I beg you guys help me
I've bricked my brothers phone while flashing it with odin, im in trouble :crying:
**** I've tried every possible stock rom , from 2.3.6 to 4.1.2 Still the same problem no network (baseband unknown)
**** tried the kies firmware update and initialising using model and S/N , cause kies doesn't recognize my E160S but i face this problem "SHV-E160S does not support initialising " , tried all the possible solution to this too but still the same problem
**** the problem is i didn't back up my EFS , and i've tried flashing modems but no result at all ,
(can't afford to take it to a repair shop , )
help me please ,
all i need is EFS backup (efs.tar) and nv_data.bin
I'll be eternally grateful

The fix is in the post above yours. Flash that file using Odin and you should be golden. Basically you just need to flash the radio image.

Looks like you may have lost your IMEI. Hope you have an EFS backup to restore it.

Their are a number of SGS2 phones you need to know which one you have .

Never seen that before so i suspect its not SGS2 i9100 model .Or you are not flashing correct firmware .

No EFS backup ? Try flashing some stock roms. If that doesn't work, service centre or local mobile repair shop; they have equipment to write the IMEI back to the device.

Try all the firmwares for your country/carrier (not 4.0.4 though, just in case you flash & forget then do a factory reset. If you've flashed a couple of those & your IMEI hasn't returned, it's fairly safe to say it isn't coming back; take it to a local mobile repair shop, many have the equipment to re-write the IMEI to the device fairly cheaply.
Did you manage to sort this? I was asked to look at a friends S2 which was showing no IMEI number, and I managed to sort it....

Ah.... this fone was completely stock, still running Gingerbread 2. whatever!!
So.... all using Odin....
I updated-no joy
I rooted-no joy
I flashed newer custom ROM-no joy
Then, I tried flashing Stock 4.1.2, and away it went!!
IMEI number replaced, fone now working, friend well impressed!!
The files are I9100XWLSW_I9100XXMS2_I9100XEULS5_HOME.tar.md5
I'm not sure how to post a link (perhaps someone could show), I got them from YouTube, but have them if anybody needs them.
But if you Google for that, and you're on UK S2 I9100, you should be fine!!

you have to flash older baseband if the problem occured after upgrading. ie. you were on 4.0 (older) and flashed 4.3 (newer) you have to flash the older baseband. (the modem file of 4.0).
if you dont get this. try
1. flashing the original stock rom
2. flash other modem files.

Hi, as a XDA member, sorry for not seeing your post, I normally dont look in to the general thread. You need to download ODIN , download your firmware here -> http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f77...v-e160k-l-s-android-4-1-2-jelly-bean-1775086/ (not sure if its working, but try )

I have a problem with my freind SIII device. :crying:
the problem is that the phone was suffering of a terrible virus, and he want me to fix it. :good:
i decided to ugrade his 4.1 SIII to android 4.3, and reset. All the things was great. -THE VIRUS WAS DELETED- until i decided to make a phone call, the phone was showing a message that the phone is not rigistered on network.
PLEASE HELP ME.
Go to sammobile and download 4.3 firmware for your country device and flash it using odin this should fix your imei problem
Does the Imei still show a valid number (preferably the original imei), if not you need to recover the efs.
If the imei is still there then the phone maybe recorded stolen and blacklisted.
If you have the btu variant i can provide the 4.3 stock rom and all the software.
