@dr.ketan do you know if there's an app or better a mod to enable voice "Lte-Only"? In Kitkat I used Lte-only mode of Xposed but no more working on Lollipop.

No idea but will look to it if something can do

Does this mod enables LTE capability in devices like the N910H?

Im sure 4G shows up if you have the right plan. On my 3G vodafone plan, only shows uo to 3G, but when I change over to Telecom 4G plan, changes to 4G.

Nope. It seems some bug as many users have reported having 4G SIM and service still unable to show this option. btw After using this tool I can see this option even here there is no 4G service in my area.

Working perfect on 910G. Doc is it possible that the phone only works on LTE mode as i have a LTE connection also
because when i put it in LTE mode it shows 4G soemtimes 3G and sometimes 2G

I dont think thats a bug.
You have 4g sim, but no 4g coverage/plan, hence no option for 4g.

In that case when you are in area where no 4g coverage then you will have no Network at all so better to keep Auto. Device prefer 4G connection so it will Auto turn 4G as soon better 4G Network available. Sometime if you are in area where poor 4G reception then also it change Network mode.

Some Users Misunderstanding, Here's How It Works
At first, I can confirm that this is a widespread issue with Samsung Galaxy S5, Note 3 and Note 4. I've seen so many people complaining about missing LTE in-spite of having an LTE variant. As far as N910H Note 4 is concerned, I don't think so that it is an LTE Note 4, it's only 3G. And the application won't do any magic to activate LTE on a non-LTE device. This application is a great deal for the users worrying about the hidden/missing LTE on their device. Keep up the good work Sir!

Please Help
Hey ya'll, im in serious need of help to enable LTE on my note 4.
i have a SM-N910T and so far its only giving me H+ and im running on the latest 4.4.4
i've read everything ya'll have been talking about in the forum and i tried most of it, but its not working. if ya'll can please help me, i wouldgreatly appreciate it.
many thanks in advance.

worked like a charm on my N910C with Android 4.4.4 (ANK5)
TNX ... Keep up the great work

Verizon Galaxy Note 2 Locked Sim Card - And for what it is worth

It is not new that Verizon Galaxy Note 2 sim card is locked.
And today I gave it a try anyway... It is sort of locked, but not completely...
Basically I plugged into a T-Mobile prepay card I can MAKE PHONE CALL instantly without any issue. But See no data connection, obviously.
The warning message "non-verizon sim card detected" is there but it is not blocking anything .
SO it is kind of locked in data , but not voice. If it means to someone still. It certainly means a lot to me. Because previously when I have ATT HTC-ONE X, it is locked completely meaning you can't bypass the unlock simcard screen to use the phone.
SO now At least I know I can use it in other countries for voice, if I have a local sim card, which is good for me most of the time.
Of course if you can't live with data in other country's 3G/4G this means nothing to you. Please ignore. Otherwise, for some travelers, this may help to clarify.

I think I read somewhere you have to change APN settings to get your data up. You'll probably only pull edge though.

For some place (like NYC), if you can unlock it, TMobile is also having 4G. it all depends on where TMobile activated its AWS 1700 band.
Good to know we can at least make voice calls. Leaving the SIM unlocked is one of the few nice things Verizon has done recently.
You need to update the APN settings to get data coverage for non-Verizon SIM cards. Calls and SMS doesn't require this.
So that means if I change the apn my tmobile sim can work immediately? Or Verizon blocked the ability to edit apn?

Unfortunately no. Was hoping it would be different with a non-Verizon SIM. Maybe it'll let you do it when you change the network mode.

Hope it does. Perhaps it's a different dialer code.
It is already unlocked. If it were locked, you couldn't put the SIM in and make calls. The only thing we need to find to have it fully working is how to add/edit the APN info so that you could get data service.

I dont have a note to try this with but I have been sucessful with my GS3 on Jelly bean. Purchase Titanium backup pro, and Download HiApn or APN manager pro. You'll first have to set your APN managing app as a system app before it will be able to edit the APN in Jelly bean. Of course this will require root. My carrier of choice for my GS3 happens to be on H2O, who has their own configurator app, and it claims to not work on Android 4.0+ but I was able to set it as a system app as well and was able to get functioning data. Check out the GS3 forums for further assistance. Hope this helps. Also, seems like I remember reading somewhere in the GS3 forums as well that they had the Non Verizon SIM notification as well. It wasn't locked.

The phone is already fully SIM unlocked. There's just not a way to change the APN in the stock settings in order to get data working. This can be done with root access.
The non-Verizon SIM message is likely there to notify you that you aren't pay excess fees for international coverage like you would if you were using VZW's international plan.

Unlimited data on AT&T

I'm trying to find up-to-date information on the throttling for the users who still have unlimited data. I recently was able to get a hold of an unlimited line, that is what I'm using on the One. Im almost certain that if they throttle you, that you will not be on either LTE or 4G, probably more like EDGE

During the time I had my iPhone 5 I had a month in which I was one winter vacation for 2 weeks and during that time consumed more than 10 gigabytes of data. I never noticed slower speeds after passing 5 gigs. I have on many billing cycles passed 5 gigs and never noticed any reduced speeds.

It has been hit or miss with mine, after doing the steps I am unthrottled most of the time. Occasionally the speeds are throttled again and I somehow get it working again by toggling gsm, do a speedtest then switch back to lte mode
Have to do this any time the phone reboots or network mode is changed

Now the files I deleted(I madee a zip and saved them in another folder), do I need to replace these files at the end of the month, or will I have to redo this once again after my month starts?

What build.prop edits do you perform? I don't see anything in that regard.

D803 KitKat Baseband is Broken in Stock ROMs, 4G DOES NOT EQUAL LTE

Hi all,
This is a thread for d803 owners to discuss how we're going to get LTE supported in KitKat.
Right now, if you flash the popular KK_Baseband floating around, you'll get "4G" after either deleting lteconfigs.apk, or tweaking your build.prop (depending on your ROM). So don't expect "4G" right off the bat, however, even after doing all necessary tweaks, you'll likely find what I found:
"4G" is not 4G, it's HSPA+ in desguise. You can tell by running speed tests (and also noting that the Network always reverts to GSM/WCDMA), they are all within HSPA+ speeds. Reverting back to JB, and running the same speed tests in the same areas results in MUCH faster speeds as it's true LTE. Meaning: 4G does not equal LTE.
Now, I know what you're thinking, "this guys a newb and didn't do the tweaks needed". No, that's not the case, I did all the tweaks, I tried this on CloudyFlex, CloudyStock and even the Rogers KK ROM floating around, all were stuck on GSM/WCDMA with "4G", which is really HSPA+.
So this being said, there appears to be no way to run a custom stock ROM, with LTE, I hope I'm wrong.
Cheers
Make sure you hve the right lte apn created and selected in apn settings , next forget about the icon , most roms are gonna say 4g , but check in networks settings if it says lte if it does your getting lte

On my d802 442 the lte option is now gone, and in hidden menu it says not supported. The only available is gsm and wcdma
Any ideas?

4g is LTE in configs that use US ROM base because they use that icon for the ROM instead of LTE.. Hspa has the H icon but if you check the network status screen it will show hspap... I have LTE working perfectly on my bell d803 with cloudypro2

You know 4g means lte for international Rom, only north America use 4g as hspa. Whenever you flash a custom Rom, they are mostly base on international Rom. So the 4g is actually mean lte. You can also check the mobile network type in setting as what deadgiveaway show.

Try to change target country in your build prop if you are running a custom room... Once I set mine to CA, LTE has been working fantastic
Yea but thats just for icon ...

Yep, if you dont have any LTE signal phone just say "no services" etc. (i just tried)
Small problem with this. Unless having volte, you will lose telephony. And even with volte, the providers, at least in States are in process of allowing their networks to talk to each other. So basically if you enable this setting, expect to talk only to peeps on your own network, with people that own volte capable phone. All others excluded.

Sometimes when you have a weak LTE signal and the phone ping pong between LTE/WCDMA.
You may want to keep the phone on LTE despite of weak signal. That way you have better data speed but battery juice will become exhausted quicker.

Thanks So much!!! This is working perfect on my new Galaxy note edge on 4.4.4
Is there a way too have 4g/wcdma but not gsm?
it works perfectly but one thing is missing...if you get a call then it's lost you can't answer....or you can't make calls yourself....should be able to switch to normal signal once you make or get a call
A good thing would be having that as a widget.
