Turn my Windows PC Into An Wireless Receiver To receive Songs From my android device - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

can i Turn my Windows PC Into An Wireless Receiver To receive Songs From my android device
sorry for my english

Yes you can! Downtown a program called VLC from videoland and from the play store vlc direct.
You setup vlc on your PC as the server and you control from your android. You can play both audio and video files and the files can be on your PC or streamed from your android.

[Q] how to use DLNA?

Dos anyone knows how to use DLNA with connected media app on E3D? I have a PS3 and bluray player that DLNA enabled but I can't use the connected media app when it searches for player it doesn't find anything. I can use the media share app and my ps3 and bluray player sees the phone but I find that complicated way of streaming media from my phone. So any ideas how to make this thing work? Thanks.
Media share app complicated? It's so easy and that's what you're going to have to use my friend or download an app off the market. In media share app, just check the share box, choose which folders on your SD cars to share, music, DCIM, VIDEOS, ETC. AND BOOM!!

And boom? Lol funny. What if I have close to 100 videos and thousands of music? That connected media app there for a reason and I want to know how it works.

Having a panasonic top notch smart tv, I am also wondering how to do this. Would suck if it only worked on samsung devices which I am starting to wonder
You might have to change some settings but i can access networked dlna devices just from the stock gallery app. I get a separate album for each device...

Update: its just as simple as it is..
Requirements:
1. Wireless network
2. Media Servers (I use nero Media Home or Plex Media Server)
3. Wireless/Mobile Device smart phone (GSIII) or Smart TV (LG LW5700).
1. Open and start Stream Media Server
2. Import Videos SD or HD
3. Open Default Video Player of SIII then
4. tick scan for nearby devices
5. Wait till scan finishes (processing...)
6. Tick the movie you want to play
That's all Thank you..
additional note: in my experience GSIII is having trouble to scan the videos on the media server at first
then found them after during several scanning tries but once it loaded the video you can watch them with ease.
I dont know if it was a setting on my router or the media server thats making it hard to scan the videos.
if there are other methods it would be glad to share your inputs.

Streaming Live TV

My Desktop PC has a TV car in it and I record and watch shows through it, at the moment I can stream the recorded TV shows and other videos to my Nexus 10 using ES File Explorer.
However I am curious to find out if there is a way of streaming the live TV as it plays on my Desktop PC, over the wi-fi to my Nexus 10?
I know VLC player has some streaming capabilities with TV cards.. don't know how effective this will be?
Is their an easier way, other programs designed for this?
I do use TV Catchup app on my tablet to watch live TV sometimes but I would like a solution that is just utilizing the wi-fi and not the internet connection!
Cheers.

I would think a media extender app would be more useful. Like the how the xbox 360 app works. That would take care of the storage issue and the copy protection. Anyone know of one or a reason that wouldn't work?
1. Remote Media Center App + Remote Potato: Have not tried it and it may not be compatible with jellybean 4.2 according to the reviews.

2. XBMC will connect to hdhomerun tuners but you will need to provide a file with a list of channels for your particular cable provider.

Xbmc can connect to various backend tv servers (android app are still beta), like mediaportal tv server, and you don't need any additional files provided that you setup tv server right. Other option are using mediaportal and ampdroid app, but you have to setup mediaextender program in addition, on pc.

Media sharing via one Device to all on Network

I am have set up mu Galaxy Tab 10.1 as a Central "Hub" mounted on my wall and streaming to my Chromecast, my Bluetooth Stereo and answering voice commands even while Screen Off mode. Its really turned out to be an idea thats exceeded my expectations.
So my next intergration, is getting the "Hub" media onto all of my other devices, I have 3 tabs/phones. I can get access to Kodi to LocalCast using DLNA/UPnP and onto Kore the Kodi remote. I can swap files using SMB or FTP servers to any file manager......but these are not EXACTLY my ultimate goal.
I am looking to connect my photos/music/video off of my Hub to all other devices, no matter what App, Music Player or Gallery App I'm using AS IF the media was stored on each device as a Local File. If the media could be picked up by the Android Media Scanner that would be amazing, but really I need to be able to browse and play the media using just about any Application. I think that explains it pretty clearly, I hope there is a solution already available...
..in the haystack Ive been searching but cant find a single solution to this. [emoji38]
