Hello. Recently I updated my HTC One M8 on AT&T to get the 4.4.4 kit Kat update. Since the update, a certain area of my screen if I tap on it it taps somewhere else. Does anyone know what is wrong with it and or how to fix it? Thanks.

Assume you mean you updated by OTA (opposed to RUU).
Try backing up your personal data, and doing a factory reset. Random bugs after an OTA are often (although not always) solved by doing a factory reset.

Problem: Calendar reminds of event at default time selected "10minutes" I turn on phone> select "snooze" with the lock ring. After that nothing, no reminders after that. Same as selecting "dismiss" with the lock screen ring.
Anyone wanna try it and see if its just my phone.
I'm seeing this on me and wifes stock unrooted 1.50 hboot phones
I did many searches and find that this is still a bug and no fix has been found. All that has been suggested is download a APP called "Calendar Snooze" I have downloaded it and seems to work fine but I really want the stock HTC one to work. It worked fine on my HTC TP2 so what gives?
before the flames begin I started a new thread since there is no "titles" with the search terms it (oh wait there is one but with no replies and "snooze" is spelled wrong)
So any others with same bug?
I am seeing the same problem on my new HTC One VX. Have you found a solution?
Are you using a Sense 4 ROM?
Or is it a stock ROM?

Does anyone know how I can disable the system update notifications? I recently received the notification for the latest update, but don't want to lose root. My tablet has a checkbox and I just uncheck, but can't seem to find one on the S3.
Bumping this in hopes that someone figured it out.
What network for clarification?

Sprint. There doesn't seem to be a setting to disable the system updates like there was on my old Evo.
I'd like to know too.
Which app controls the update notification, so I can freeze it?
Or can one modify build.prop and change the room build version to stop getting system update notification?
I've been able to "resolve" the notification issue by flashing the latest update of the rom you're using, but I really don't like having to do it so often just to avoid the update notification. It would be nice to get it turned off somehow--bump.
Assuming you're rooted, go into TiBu and filter for AT&T Software update (or insert the carrier you're on), then click the filter funnel.
The app to freeze will be right there for you to see, and....well, freeze.
I'm on AT&T so in my case the app is called: "AT&T Software update V3_1205_2_2"

I used Titanium Backup (TB) for this. Basically you are gonna wanna freeze the update app using TB. It is called "Software update v3_1205_1_3"
Or at least that is what they are called on my phone and ROM. They might have slightly different name on your device depending on the carrier, device variant, and ROM.
Hope this helps!
Great! Thanks for the suggestion.. Sprint's seems to be just "update", I've freezes it so hopefully that worked.
I just bought a HTC One, and I got notified of the 4.3 update, but dont think I want to update just yet, as I hear of battery troubles.
Is there a way to disable the notification? I dont see an option to turn it off, but thought if I could clear the data on whatever app was triggering it, it might go away. Currently my best options are to remind me in 4 hours. Its not rooted and has android 4.1.2 Sense 5.0.
Thank you
-------------Update----------
Sorry cant delete post, found another post that helped. Long press system update notification in pull down and goto app info and force quit and clear data. We will see how it works.
FYI, I did 4.3 RUU update and I have no battery issue on 2 phones so far.
Yea I recommend doing updating via ruu it solved most of the issue including battery life, that I was having

Galaxy s4 stock not rooted running 4.3
If I open a email in gmail and there is a email address in the email section I click on it and it freezes and causes android system to force close.
If I uninstall the latest gmail update and perform the same action it brings up a new email like it's supposed to.
Anyone else having this problem?

I just tried what you are talking about and mine opens up a new email like it's supposed to. I am stock unrooted 4.3 MJ7 Verizon.
Just wondering....have you tried a power cycle or battery pull to restart the phone and see if that fixes it? Not trying to insult your intelligence ....just trying to help...I sometimes forget about simple fixes :0
Hope to hear what you did to fix it.
Take care.

I assume you have your stuff backed up....
I softbricked my S4 once and I was all but ready to submit a warranty claim and get it replaced then I tried one last thing which was the Verizon Software Upgrade Assistant....you know the software that shows up as a drive when you plug your phone in via usb on your pc......well I went into that and told it to do the recovery thing which wiped the phone totally clean........and when the phone restarted I jumped for joy when it displayed the Android Widget with a progress bar on the screen when it was REINSTALLING 4.3 .
Something along those lines would be worth a try if you got your stuff backed up and you are not worried about loosing any root.
I am pretty sure it was the Verizon Software Upgrade assistant and NOT Samsung KIES (which I had installed also.)
You see I have removed them both from my pc and want to make sure I give accurate information so I want to BE CLEAR that there is a chance it was KIES that I used.
Someone on here should respond to confirm which one does what it did for me...wish I was 100% sure and because I am not I don't want to say for sure which one it was......BUT IT WAS ONE OF THEM and like I said the Android Animation showed up with a progress bar when it rebooted which is the same thing one sees when installing an OTA update.
I hope this helps. I know how it is to be in computer hell or the equivalent.
Just me $.02 worth.

It just seems to happen with the latest gmail update from Nov 25 if I uninstall update it works fine

Hi just wondering if you had any luck on resolving your issue. By chance do you have that Knox software installed or should I say enabled. I don't use it and have it totally disabled as much as one can while being on stock unrooted version of MJ7.

I too have the issue of Blinkfeed not working when updating to the newest version. I'm on Verizon also. Reverting back to the last version works fine.
Try disabling Sense Toolbox if you use it. I couldn't even get into the launcher after i updated until I did so. Specifically I disabled the infinifolders mod.

Tried disabling and even uninstalling Sense Toolbox. No go on Verizon One Max. Looks like we Verizon folks have to wait on the next update from HTC. Sent email to developer and posted on Play Store review.

Sense Home Update Problem for Verizon HTC One Max Resolved
FIX FOUND:

In build.prop change value of ro.product.brand to HTC, save changes and restart. In my case it read VERIZON previously.
Worked like a charm.

The issue was reported to HTC Devs and they responded saying that the fix should be coming in their next update to Sense Home. Otherwise, you will have to uninstall Sense Home Updates to go back to your previous version.
