Hi guys..i have a very curious question..
I own a Pantech Vega R3 IM-A850K..i got it rooted with CWM recovery on it..also i flashed a custom ROM to it based on 4.4.2 Kitkat..i like the stability of the ROm and its features but i hate the iphone-looking signal icon..i prefer the original signal bars from the stock ROM..i've tried looking using root explorer on possible saved locations but is unlucky..
Does anyone know where can i look for the signal icons? I just want to change it..any answer is appreciated..thanks a lot!

Hi guys, I'm new in this forum.
I would ask some question... I have buy a few days ago a clone of SGS3, maybe the better clone ever made. Equal cover(i use an original cover on the clone), equal battery, microsim, brand (front, back, battery, battery compartment, start and off), equal theme etc... Have a good hardware, I play on this phone with many game like subway surfer or gta vice city without problem... Now I would make a custom rom for this device, for me is a good phone and deserves a good custom rom to fix small problem and improve the performance (on the antutu 2.9 the score are about 11 thousad, antutu 3, about 5 thousand). For start, which are the things to make/modify a rom? Is possible to backup the original rom to modify that without problem? Now I don't remember other question XD
Thank you all and thank you for the answers...
yes, you need the phone rooted
Yes, you need the phone rooted, have a copy of your rom via CWM recovery and check if your device is AOSP based (no idea what that means) there are many threads about how to port your rom into a custom rom (CNM9 and Paranoid Android)

Hi, I have a question regarding custom roms.
Let's say custom rom A is a stable rom but the only bad thing about it is that it does not have 3G or can't connect to WiFi.
And custom rom B is not so stable, however it can use 3G and WiFi.
Is it possible to so called combine this 2 function together. Like bringing the "code" of rom B which can use 3G and WiFi to rom A?
If can how can I do it?
Backup ur 3g and wifi apps scripts etc... from 1st Tom and flash it In another rom .
Hit thanks
How do I know which are the scripts and how to open up and look what's inside the scripts?
Both the custom rom is not made by me.
Sorry I am a noob here.
Or is there any tutorial in this forum?
Hello all....
First off...i appoligize if im posting in the wrong spot...kinda a newbie to this whole android world. I recently installed the cyogen mod 10,1 mod for my Telus Samsung 989d. I managed to get my it working right and my phones incredibly fast. The only issue is that my reception is horrible now. I'm not sure how to fix those so I thought I'd pay for ROM manager and get new ROMs directly from my phone but I can't find any stable ROMs. If anyone knows what I'm doing wrong or can explain how to fix it..please let me know.
Thanks!
not easy to get a Rom
Well as i understand your problem is that the ROM is reducing your signal.
I think you should either search for a good rated ROM and till you find that i think you should restore your Stock Rom
I know that stock isn't that cool but still you will get a good signal
Hit thanks if i helped
Yeah, you need either to change the ROM or restore the stock ROM if you feel that this ROM makes your signal reception worse.

It just sucks that every ROM I try doesn't work. Is there any websites which allow you to search for ROM by model and carrier ?
Hi All,
Recently i am installing several custom roms to my ROW just to find the best one for me.
After installing several ROMS and succesful working of those, i installed the Alice Project 7.0
The main difference i noticed is the WIFI signal strength is much stronger as compared to all other ROMs (even stock version S228)
I was surprised, since some time back i have trying to use some apps to increase wifi strength but it was uselss...
i wanted to ask if its possible to install the wifi driver from alice rom to some other roms... just like we do with modems ???
thanks in advance
