As far as i know call recording has to be supported by the kernel installed on your phone and there's no kernel with call recording support yet. So it doesn't matter what app you try, it won't work.
I'm not completely sure about this, so please correct me if i'm wrong!
I tested 4 apps from google play and it doesn't work on 4.1.
