Hi! A friend has an lg l9 p760 locked on Orange Romania and he says that it suddenly stuck on lg logo.( never tried to root or whatever) After pressing key combo Vol Down + Home + Power it appeared a dead android with a red triangle. Now that is what always appear. I already tried to flash a stock fw with Lg Flash Tool 2014, at 90-95% the phone reboots but no change, still the dead android. Same with Lg suport tool. My friend went in 2 services but they said they couldn't fix it( poor services tought). Before this the phone had stock JB from Orange Romania. What should i do?
Sorry for my english! Cheers!

Have you tried getting it into recovery mode?
Try to start in recovery mode (power + Vol UP + Home), and the phone will automatically recover your ROM.

If nothing works you can download your original ROM Using LG KDZ Updater, and simply Downloading a stock KDZ file for your device. ( Should be availableusing google =] ). You should be able to find your exact firmware specific to your carrier. If not use one close.. Instructions should follow.
You can always use the LG Update tool ( that came with your device ) afterwards to bring it to your original factory firmware.
Okay long story short, I attempted to install transparent cm7.2 status bar and phone bricked (fastboot). I fixed it and installed other phone model's cwm with windows cmd command (stupid, I know). After this I'm always stuck at lg screen. Can't get into recovery either. Lg update tool does not find the phone, neither does cmd.exe. I sometimes get the ''colored snow screen'' or whatever I should call it. But it doesnt change the fact that the phone can't be recognized by anything.
What should I do? I ran out of ideas. I can't turn the phone in any mode, it always starts with the lg screen.
bump
bump. dammit, am i really screwed? I managed to get a notification about new hardware installing yesterday but none of the driver stuff I had worked so I left it the way it was and did not install anything afterwards.
I've just entered Emergency Mode!! with volume up+down+plugging into usb. Some driver got installed but there's still no lg stuff in device manager
Completely bricked.
Doesn't turn on at all.
Okay, any excuse I can tell the phone suppliers?
cek recovery
whether you have flash before CWM recovery?
if you might have tried to go to CWM pressing the power + vol down
if you managed to do as they pleased
The phone is a brick. It doesn't turn on in any way. Completely dead. If I could get to CWM I wouldn't be asking for a story to tell the phone suppliers xD
You can use KDZ Updater and also download original lg firmware. All can be found here in this forum.

Hi everyone, i'm new in the forum, my name is Edoardo and I'm from Italy.
Yesterday i tried to unbrick my LG P760, and I did it, getting in the Security Error screen.
So i tried to flash the default firmware with KDZ (V20C),i set emergency, boot the SW Upgrade mode on my phone and then clicked on launch update.
my phone stays on for a while, and when kdz says unpacking kdz, after about a minute the phone power off.
i tried with lg mobile support tool, at 15% same problem.
for the unbrick i used this on Win7: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2411265_
and it worked.
what should i do now? the phone was rooted, and with CWM recovery. the night before the total brick (if it matters) my contact numbers disappeared, so i shutdown the phone, and then power on, with the result of a black screen with this text:

Secure boot unsuccessful!

Sorry for my english.
Hello there. My girlfriend has a LG L9 P778g (which is actually a P768). She was charging her phone last night, left it there. After a couple of hours she picked it up and the phone was dead, black screen and wouldn't boot up (No LG LOGO, NOTHING, not even the backlight on the buttons).
I've flashed P768 ICS xloader and uboot with fastboot by Lelus. Then went into fastboot with option 1. Went into S/W Upgrade Mode, and my LG was recognized by the LG Support Tool (it shows up as Android: OMAP440 FastBoot USB Device in Device Manager and as LGP778g in LG Support Tool).
Process finished to 100% (around 90% screen went black). But nothing happens, i mean, the cellphone still won't turn on, just black screen. I SEE NO LG LOGO, NOTHING. I can only get into S/W Upgrade mode after fastbooting. (No fastboot image on screen neither).
Any hints?
Thanks!!
Regards, Alan

Hi Alan, it feels like a hardware issue or maybe a broken power button. Can't you try booting to fastboot over USB and then rebooting as normal?
Maybe you need to press the home button to switch the screen on after flashing. If the D/L mode screen was replaced by the LG stock recovery (service mode), immefiately flash the rom a second time. Then it should boot to the launcher.
This worked for me when nothing else did.
