Hey everyone,
I was wondering, if anyone could make cyanogenmod (prefer CM12) happen for the Huawei Mediapad 10 Link+ (S10-231u)?
This device is really great, but most developments are for S7...
Anyone who picks up the challenge would be my hero!
Thanks and cheers,

Just found on Huawei's webpage:

Unfortunately no details on the specs yet ...
Interesting. Maybe they lopped off a little bit to bring it down to a Nexus 7-ish price.
I emailed huawei about this version, asked about release date and specs, got this answer :
Dear Customer, Thank you for contacting Huawei device. Sorry about that mediapad lite has not released now. And maybe it will released in the future. But we also didn’t know the exact time when it will released. Once again thank you for contacting Huawei device now. Best Regards. Huawei Device Customer Care Team

If they remove the cellular capabilities and MicroSD card slot then there's no use for this device.
Here's hoping that isn't the case.
I hope huawei mediapad 7 lite gets official JB as the default, so this gives the advantage to mediapad current user
Specs are avaible now ... in fact, its a mediapad 7 lite ...
Ick, they nerfed the resolution down to 1024x600.

Lite indeed. Uses Cortex A8 instead of A9.
Only plus would be lighter, cheaper.
Seems also the specs of the MP 10 FHD is different to the information in the press before:
no microSD
1 GB RAM

I think our mediapad is still one of the best tablet out there.. It's much better than any of galaxy tab.. (except for 7.7) it's really pitty if huawei doesn't give update for JB...

Absolutely agree with you. Huawei doesn't know how to market the Mediapad effectively. I guess they are still more focused on selling carrier big-iron items.
i hope they wont cancel MediaPad "Full" support, and only sell and update the Lite...
is cpu cortex-a8?
i see some test, where snapdragon s3, our msm8260 beats cortex a8 cpu at most near 2.5 times by results
So much of a downgrade not even worth it.
how do you put this mediapad 7 lite to download mode?
Picked up 2 Venue 8 (3830) a few weeks ago. Don't care for the dell kitkat version much at all..
I was surprised unable to find any developers working on the venue 8?
Anyone know of any ROMS for these?
THX- happy holidays

there are currently no roms what so ever
howerer the devs over at the samsung galaxy tab 3 10.1 (same soc intel z2580) forum managed to boot a cm11 built, so maybe we will get cm11 or 12 soon
Cool thanks... Fingers Crossed
Well I rooted my tab and being using xposed. Feels like a custom ROM.
we are still struggling in developing the cwm.I doubt we will get any custom rom this year
So I just got this tablet as a cheap add on to my phone contract with EE in the UK. I've searched the internet and the XDA forums and can't find a specific place where any developers working on ROMs in the same way I have had with all of my Samsung phones in the past.
Is there any hope for something like linage 14.1 or just a stock 6.0 or 7.0 ROM for this tablet with TWRP?
I can see that it has a Snapdragon 615. Is there something about this that's hard to develop for or is it just that not many people have the tablet?
Any respone would be helpful. Thanks!
I join in here. Same situation for me.
Hi guys,i need help from u. I have currently iphone 6s plus and i have chance to exchange it for Honor 9? Is it good idea? I like Android more. Are there any problems? Appreciate all replies.
Yea. I saw some speed tests and it seems this phone is really fast. I dont like iOS. I feel like in a prison. You cant do a **** here. Jailbreak is comin, but still u can do this on an Android phone without this. I see this device has some development, what is important for me. Im worried that i wont be good with this phone. I changed a lot of devices in a few months,so im worried. But i think its a good device. I saw here on the forum some touch problems. What is it about? Thanks in advance.

I like the new Huawei Mediapad M5 8.4" with WiFi as a replacement to my Nexus 7 2013. How Developer friendly are Huawei products?
Do you think that there will there be TWRP and root support on the Mediapad?
Looking forward to replacing my Nexus 7 (2012) with the MediaPad M5 and I would like to use it as a development device, too. As far as I know you need to register as a developer to get an unlock key for the bootloader. Can anybody confirm this?
