and probably edit framework itself, much like jjdoctor did for his hybrid ROM.
Also, you get no signal because SemcPhone.apk cannot be replaced, just edited.

thank you
Edit: are there any Google apps which are not included in opengapps? I ask because i've deleted all i could find with Google in filenames, before my performance check. Maybe there are other important parts deleted... I habe no clue
I do not know your system apps but as you requested open gapps maybe not restore all needed apps. You can get system apps from stock rom (update.zip) to install missing app but i guess a full stock flash should be a better solution. A lot flash tools unpack system apps from update.zip if you load stock image for flashing.

A-310F_VoLTE-Wi-Fi-Call_Enabler-CSC_NEE.zip

Hi All. I just want to share something in case you want to try it.
My default csc NEE got settings for VoLTE and Wi-Fi call so I like to use that csc on every rom I flash.
I've been changing it manually for a while but got tired of, so I've made a flashable zip of it
Exception of the csc-related file "mps_code.dat" in /efs/imei/ which I won't flash!
I can't guarantee that it willl work for you since these things depends on your service provider, but you should at least get the voLTE and Wi-Fi call options available in settings.
It have been working on stock rom and advanced 3 with grace UX (didn't work with dream UX). Maybe possible with some edits.
I havn't tried the zip on A5 2017 rom, but I've successfully added it manually before so it should probably work.
I've also added some lines from advanced 3 to .xml files in an attempt to not break already included features but I didn't have time to check everything.
Be Aware That This Zip Will Replace Your Csc Folder And Add/Change Files In Your Rom, So Please Make A Backup Or Add The Files Manually. (Renaming Old Ones With .bak)I will not be held responsible if you can't find network or if your simcard burns up
