I want to use a tablet app in my smartphone, but I don't know how to do it. There are any way to install some of this apps in my device? It is a Xperia Z.
I'm sorry about my english level, I hope my question is clear. Thanks.

Do you mind if I ask the specific app you're wishing to put on your phone?

If you mean that you want to control your tablet by your phone download team viewer app

if you are trying to install an app that is design specifically for a tablet that says incompatible in google play,
you should download the apk file from here http://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/
then check "unknown sources" under security in settings
then open the apk file you downloaded and it should install
fyi this is called sideloading

You can't get true vanilla without a bootloader unlock, but you can use titanium backup to delete the Sony bloat. That's what I did on my Tablet S, and it also happens to be muuuuuch less laggy. As for the rest of the UI, I know there is an app to change the soft keys (I have never tried it), but for the settings app and the rest of the system there isn't much you can do

I can't confirm that all of it is safe to remove, i just left all the small app stuff, appinstaller.apk, dtcpctrl.apk, all the playstation games (xtab doesn't have these I don't think), mediaplayers.apk, SENinstaller.apk, SENmediator.apk, the ir remote stuff, and the media remote app (You can get rid of this, I just left it because I have a Sony blu-ray player). You can remove any socialife plugins, anything related to socialife, registration app, etc. I also run Nova Launcher to give it that AOSP look, but I haven't checked to see if any of this hampers the stock launcher. Remember to install the recovery backdoor so you can reinstall 4.1.1 if something goes wrong. I did have an issue where titanium backup didn't remove some of the apps, so I had to use a file explorer to delete that crap in /datapp/vendor/vendor0/app/ and /datapp/vendor/vendor1/app/. You might have a slightly different file system because you have a XTS on 4.1.1 and I have an STS on 4.0.3, so be careful

Make sure you use All In One tool and install rescue back-door and then disable update notifications. This will lower the incremental so if you **** your tablet then you can easily install JB again.

What a great community, thanks so much. So do I need both titanium backup AND All in One tool? Or is the latter just a part of the former?
Two separate. You Can grab titanium off of Market. AiO is in The dev. Section of this forum, courtesy of Condi.

thanks so much everyone, one last question: will you please link me to that all in one app because even through the search part of the form I still couldn't find one made by condi. I did find, however an All in One cleaner app but I figured that isn't the one.

No worries. All updates for Sony Tablet S and Xperia Tablet S are done through the Tablet itself. Rescue Back-Door simply changes vendor.prop located in the /vendor folder. It changes the line. ro.update.incremental (or something like that) to before HoneyComb and that is why we refer to it as lowered incremental. If you look at the file name after -ota etc the number is as follows 130516001.zip 13(year) 05(month) 16(day) 001(version), that is the incremental. This is what Sony's recovery looks at when trying to install a zip. So if you have JB installed and do not use back door you CAN NOT flash anything. Whereas you have back door installed you CAN install any zip for your region. i.e R3 > R6, R6A, R6B, JB for Xperia S

[Q] can anyone give a list of meanless files that could be in system ?

I want to make my system free of meanless stuff. Can anybody help ?
Delete the useless apps to you from system, everything else is in need.
May be charging animation and bootanimation is removable, but it won't save any space.

Well the unwanted apps are called bloatware like Support App and Android Stock Browser. If you want to remove all those apps which came installed in the phone when you bought it and cannot be deleted, you will have to root your phone and then install ES File Explorer or any other app which can uninstall them. Then you would be able to uninstall even those wallpapers which came loaded and even the phone and messaging app.
Use search button for your phone and you will find helpful threads...

So did you download them with es explorer, can you see them in the apps section of es explorer, also suggest you restart your shield then tick unknown sources again and try
When in file I go to favourites there is no Google option so I chose yahoo for a search engine. Then on yahoo typed in Aptoid tv pressed to download and nothing appears to happen. In.aystore apps say not compatible with nvidia shield. I've only had a firestick previously so I'm struggling to understand what's different the shield

Zwift APK - re-sign or mod? - Compatibility Android TV

Hi all,
I was wondering if anybody could assist with helping make an APK work on Android TV.
Zwift is the app - it's a VR Cycling and Running app.
I have the latest version of the APK to sideload -- Unfortunately it's not signed to work with Android TV yet, so it comes up with the error "app not installed"
Does anybody know a workaround?
I'm not sure which parts of the APK to modify or how, other than re-signing. I've search online high and low.
Help is greatly appreciated. I can attach the APK if required.
Thanks

Okay.
Am I correct in a assuming that the APK isn't signed for Android TV? - with the "app not installed" error msg when trying to install the APK.
What if it's something else other than whether or not the APK is signed that may be causing this? Perhaps it could be something resolvable without root?
I need to get this apk installed on the Sony Bravia so I'll do whatever is requred, if rooting turns out to be the only way then I'll do that.
