If it was unlocked previously then it doesn't relock, unless a file corrupted and it restored a .bak from before you unlocked.
There is no way to unlock for free anymore.

Not sure...
I am not up to speed on cm7.1, but you can try it and see.
My initial thoughts (Anyone please correct if I am wrong) is that cm7.1 uses cm5 recovery which is unavailable in locked bootloader. So if you need to update you will have to re unlock and then relock again....
An unlocked bootloader is required for the full functionality of cm7.1, but weather it is needed to function on a day to day basis I am unsure..
ps, why did you need to relock your bootloader? My guess is you simunlocked via a different method than setool and it crashed your radio.
There is hope (If you want to beleive) if you follow this thread, but beware..there have been false claims before..
Please check this.

Root does not equal unlocked bootloader. Read the important information in every thread before you attempt to use what they post. Else, you wind up looking like an idiot, like you do now. Now if you want to do nandroid, follow the link in the post above and unlock your bootloader.

Can I unlock my bootloader, after my phone was rooted ? Or should I unroot it, unlock the bootloader and than root it again ?
Rooting your phone, and unlocking bootloader are 2 different things.
Rooting is for your ROM, while unlocking bootloader is for your phone...

[Q] simplist way to unlock bootloader & root

my brother want me to install a new os for him however he is still on stock kernel and os ect 2.3.4 I believe,
what is the simplest, fastest and safes way to unlock the bootloader of his phone,
furthermore can I use flashtool to root his phone and install other kernals ect,
I have tried *#*#7378423#*#* and it says ''yes'' [as his phone is sim unlocked but I know that he has not unlocked the bootloader himself]
thank you for your time and help in advance :good:
The simplist way to unlock bootloader is the official way.. but you will lose warranty and DRM keys.

[Q] Unbricked Xperia Ray - please insert SIM card and restart your phone

Hi guys !
I think i have a problem with my xperia ray I`ve tried to flash a custom rom, but during that process there was an error and bricked my phone. I managed to bring it back to life, flashed stock 4.0.4 rom, but now i get "please insert SIM card and restart your phone"
The funny thing is that before i bricked it the bootloader unlock allowed was YES, and now it switched to NO.
Can someone help me ? Is there anything i can do ?

You must have flashed a carriers specific firmware for ray. Get this generic one and try - http://www.mediafire.com/?pp48w8v9z1adg59
And could you please tell us what the error was and how exactly you "bricked" it? Also, try going into fastboot mode and see if you can still flash a custom kernel.
Thank you for your answer ! bricking it was very easy ... I tried to flash CM 10, wipe - factory reset / cache, and during the new rom install it was an “Status 7″ Error in ClockworkMod Recovery. After this I used s1tool to bring it back to life and flashed a new rom, which I though was the right one (ST18i_4.1.B.0.587_CE_1252-3693). I`ll try to flash the rom you pointed and see what happens.
Nope, that rom didn`t helped, still the same problem.
The phone was bough form vodafone spain, had a vodafone custom rom, no SIM LOCK and bootloader unlock allowed : YES, but after i did that mess, and install a new rom i get bootloader unlock allowed: NO and "please insert SIM card and restart your phone", no mater if there is a SIM CARD inserted or not ...

Why did you use s1tool to "bring back to life"? Maybe you (re)locked your bootloader? What exactly did you with s1tool to bring your phone back to life?
Btw: The status7 error caused by updater-sricpt in cm10 rom zip.
If you searched this Q thread (or cm10 thread) there is a solution for that. (copy the updater-script from CM rom zip edit with notepat++ and delete first lines till mount. Copy back, overwrite old updater-script and the cm10 flash don't shows "status7 error")

now your phone is on locked bootloader and sim locked too?
It says: bootloader unlock allowed: no?
Before you unlocked it was simfree? You wrote, that the phone is voda/Spain you have voda simcard?
Have you tried other ftf? (not for Centar Europe - CE)
Edit:
- Have you cheched your baseband? see post
Yes the phone was both locked on bootloader (bootloader unlocked alowed: NO ) and SIM LOCK ( not sure about this, since i don`t have the Voda/Spain sim anymore, but all the other ones where useless)
Anyway, i took the easy way and used WotanServer to solve my problem. Now the bootloared changed back to "bootloader unlocked alowed: YES" and i can use any SIM card.
I think my mistake was using s1tool after the Status 7 Error in ClockworkMod Recovery. I guess s1tool changed my bootloader status... if i had used just flashtool and do just a stock rom flash... But we learn as long as we live :silly:
Thank you all for you`re answers !

How to relock bootloader?

I impulsively unlocked the boot-loader on my Mate 20 Pro last night because Funky Huawei was selling the codes for $20. Today I can't really think of a good reason I actually need the bootloader unlocked since I have no interest in rooting my phone and there are update methods for manually flashing firmware that don't require an unlocked bootloader. In fact, the tool posted on XDA for updating firmware with an unlocked bootloader apparently requires that you be rooted to use it.
Is there a way to relock the bootloader?
The only mention I could find in these threads was someone who said you need to factory reset the phone and then go back into fast-boot. I don't think the person who wrote that even tried it and that he was just making a generalization.
Does anyone know if there are actual steps that relock the bootloader without bricking the phone--which the e-recovery restore method might do since it will try to install an older firmware than is currently on my phone.
I might just keep it unlocked anyway but I was curious if there was a known relock method that works on this phone.

Use dload method, but pba that will erase everything like your 1st setting of your phone. Phone will be locked again, FRP will still unlocked.

does dload method altso come with recovery_ramdisk fixed? for us that have modified it for root or twrp??
So that the device becomes out of the box like new?
Yes, recovery_ramdisk back to stock with dload method

i can confirm dload method lock back the bootloader.
i had install an alternate fw but was not satisfied cause too much features were not working, i used first erecovery to download official fw but unlock bl was still present. then i try dload and phone was completly reset with bl locked.
dload method isn't working for me. I extracted the UPDATE.APP from the firmware version that is currently installed on my phone (using the update_full_base version), created a dload folder on my external card, copied the UPDATE.APP into that folder and then did the dial code and selected update from memory card. My phone reboots and then I get an error that says that the update failed.
Do I need to use the UPDATE.APP from a specific build to get this to work?
I installed firmware via the Funky Huawei method. It seems to have relocked the bootloader because the warning about the bootloader being unlocked doesn't come up when the phone boots but the data on my phone wasn't erased. Can the bootloader be relocked without erasing all the data on the phone? If so this is the first I've heard of it.

Will we able to reclaim warranty after relock? Anyway the service guys would be able to know that the bootloader was unlocked before?
Soo what is the legit way to relock the bootloader and the FRP?
is the FRP from stock/defualt locked?
