FTP issue for chrome and lg g3 stock internet app - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi !! I have a problem for ftp in chrome. Actually I don't have any problems I can download my phone but if the file is as a text it can't download it views in chrome but it can't install. On the other hand, stock internet app can't access for ftp. So stock app is unusable.
I am using this app i can acces all files from the computer to transfer but from the phone it doesn't.
Thanks for your advice.
And I wondered that if it is possible to have root acces from ftp via this app, how can I do that? (it doesn't important for me. Just want to know)

[Q] Browser Downloading

I'm running ARHD 21.0 on my One and this problem has been happening for quite a few versions but isn't that big of a deal that I needed it solved right away, now it's just annoying.
I cannot download any files from either chrome or the stock browser. From chrome the download won't even start, if I use the stock browser it will start but as soon as it starts up it will say "Download Unsuccessful" and that's it. This happens for pictures, videos, Rom files (which i used to download straight to the phone to avoid using my laptop to transferring the file). Now if i go onto the facebook app i can save those pictures.
I've wiped the cache and data from both browsers and the downloads app but those didn't solve anything. I have done multiple wipes while upgrading ROMs.
Anyone else have this problem, and possibly know a solution?
Thanks in advance.

Downloading issues

Last night my phone suddenly stopped being able to download files via browser and dropbox app. I wiped it clean using cwm because i forgot how to unroot my phone and re-root it. After a while I remembered and attempted to do the steps of unrooting and rerooting, but I then I found out the usb port in my phone had faulty pins and couldn't be recognized on my PC. I fiddled with the tongue in that usb port attempting to hope it will fix but it didn't, so I was stuck with a phone that was looping the boot image.
After I rebooted my phone about 5 times it randomly got past the boot image and my phone started up as if it were new, although it was still rooted and my old apps were reinstalling itself. I tried to install some apk files I placed in my dropbox using the dropbox app and get the error "storage full or unavailable" then I tried using dropbox.com using the browser and for some reason I was able to download the files that way.
So now I'm left with only being able to download using my browser and the app store. My swiftkey app can't work properly because it's stuck at the configuring part where it has to download a language pack and it keeps failing to download, which makes me think anything outside browser and app store can't be downloaded. Anyone have any idea what's going on?
tl;dr - my phone used to be able to download anything it wants via updates, browser, dropbox app, but last night something happened and it wouldnt let me download from anywhere other than the app store. after some fiddling, my phone was able to download files via browser (dropbox in browser works but not the app), but still left with not being able to download things like language packs for my swiftkey.
Some have successfully replaced the usb port. It's fairly easy as it is connected via a ribbon cable. I believe you have to be sure and get the right replacement part.
If you can get a working usb port, then use Odin3 to flash back to stock.
Alternatively, you could send it to a repair shop. Mobile Tech Videos is generally trusted by folks in this forum.

No internet connection with specific apps

Hello xda-Developers, got a weird bug incoming (once again):
I am on NeatROM 5.9 (4.1.2 JellyBean) with Apolo Regular Kernel and just wanted to download AdFree via Dolphin Browser, but no matter what website I want to visit; it always tells me that I have got a connection error. After I downloaded AdFree via my PC and wanted to check the Host files, it got stuck there as it wouldn't do anything in the loading screen. Other apps like AdAway got the same error (not wanting to download host files), but apps like Google Play, Facebook, WhatsApp or others work fine. This problems no matter if I am connected with Wi-Fi or with Mobile Data.
My question is: How can I get back my internet connection?
EDIT: Found the problem, DroidWall was blocking these apps from connecting. Just activated then deactivated the firewall and everything worked out

How restore In-App Data (bookmarks) from stock browser?

Good day XDA-Dev´s,
I have posted my request here, please understand. Couldn't find a thread about my smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy Trend 2 Lite SM-G318H.
Stock-Browser: Samsung Internet 2.0.34.L57-0_101300_2276082
Unrooted.
I ask for help with the following problem:
I accidentally deleted my in-app data from my Android stock browser (Samsung browser). Especially, my bookmarks were also on the app data.
I then took the following steps to solve the problem, to restore the bookmarks:
1. I deleted all the data on the device memory as well as from the SD card and copied my saved data onto it again, because I was under the assumption that the bookmarks from the browser would then be there again.
2. Then I used a tool to completely save the stock browser as an .apk installation file and reinstalled the stock browser, but unfortunately without success.
So my question in conclusion, is it possible to program an or is there a app that will restore my in-app data files or my bookmarks from the stock browser, similar to the desktop PC system restore (you should know).
Would be very nice to help.
Greetings.

The stock Samsung Internet app already had a build in feature for sychronizing this data to Samsung cloud.
Open the settings if the stock browser and enable the option to sychronizing data with Samsung cloud. You just have to log in with your Samsung account.
Alternatively you can open your bookmarks/favorites in the stock browser and select "share". Then you also have done options to share selected bookmarks.
