Enabling Developer Mode is fairly easy.
Do the following steps:
Enter Settings
Go To 'About Phone'
Scroll down to Build Number (Last Item)
Click on it 7 times
You Now have Developer Options
In Developer Mode you can do the usual including:
USB Debugging
Mock Locations
Input settings (Touch Test)
Drawing Settings (Screen Test stuff)
Hardware Accelerated Rendering
Monitoring
App Functions

Hi there.
First a little introduction.
I'm completely new to this scene. My knowledge in android is in building simple apps in java. I have only beginner knowledge in c++
Yet I'm interested in doing custom rom for one of the vonino tablets. I don't know what model exactly as of this moment because I'm still waiting for tablet to arrive.
I'd like to change or do the following stuff:
Image should be preinstalled with following apps:
Lockiosk launcher or other kiosk mode (autostart), sygic navigation
I would like to change quick settings like this:
- Remove following options: Airplane mode switch, Wi-Fi switch, bluetooth switch, auto rotate button, timeout button, data connection button, data usage button
- Add quick settings configuration
I'd like to adjust following configuration settings
Connection:
wifi-on,
bluetooth - on
Display:
daydream - off
sleep - 1minute of inactivity
language and input:
spell checker - off
android keyboard AOSP
auto-capitalization - off
auto correction - off
google voice typing -off
..
Security:
screen lock - none
make passwords visible - off
unknown sources - on
verify apps - on
apps:
google search - disable
date & time:
automatic time zone - off
select timezone - gmt + 2
use 24-hour format - on
chose date format 1.12.2013
developer options
usb debugging - on
Basically these are just settings that are tweaked and or masked. So no new functionalities just rom with limits or personal preferences...
How many hours estimated would I need to invest in this to make this rom functional with my desires?
Or better yet, how many hours would experienced cook need for this kind of rom to be stable
I made developer options visible by press the build number in the settings a few times. After when i go into developer options settings, I think i it was already enable and saw some options enabled like the NuPlayer or I could be wrong. Anyways I had to enable USB debugging temporary and later disabled the developer options. Just wondering if any of those options were enabled before i turn developer options completely off. Thanks in advanced
Nah. The player is always enabled, just gives you the option to revert to the old player. Otherwise you are safe disabling it.

Hello,
I recently discovered that some options deselect/uncheck themselves randomly in my stock non updated rooted Honor 7.
The options that are problemantic are:
USB debugging from developer options.
Some apps selected in accessibility options.
Some apps selected in notification handlers.
Does somebody have the same problem?
I tried to create a tasker+SecureSettings profiles to reactivate problematic options "every time" the screen is turned on, but is very energy consuming and not ideal. Besides, many times, the options get unchecked/deactivated anyway (Tasker or SecureSettings fail to apply the change, although the trigger conditions are met.
Has somebody found proper/better solution?
Thanks in advance,
Xavi
i too have same problem,But not able to solve it!!!!(PLK-UL00)
To stop accessibility turning off the app has to be protected. This has to be done through the phone manager app.I had the problem of it turning off in Greenify, now that the app is protected it works fine.
I'm using bank app called Pivo and I cannot use newest version of it because developer menu is enabled by default. Is there any way to disable it permanently. Pivo app thinks developer options are enabled even if I turn it off from developer menu. Thanks!
I very confused about the launch settings options in my Mate 10 Pro under settings -> battery. I understand what it does, but what I dont understand is if this is connected to the native oreo Android battery optimizations or not? If I turn all of the apps in Launch to manual, is the Android managing optimizations still or is everything turned off?
The Launch settings is way to aggressive and makes my phone skip notifications and important stuff is not happening.
After you set your launch control to manual, you have to "exempt from battery optimization" (no idea where in the settings is buried, I just type "exempt" into the search bar in the settings menu)
