What is AICP?
AICP is known by someone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since than evolved as a mature rom with the BEST community you can find!!!
Rom has always been AOKP based until Lollipop.
Unfortunately AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year so we are now CM based when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or CM team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't CM supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!
CM12 theme engine is included.

KERNEL:
Kernel in this rom follows CM source.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash over OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use CWM and OTA app, but only to download zip file and flash it manually from within recovery. Zip gets saved under AICP_ota folder.

What's Broken:
Don't have the device so don't know exactly
ROMS
ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy Lollipop. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
How to flash:
Don't do it if you don't know it
Full wipe, flash rom, flash gapps, boot
Be patient while it boots
ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes

Just as an idea: add to the op to first flash a current CM12 firmware or the install/update will fail; maybe also mention if Superuser or SuperSU is default?

Installs with multirom just fine, however I couldn't get it to boot with the stock kernel and had to flash a custom kernel for it to boot (ak kernel)

Try this. Go to developer options and check use NU player instead of awesome player. If it's checked already try unchecking and playing the videos.

Already did that, also tried disabling av offload with no success. No videos stream in full screen and most don't even stream normally.

Keep up the great work. I'm actually pleased to see that the legacy devices are getting the stable releases first. They need it the most, after all, being a couple years old.
