I just updated to gingerbread and now it won't let me connect to my phone network (virgin mobile). It keeps giving me an error message saying that "my SIM card doesn't have access to it". Any ideas?
Has your phone been unlocked? Perhaps try a different modem?
I flashed my phone to my region but the network icon has a "stop" sign. How do u full unlock the phone ( I tried checking with *#7465625#) and all 4 items are locked. I have rooted the phone as well but I cannot update it at Google Play just keeps downloading.
Just to add the baseband on the phone is "unknown" is this part of the reason? The versions is 2.3.6 with CSC is 5830OLBKT3.

Hello Everyone, I am using Samsung Ace s5830i and since yesterday I am not able to make any calls, when I try to call a number it says "Mobile Network not available" but I can see good signal strength and I am also able to use GPRS. In the notification area it says "Emergency calls only".
I went to Settings -> mobile networks, when I try to manually select my operator(TATA Docomo, i'm from India) i get the error "Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network".
I have removed the sim card, inserted in another mobile, it works fine. When I try try to insert a sim card of some other operator into ace I get the same errors listed above.
These are the things that I have tried.
1. Removed the sim card, battery inserted them back and restarted the phone
2. Restored my Nandroid backup
3. Complete factory reset
None of these worked and still I get the same error.
Information regarding the phone:
Model- Samsung Galaxy Ace s5830i rooted with CWM 5.0.2.6
Android version - 2.3.6
Mobile network type - GPRS
Network- TATA Docomo
Signal Strength - -90dBm
Service state - Out of service
Mobile network state - Disconnected
IMEI - Unknown
I have called Network provider they say fault is with the phone.
Any help would be really appreciated...

Re: Help "Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network"
Just for the knowledge, what may be the reason for losing imei and does flashing stock rom retrieve my imei.
Sent from my GT-S5830i using xda app-developers app
possible reasons are many...i don't know what files did you flash? (Rom/kernel/scripts)
Cronmod script is known to have this issue...did you flash this script?
Flashing stock rom with odin will give back your imei!
What's your ROM/kernel? and what scripts did u flash?
Re: Help "Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network"
I am using stock rom. No i didn't flash cronmod script. I'm not sure but i think problems started after installing Online Nandroid backup tool maybe it has installed some scripts, i'm not blaming the tool it is fanastic app to make nandroid backups.
Let me flash custom rom, hope problem goes off.

Hi
I believe that my phones radio capabilities may be disabled. I tried to root my phone but ended up flashing it with an ftf file and now i cant connect to my mobile network with my phone, Ive tried multiple simcards and flashing my phone a few times with different ftf files.
Everything else on my phone seems to be working fine except ability to connect to mobile network carrier.
I cant unlock the bootloader or use s1tools because it cant recognise the certificate or something like that, I can flash and root the phone though.
can i save my phone and how?
Hi
Today i flashed and rooted my unlocked xperia x10i with flashtool and the provided .ftf file, "X10_V1_BLRelock.ftf". Pretty much after that my phone had been reset and i couldn't connect to my mobile network.
During the initial setup after the flash, my phone asked me to "Please insert sim card and restart your phone", Now in the drop down bar is has a "No service, selecting network (yes optus) is unavailable). Originally with this phone and my x10a the other networks had a red circle indicating i couldn't access them however right now i can try to connect to all of them but fail. everytime i try to connect i get the message "Your simcard does not allow connection to this network". My APN list is blank but it has always been blank.
My simcard works in another phone, other simcards dont work in my phone. I tried flashing my phone again and rooting it again, with multiple ftf files. I was going to try installing another rom for jellybean, but i cant because my adb drivers are stuffed and ill figure that out later if need be.
I live in australia and the imei is fine, hasnt changed and im not even sure if that would effect the phone from functioning here. I have no idea is its affected the phones radio or frequencies if supposed to function on, help would be greatly appreciated.
I cant receive or make phone calls, texts messages, anything that relies upon me being connected to my carrier. everything else seems to work fine including my home internet. i also used that *#*#4636#*#* and that didnt really tell me anything i dont think.
Phone: Xperia x10i, unlocked
Running: android 2.3.3,
baseband version: 2.1.71
If you require any other information, ill post it up, not that sure what would be needed to figure this out.
Hi, i recently flashed an A10 with the stock firmware (I downloaded the one that matched my country), and everything worked great, except the phone can only make emergency calls. When i insert the SIM card it detects the mobile network, but it doesnt seem to be able to select a network operator (neither manually nor automatically).
I flashed the "free" firmware (the one that isnt locked to any network provider), and It detects the provider that matches different SIM cards and sets up the APN (i also tried manually setting them with official guides), but doesn´t connect to the network and says that it "can´t connect to this network right now, try again later" when i try to select the network operator (IDK if operator is the right word, my phones are in spanish, and dont know which word android uses on english)
The baseband is correct, but when i looked up the IMEI on an IMEI info website, it matched with a NOTE 10 instead of an A10.
This is a friends phone, it was non usable (wouldnt boot), i didnt back up the EFS partition because im a dumbass, but i think the reason it didnt work was because someone else tried to flash a firmware (maybe a note 10 instead of A10), but he says it just stopped working. I am yet to try to flash other network provider´s firmware (the one it originally used), but i was told any that matched my country should work.
WI-FI and mobile network both work, and it detects the SIM card.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give!
Have you tried with a different SIM card?
