Hi guys:
I used to flash ROMs on my mobile (ace s5830i) with CWM and try new ROMs, yesterday I flashed a ROM which I tried it several times before , the IMEI has gone
I tried to flash stock Firmware with Odin but still no IMEI
Unfortunately, I lost efi backup
I tried Galaxy Toolbox 33 times but still no IMEI
What should I do???
Please HELP !!!
p.s I have IMEI no. which is behind the battery
@ayobi93, CSC/PDA/MODEM of the stock firmware you are coming from ? your stock Android version/ Stock Kernel version ,please describe in details name of the Rom this incident happened upon your flashing and whole process such as flashing custom kernel on top of your new custom Rom and any insignificant bits of information, which might help shed some light on your unsuccessful IMEI recovery after reverting back . ( You did state you are no longer have your backup file ,, shame though , I addressed most of the possible solution here @ post 1125 based on this file .

I flashed stock rom with odin 1.84 with pit (cooperve_0623.pit)
Boot : XXLB1, CSC : OXXLA2, PDA : XXLA4, Modem : XXLA2
Stock version : XXLA2
The ROM that causes this problem: Touchwiz RES v9.5 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2358404
@ayobi93, XXLA2 stock firmware is pretty much old, but it is quite compatible with TWR v9.5 according to OP of Rom. However loss of IMEI number reported after flashing this /Custom Rom based on stocked kernel/ occasionally though. You can read some of the customer's testimony based on this typical issue and my response/advise in this matter @ post 1540-1541.
Assumptions :
- Typing the "*#06#" into your dialer, shows noting >> it was wiped out
- "bml15.img.SAVE" or "EFSpart.img.SAVE" are non-existence
- You are staying on your stock kernel
Possible solutions : ( may or may not work ,, we are trying to revive your IMEI )
1. use part of my instructions for CM11 , which starts with this line @ post 297 "- We need wipe flash-able zip package for clean installation....." for wipe flash able procedures .
After reverting back dial the code , if problem persisted >>
Some modification on Op's original installation process :
CWM > Clear/Wipe Data ; cache ; Advanced > Clear/Wipe Dalvik cache
Mount and storage> Format /data ; /System ; /Cache ; /SD-ext ( only it is shown due to re-partitioning of sd card )
Mount /data ; /System ; /Cache ; /SD-ext (again if existed ) >> when your partition is Mounted properly , unmounted will be shown there.
- Main menu > Flash your Rom
- Reboot
Now check again for your IMEI ; can't see your 15 digits ; continue our test then:
We are going to flash some custom kernel and it's modules on top of V 9.5. I would suggest Rafael.Baugis as our primary target , then ThunderKernel 2.2 ,if all our efforts were in vain.
Slight adjustment on Rafael instructions:
How to install Kernel with E3 Recovery (Stock):
-shutdown the phone
-hold the keys Vol-Up + Home + Power per 6 seconds
-select the option "apply update from sdcard"
-select the file "201303051129-E3-boot.img.zip" from root of your SD card
-wait the end of process and reboot
-hold the keys Vol-Up + Home + Power per 6 seconds
-select the option "apply update from sdcard"
-select the file "201303051129-modules.zip" from root of your SD card
- Reboot ( check your about phone in settings for new kernels )

Thnx for answering me
I get confused a little bit (because of those many links) but I did what I get from them like the cleaning idea
but still no IMEI
Maybe I'm a stupid, but I REALY REALY need a HELP
Please be patient with me
@ayobi93, There is no need to re-quote mate, only mentioning my username anywhere @ XDA send me a notification through my mail box. As for your problem , we are trying to use/make flash able zip package ( CSC/MODEM/PDA ) and flash it over Odin to get clean start point . Process is varied from one case to another. Normally you get Odin 3 ( pit file reside inside link's attachment from part of CM11 instructions + Boot loader ) and then you make your own flash able by splifus2 app for your "i" variant device or simply get already made zip files from sources that was mentioned . you can make your own Based on your original non flash able xxx.tar.md5 file could be found inside sammobile.com database ( instruction links , same place) . then you put your CSC/PDA/MODEM parts into their respective places , Re-partition option not selected at this time , Flash > reboot to stock e3 recovery of your device , provided you are familiar with combo key to get to recovery and Download mode of s5830 i) >> Wipe/reset data and you are done.
If you did encounter any symptoms i did describe inside CM11 instructions link , only then you add your pit file inside Odin3 and marked re-partition; boot loader in it's place and flash . After getting to our clean start point , check for IMEi , and then rest of the story till we get some result .
Please speak your mind openly , if any part is not clear. I do provide extra explanation .
@ehsanotaku , sorry but it's first time I have posted in XDA
I did those steps:
1-I flashed stock ROM (CSC/MODEM/PDA) with odin3.09 without bootloader then I did wipe data/factory reset (from e3)
2-I Formated and mounted data & System & Cache then wiped Dalvik cache (but it fails "E:unknown volume for path [/sd-ext] & cant't remove....:No such file or directory"
3-I flashed stock ROM !!! (CM11.zip can't be flashed with odin; by the way CM11 always breaks my phone) with pit (repartition checked) & bootloader then I did wipe data/factory reset
4- Still no IMEI
I know there are some big mistakes but that is what I get it
p.s I have some other stock PDAs (XXLD3,JPLB1,XXLK3) Should I try them?? If yes:I should flash PDA alone or with CSC & Modem?
@ayobi93, Sometimes I get carried away, so my explanations become misleading/full of vague technical terms . I meant part of the CM11 instructions not installing CM11 on you device literally. Those part of CM11 instruction was describing how to create your own flash able package from non stock flash able from sammobile database; this page ; <Registration is required for download> you can look into this instruction; this page >post9< to make your own ,based on what you did download from database.
It really doesn't matter which package you choose from either of the sources, based on regional preferences. If you don't want to make your CSC/PDA/MODEM. just pick one please.
Source1 ; Source2; Source3;
Please use Odin/pit file and boot loader attached into this post.
After connecting to your PC via your USB cable , put CSC/PDA/MODEM into their corresponding places ; Put pit file and boot loader into place as well; Re-partition ticked >> Flash ( rebooting to e3 stock recovery and wipe/reset is optional , since these packages are made for cleaning your /data upon flashing )
Know get into your Android OS and check your IMEI number . I will explain the rest of the actions later ,,,
Hope I did help you
Instructions:
1. Download and install the program "HexWorkshop Hex Editor v6.7" on PC (Googling).
2. Download the app "Galaxy Toolbox" of Google Play Store.
- Install the application on Android and open, accept, and select "Back up", and exit.
- See his backup file in / sdcard/SGYunlock/bml15.img.SAVE
- Move the file to your PC (Make a backup of his again, this is just in case)
- Open the hex editor program that was already installed on the PC.
- Open file backup his
- Make sure the filter character remains on the "Legacy ASCII"
- Write: 0x80000 in the blank box (Go to)
- Click ENTER
- Press the IMEI number which is 15 Digits. ( you can get IMEI number from your phone box or just remove the battery )
- SAVE, then close the program.
- Move the file "bml15.img.SAVE" to /sdcard/SGYunlock/HERE.
- Open the "Galaxy Toolbox" it, agree, and RESTORE, and exit.
- Reboot, and enjoy..
@Trickster22, Read our discussion , before copy/paste old instruction here kindly . Links already provided and FYI the path and appointed file is not the one you kindly copy/paste without reading his statement. He lost his EFS backup file, so downloading tool i did mention probably can not backup IMEI that not existed anymore. However we will try this step, after reverting back to newer stock firmware . ( whenever he is good and ready )
@ehsanotaku I formated system, cache and data then I flashed (PDA,modem & CSC ) from Source2 and bootloader & pit from attached files using odin3.07 (from another site because odin from attached files is unworking!)
I dialed *#06# but still no IMEI
I reflashed my phone using surce1 instead of source2 (without formating) but still no IMEI
p.s I rememberd that the phone has broken because of cm11 not TWR
@ayobi93, the instruction i did suggest on post 4, was for re-installing TWR v9.5 , so now you do remember CM11, nightly build caused the loss of IMEI ?
What version of Temp-CWM you are using ? is it cooperVe compatible ? How did you proceed with CM11 installation ( double check my instruction method on post#297 , what part you did it differently ? )
Ok now let's run an experiment based on galaxy toolbox I did instruct on post 1>>
Download it from play store , go into Device info ( give me a screenshot ) > try to back up EFS partition with it ( regardless of any massage you receive, go to /sdcard/GalaxyToolbox/"EFSpart.img.SAVE") , and see if the highlighted file was created .
P.s: what is your preference region/Country ?
Yeah, i do copy/paste the instructions because dnt want it to be more complicated and also i edited some things. I have tried these instructions as well as i also faced same problem earlier. And also galaxy toolbox would make a backup of the imei in a file..doesnt matter imei is vanished or not. Then that file must be editted using hex editor from a pc.

This is not for granted ;may or may not work as I explained in post 1 ; due to some technical reasons i would rather not engage at the moment..
Do please let me help this fellow. ( you can always jump in , if my efforts were failures though with all do respect mate).
@ehsanotaku I use CWM v5.0.2.6, I don't know wethere is it cooperVe compatible or not
I did't read your instruction because I had download CM11 from another site....I just flashed it with CWM (install zip from sd)
I use English US language.
the file /sdcard/GalaxyToolbox/"EFSpart.img.SAVE" has created (1 MB)
@ayobi93, Yes Correct CWM recovery is playing a critical role in our operation. For instance you can partially soft break your device with CWM-cooper (s5830) based recovery or using incompatible MTD-CWM-CooperVe for CM11 will generate some errors as i explains in this topic to some other fellow. You can get your legitimate Temporary CWM from the following sources : 1 ; 2 ; 3 and you can get your MTD compatible from CM11 instructions i did provide .
Now lets back to your problems at hands >> Your app generated one single empty log file without your IMEI registered inside ( corresponding line value is 0 , so we replace it with your IMEI number as "Hitesh2626" the guy behind this trick explained it ).
Write down your 15 digits number ( could be found beneath your battery ) ; copy this file into your PC; download HexWorkshop Hex Editor i did request @ post#119 ; follow the rest of instruction inside post 119 <my comment> you can also watch the video <source>, if any part of replacement was confusing for you , picture of the empty line also attached to the post .
@ehsanotaku Finalyyyyyy it works Thank you very much:good:
@Trickster22, Thank you mate for your concerns. It appears to be a trivial issue . @ayobi93,, Next step was upgrading your Base band ( U.S.A or GB, didn't get it clearly where did you get your phone though ) . At least one problem being resolved today ,, I am making progress in helping stuff i guess lol
@ehsanotaku I don't know my mobile is from where,I need English language with Arabic support, What is the next step?
After that which ROM you recommend?? I need light ROM (jellybean or higher) plz
@ayobi93, For right to left support for your preference language besides English support i would suggest Touchwiz-Resurrected ROM V2 . ( also quite compatible with your stock firmware).
For an extreme bare bone Rom with minimum services and scripts installed you may try Slim CM7 #4 . However i would recommend you study my comments and some fellow for correct installation procedures, before flashing though.

0. Do I need unlocked bootloader? YES
1. I'm going to post my question without doing a search.
Fine, but you'll just get made fun of, or infracted by one of the mods who use this mod. Searching is the first rule of XDA.
1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting, whether you have a question or something new to share, it's very likely someone already asked that question or shared that news.

2. People have sometimes a bad attitude in this thread, or they ignored my question.
You broke rule #1, didn't you?
3. Why Youtube FC all the time?
Mabye it’s the latest youtube app problem. Try [APP] Youtube Apk For Ics/Jelly Bean [Version 3.5.5].
4. I didn’t hear music, ringtone, notification, etc. Why?
The steps for custom tones are:
create
sdcard\alarms
sdcard\notifications
sdcard\ringtones
At first time after the rom install if you choose rintone the ringtone is mute. Select one of the ringtones and press vol+ or vol-. The notification ringtone is mute too. Select one of the notification tone then press vol+ or vol-. The same relates to the alarm. I have only one alarm time, and my phone wakes me up every time.
In apollo if you play music at the first time, the sound is mute too. press vol+ or vol-..
5. I lost my custom ringtone/alarm/notification sound, why?
Are your custom sound int he right folder? See 4.
6. I don’t want a tablet look.
If you use pac 4.1.2 it doesnt have paranoidpreferences.apk (Search for any 4.1.2 PA rom, and extract paranoidpreferences.apk from it.)
The new 4.2.2 PAC has it, so you don't need to search for it.
Just go in setting/paranoid setting/apps select
Settings (com.android.settings) and change size to 240, layout 360px save, and hit ok.
select System UI (com.android.systemiu) and change to 240/360 px.
(setting and system ui take effect after you restart the phone)
If gmail/calendar and other apps are in hybrid mod, then change it to 240/360px too.
Or try this flashable zip: see original thread post 1519 don't forget to thank pluGinSz
7. Which gapps do i need? Can i use inverted gapps too?.
Yes.
Be sure you use the proper gapps.
for 4.1.2 roms you need "gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip"
for 4.2.2 roms you need "gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip"
Search xda for inverted gapps.
you can save about 30mb in the system partition by flashing the "Bexton" script (download here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?t=1831004) or you can modify justunbean's zip to remove the offending files...Bexton was good enough to list the files in his OP.

9. I'm on wrong baseband where can i find bb77, and how to upgare it?
I would like to update baseband from .70/.72. to .77,is necessary after update do something? Or is recommend to do full wipe (or maybe reflash ROM)?
The basebands are in sirkay's kernel thread. Thans to him!
Download from dropbox link the "ST18i_8x55A-AAABQOAZM-203028G-77_baseband.ftf" Copy it to [C:/]Flashtool/firmwares folder. In flashtool select Flashmode, select de baseban ftf file. (Turn off the phone, press volume down when plug in the usb) Flash it without fota, unchecked all wipe and checked no final verification. It's only the baseband, so it affect only for network signal. After baseband flashing just start your phone.
you can also use BB85, download link Thanks Langes
I tried the bb85 and found bb77 is the best, but you can give a try too
10. Where is the kernel?
The kernel (boot.img) is inside the zip. Don't unzip it, just copy the "boot.img" to the folder, where you can find it.
If you use another kernel, be sure you downloaded kernel for right jb version.
11. Can i use the rom with other kernel?
Yes you can. Some devs made a kernel for JB. But remember, that if you use other kernel, you must probably falsh his own wifi modules. Read and search in kernel thread for possible bugs.
sirkay's xKernel: xKernel JB v1.0.2 If you use it, don't forget to thanks him.
Lupus kernel by wedgess: LuPuS-_-JB.img If you use it, don't forget to thanks him.
FlyKernel by thomas1991_12: Flykernel JellyBean. Working from P.A.C. v16 and up, older (e.g. v15) not supported If you use it, don't forget to thanks him.
12. I've flashed [MOD][ICS]Camera Mod v.4.4 Cybershot Experience /
[Driver GPU Libs] New JB Adreno Driver For ICS Increase Performance
As in the thread name is, both is for IceCreamSandwich. Please read the threads! If you found it's for ICS, so it's "maybe?" not compatible with JB rom. If you found for ICS/JB roms, then you can test it for your own risk.
13 . Play store fc?

-wipe cache
-wipe dalvic cache
-reset permissions
-re-flash gapps

14. Can I use the PACman kernel in another JB ROM (FXP CM10 for example)?
Yes you can. The PACman kernel has a good selection of governors and schedulers, as well as OC/UV capability. The Wi-fi is also quite stable when compared with similar JB kernels. For any marriage to work, the wi-fi modules found within the PACman ROM zip archive (in folder: /system/lib/modules) MUST replace those within the ROM you want to pair the kernel with. If you haven’t installed the ROM the you want to use you can drag (not copy and paste) the files from the PACman ROM folder to the new ROM folder before you flash it. If you have already installed the ROM you want to use you can drag the files from the PACman ROM folder to the root of your SD card, then copy and paste them to the system/lib/modules folder on your phone using a root explorer (like ES), making sure that the system is mounted and the permissions of the files once on the phone are set correctly (i.e. check they are the same as the files you replace)… Remember to unmount system when you’ve finished and reboot.

15. my sim card is not allowed to its own provider! does anyone know what to do?
You can manually restore the APN.
or you can try and restore the apns-conf.xml by flashing the attached zip.....
if it doesn't restore automatically after rebooting, go into system settings->Wireless&Networks->More->Mobile Networks->Access Point Names
hit the menu key and then select restore default (this is also where you would find go to manually restore the APN, except you would select add new APN) attachment: see post: 1287

I applied zip, but when I try to set up the apn's and go to settings --> wireless & networks --> more... --> mobile networks --> access point names it goes back to the main settings screen and so I can't set the apn's.
Make sure you turn off any sim card lock and then turn the phone off and on to make sure it is gone. Check to see if your apn sets up automatically. If that doesn't work make sure that your provider (including country) is listed in the apns-conf.xml (it is pretty legible if you open it with notebook+).

Flashtool & Fastboot (XPERIADEV) or Ray Flashtool thread
HOW TO FALSH PAC ROM, IF YOU ARE A NEW ANDROID USER OR YOU UNLOCKED A BOOTLOADER FEW WEAKS AGO
Try this, slowly, carefully, exactly and in order.
1) Make sure you have a copy of the PAC ROM zip on your SD card.
2) Using Flashtool, install 4.0.4 in full, Do not exclude anything, all the wipe tick boxes checked.
3) Unplug your phone, do not turn it on.
4) On your computer, open the PAC ROM zip with WinRAR and DRAG boot.img to your desktop with your mouse. Close the ROM zip.
5) Holding volume +, plug your phone back in. The light will go blue. The Flashtool window will show connected in fastboot mode.
6) Open the Fastboot window in Flashtool and select kernel to flash. Pick the one on your desktop. Wait for it to finish (not long)
7) In the fastboot window, reboot phone into system.
8) Unplug the phone
9) The phone should start, if it doesn't then turn it on.
10) The PAC logo will appear. When the lights flash press Vol + and Vol - until the wobbly CWM recovery screen comes on.
11) do this from the menus:
Wipe data/ factory reset, then Wipe cache.
Go to advanced, wipe dalvik cache.
Hit back, go to mounts and storage, format system.
Hit back, choose zip to install, pick the PAC ROM from your SD card.
Leave the phone for about an hour alone.
Then install gapps from SD card using recovery. Pick reboot to recovery from power off menu.
You do not need xparts. The phone will go back into wobbly CWM screen. Choose zip from SD card. Choose gapps. When installed wipe data, cache, and dalvik cache again. DON'T FORMAT SYSTEM. Reboot.

Power saving
I added some lines to pac v16.1 build.prop to save more battery.
I maked it as flashable zip, so you don't need add lines manually to build.prop.
Download zip. Put it in sdcard root (or where you can find it on sdcard) Go in cwm, select "install zip from sdcard" select zip, reboot and enjoy.
This are the lines what i added:
Code:
# power saving
ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=0
# Saves some battery without reducing performances
wifi.supplicant_scan_interval=180
pm.sleep_mode=1
If you want to edit/delete some lines, or add your own lines just copy wechy.sh from zip, edit it with notepad++ (add your tweak line) copy back edited one into zip, and falsh it as i wrote above. Be carefull what you add to build.prop!
And of course: flash it at your own risk, i'm not responsible if you brick your phone... etc.
Hit thanks if i helped you.

2. Install flashtool.
3. Install drivers inside [C:/]flashtool/drivers restart your pc
4. Download boot.img from post #2
5. Download rom from original thread and download gapps from original thread too.
6. Copy untouched zips to sd card root.
7. Turn off your phone
8. Plug usb into Pc
9. Hold volume up when plug the other end of usb cable into phone (led lights blue)
10. Run flashtool, hit the lightning icon and select fastboot mode
11. Flash kernel YOU MUST SEE: "OKEY"
12. Disconnect usb cable
13. Turn on phone, go into recovery
And follow post #2 How to Flash PACman ROM (first time)
Battery saving tips:
1. See what's sucking the most juice. Navigate to Settings > About Phone > Battery Use to see an organized breakdown of what's consuming your phone's battery. Applications and features will display in a descending list of battery hogs. If you see an application you barely use or a feature you never use, uninstall the app or turn off the feature.
You can download BetterBatteryStats from xda
2. Turn unnecessary hardware features off It's great that today's phones have 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, but do you really need all four activated 24 hours per day? (Use toggles and enable/disable it)
3. Dump unnecessary home screen widgets and live wallpaper. Just because they're sitting on the home screen, seemingly inactive, doesn't mean they're not consuming power. That goes for widgets that poll status updates in the background, as well as ones that just sit there but look pretty and animated—not to mention animated live wallpaper.
4. Screen rotation - use with toggle. enable it, if you really want to with toggle
5. Google play store - Do you need realy that google play looks for updates in 24 h a day? Or you can check it manually when you are at home with wifi?
In playstore settings disable Notification, Auto-update apps, Auto-add widgets and Google AdMobs Ads.
6. Are you 0/24 on net? Enable with toggle only 2g, and disable it, when you use internet browsing mail download etc.
7. Keep an eye on signal strength. If you're in an area with low signal strength, the phone will work harder to latch onto a strong-enough cellular signal. This has an adverse effect on battery life. If your phone switching all the time from 3g to 2g, then you shoul enable only 2g, then the phone doesn't look for 3g network.
8. Most of widget/apps has a update time chooser. Set weather widgets/apps update time to 1 hour.
9. Sometimes i use Google maps, but location is off by me. If you dont want share you location with others then disable it in setting (so the phone does not attempt to determine your place on the basis of transmission towers)
10. I'm almost certain, that after turning wifi off the battery drain is much higher than normally...
justmpm I think this is pretty normal...it will depend a lot on how you set up you 3g/2g settings. Syncing, location tracking, and google maps can all really burn up the battery. If you don't want to fiddle around optimizing every little network app....you can use something like Green Power from the play store. You can set this up to turn off the wifi and data network when the screen goes off....the good thing about Green Power is that you can set it up to wake up every so often to sync your emails, facebook, and whatever else you want. When I have it installed, I usually have it off for 15 minutes and then turn on to sync for 1 minute (it will keep the network open until all the traffic is done, so it won't cut things off if they take > 1 minute to download). I think the default setting for this is off for 5 minutes, on for 1. Even these settings can really extend your battery if your wifi or 3g/2g networks are causing a lot of battery drain.

Gr8 to hear, that it worked now.
I think it's bit more clearer for u now, how u can flash any .zip via sd card
Yep u can flash Jelly Bean for sure, too.
It also was the one I choosed for me.
So just do the same like in guide, but replace the Rom with the Jelly Bean .zip.
If it's not a flashable .zip, u have to flash the .tar via odin (like in first part).
Hope u understand all?! :silly:

all of them, via ODIN!
If u unzip them again, u should the .tar or .md5 files.
1) Load files
code.tar in PDA
modem.tar in PHONE
csc.tar in CSC
.pit file u load in PIT
2) Connect phone to PC
- bring phone in download mode (Vol-,Home and Powerbutton)
- connect via usb cable
3) Odin should recognized the phone
4) Check the "re-partition"
5) START
That's all. But then u don't have any root then. if u need u have to flash a rooted one via Odin afterwards, but first let the LS1 run on ur phone
Much success,

Hello
here i am posting here because i cant post on Miscellaneous Android Development , how ever i think i post there before while working on B5512
I Just got new G700 it came with B115 middle east channel , phone is good but as a start is there is a update i must ask my self is root ready , and CWM for sure so i start the digging
@chamaruco thank you for your great thread which saved and helped many people
now i got a file and i think you were looking for it ""G700-U10_V100R001C00B124CUSTC432D001_Firmware_Portugal_Channel-Others_4.2.1_EMUI 1.8_05021LMW.zip"" it contain usb upgrade and sd upgrade with drv and flash tool
i notice EMUI 1.8 not 1.6 which i saw for example a permission manager with it on P6 is that here in that rom too ?
is that rom improved than mine b115 phone is good for first look but
(in B115)
1-camera quality is strange i dont mean bad but it look very strange it is like very poor on quality
2-in call volume is too low in my opinion all " in test mode"
Question now did any one get that update "EMUI 1.8 B124" can tell is there is any improvements ?!
Question am i able to flash CWM image directly with flash tool to save some annoying procedures ?!
a member here provide flasher and cwm.img and orginal recovery.img
i did not work with the phone yet need to shift data from old phone remove ext2 part and prepare for change , and feeling lost here
want to strike it all once
i will upload "EMUI 1.8 B124" soon as it came from a private server
any suggestions are welcome
When you install 1.8 you will notice there is only a tap error from uploader..it is a 1.6 emui. That's all.
Hello
some info to add
incase of softbrick the phone and unable to flash using spflash tool and receive " not allowed , forbidden "
solution
inside the usb upgrade >> flash "Rework-Secro" using scatter in same folder then you will be able to use download mode again
how to install this firmware i.e. B124 on G700-10

chamaruco; Thanks for the best of the best user guides you have been making for all of us, but what i want to know is to be able to install the B124 into my phone i.e. G700-10, i have rooted my phone using farmaroot, made a back up of my factory shipped OS and make all my data backup safe through Hisuit, have downloaded the firmware B124 Purtogal version, extracted the zip, (it is now carrying META-INF, boot.img, cust.img, logo.bin, sdload.log, system.img) i have made a folder in my SD card named dload and copied the files in it, uninstalled mobileuncle, reinstalled new mobileuncletool, copied my backuped recovery.img into my SDcard and somehow installed the recovery in to my mobile,
now please show me the way forward, what i need to do and how, please step by step if you kindly can. please.

But my mobile does not boot into CWM recovery mode as i have seen in my previous Qmobile A8 it always restarts in the defualt recovery mode which only give options to "1. reboot, 2. update from SDcard, 3. update from cashe, 4. wipe/delete user data and wipe/delete cache and in the last there is a calibarate TP, AND OFF COURSE THESE ALL ARE THE ANDROID BUILTIN RECOVERY STEPS NOT OF THE CWM
And off course there is not any file or folder named update.app in the downloaded .zip/extracted file. "as i have mentioned above the folder contains a folder named META-INF and three img files named as boot cust and system while a .bin file named logo too.
THANKS FOR YOUR TIME AND HELP.

So after I select the Reworked scatter file there is only the sec_ro partition checked to flash. So after flashing it do I now select the previous scatter file and then flash everything (including preloader)?
Please be advised anything you follow from this thread i am not held responsible if you mess your phone up, but if you follow the instructions carefully you have less chance for error! This WILL trigger KNOX and you will lose SECURE FOLDER! some custom roms have a secure folder built in.
Im making this due to many people struggling to root, change country specific code and to help understand the custom rom procedure.
if any information here is missed out or mistyped please let me know.
Credit is due to Chainfire AND Tkkg1994, so Thanks both of you.

ROOT AND TWRP RECOVERY
1. First you will need to download Twrp https://dl.twrp.me/gracelte/twrp-3.0.2-1-gracelte.img.tar.html
2. download the newest SU binary https://download.chainfire.eu/1003/SuperSU/SR1-SuperSU-v2.78-SR1-20160915123031.zip?retrieve_file=1 and save to your SD CARD ROOT directory
3.Reboot into download mode holding Volume Down + Home + Power button and click volume up to select continue.
4.open odin check auto reboot and f.reset time is enabled
5. click AP and select TWRP file you downloaded and click start
6. reboot into recovery and swipe to allow modifications
7. Go to Install and find where you saved SU binary (SD CARD ROOT directory) and click install
8. You are now rooted
CUSTOM ROM INSTALL
By now you should know which Rom you wish to install and should have it download.
1. Put the rom.zip onto you SD CARD ROOT directory.
2. Reboot into TWRP recovery ( VOLUME UP + HOME + POWER BUTTON) and allow modifications.
3. Click install and find the custom rom you downloaded to the SD CARD ROOT directory and click it to install.
4.Follow the instructions included in the rom and choose the options you wish to install (some roms give you the option to install the old 100% battery kernel, i reccommend you dont install this kernel for obvious reasons) you should also do a CLEAN install (factory reset/format data)
5. you should now be installed and able to reboot into custom rom.
CSC Change
CSC changing allows you to change your country code from o2 to ee for example to allow wifi calling etc.
1. BACKUP your EFS Partition. (incase any error occur)
2. Download the exynos CSC.zip from Tkkg1994 Post http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-7/development/utility-flashable-csc-selection-v1-0-t3450911
3. Save the zip file to your SDCARD ROOT directory
4. Reboot into TWRP Recovery and allow modifications
5. Click install and find the CSC.zip you saved to your SD CARD ROOT directory and click it to start installation.
6. Follow instructions until you get to the mulitple choice list of CSC. BTU is the UK unbranded csc which also has the built in wifi calling option for example EE network. (recommend) choose which csc you want and click to install
7. once done go back and reboot the system you are now done
If you followed the full guide you should now be rooted with custom recovery and have your CSC changed
If you require to revert back to stock for any reason open samsung smart switch, click more and then the second tab, next enter your model number and seriel number and click okay
You forgot to mention that by doing this you trigger knox and lose secure folder

good point thankyou sir!
hi all
Near perfect build from marshmellow Aosp ended up in IMEI , BASEband unkown and NO SIM issue , xperia z ultra 6833
every thing is prefectly working CAM , wifi , gapss , rooting etc. battery is amazing and its very very fast as minimal install
i am out of options now so put to you guys to help me out i have tried almost every zip file posted ( around 10+ ) for modem fix but nothing fixes it .....!!
can any one please post a working modem fix / base band fix
CLUE
while being totally frustrated i dirty flashed few of those modem fix files and suddenly it fixes the issues and every thing started to work perfectly , thanksfully i backed up the system and boot image via twrp .. and now able to use it but cannot make a flashable zip out of it.
IDEA
can i some how convert the ext4.win partitions ( backupfiles ) into IMG files and then pack then via script into flashable zip for recovery ?? OR is there any thing from TWRP or any other recovery via i can extract IMG files of system and boot so that i can be used as base rom ?
OPTIONS I TRIED STEPS OF FAILURE
1, tried all modem .zip files ( FAILED )
2, extracted the backedup ext4.win system file via cygwin and extracted the /etc/firmware/ files and recomplied via updator script in my source folder of /system/etc/firmware files ( FAILED )
3, tried pulling the system.img via DD command successfully done , but while trying to flash it via fastboot got an error cannot load system.img i suspect due to very large size of it i.e .2 GB + i dont knwo why ? ( FAILED )
4, i tried /etc/firmware folder form a working rom and swaped with my source and recompiled via updator script ( FAILED )
try flashing stock rom with flashtool http://www.flashtool.net/downloads.php
edit: not sure what your problem is?
You dirty flashed some file that made the imei go bad? But it solved the problem?
I'm not getting it?

@SUPERUSER
Follows are the steps i performed to give better idea about situation .
1, STEP 1 , i did : flashed the system and boot img files from aosp source build after which the IMEI wiped off.
2,Step 2, i search and flashed many modem.zip from xda posts but non of them worked. and IMEI issue still persists ( i tried one by one each file ) with clean flash .
3, Step 3, i tried two modem.zip dirty flash , and suddenly it worked after restart but i forgot which files i used
4, luckily before i wiped current combination i took the backups of system and boot img files
5, Problem , i need a proper modem file which can remove this issue happened in step 1 and 2 .
6 , Current solution or work around i did is , i Pulled the system and boot images from working rom and made them flashable zip .via script .. its working fine but its not a proper solution because in future if i want to edit the source then same issue will occur as i understand the issue lies with source i believe ..
I hope i made it clear as much as possible and hopefully get some help ...

Can you share the modem files you used to get it working?
You write you got it working and made a backup in twrp.
Can you mount the partition and pull the files?
I need:
mba.b00
modem.b01
modem.mdt
They are located in system/etc/firmware.
