Hi could someone help me :( - Xperia Z2 Tablet Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have this tablet rooted but today i installed gravity box and it ask me for reboot then i reboot the tablet and doesn't turn on, i tried to conect to charging and nothing, i connected in flash mode and nothing, i dont know what to do, what can i do?

Have you tried to power down by pressing volume up/down and power button all together, then see if you can enter flash mode, then maybe re-flash a firmware that can be re-rooted?

How have you tried to enter flash mode, have you tried FlashTool?
You say you pressed power + up volume, but have you also tried power + up volume + down volume (all at the same time), then see if you can enter flash mode?

i was trying to root it and install recovery mode this file CWM_Recovery_with_201211201515_kernel and h press rebooot but it down reboot from them.and dont turn on
Try to remove sd, sim, battery. Hold volume down + home + power button while still holding insert the battery. It should go to download mode so you can flash from odin.
If it neither goes to download mode, try usb-jig.

[Q] Flashed new ROM without emptying cache. Can't enter recovery mode. HELP

Hi all
I have used search and I can find results that pertain to other devices but not specifically Galaxy S3 (I9300).
I've been trying to flash a new ROM onto my phone.
To do this:
- I rooted the phone using Odin and installed CF Root + CWM package.
- After doing this, I did the 3 button reset to enter Recovery mode. However, the phone always entered into Download Mode (Odin Mode / "Downloading... Do not turn off target !!"). I was never able to enter Recovery mode.
- So I couldn't use the Recovery mode to install the ROM.
- Instead, I used ROM Manager to do the install (Cyanogen 9) but I did this without clearing the cache.
The result:
- Now if I leave the phone to boot, it enters Cyanogen 9 boot screen but stuck here looping.
- if I try to enter recovery mode to clear the cache, it only gives me download screen.
I've tried a few different uploads to get recovery mode (and it successfully uploads the files I send using Odin) however the phone still enters download mode after the flash.
I'm worried about doing the wrong steps if I follow advice from other sub-forums relating to other devices.
Any tips?
Many thanks.

The three button reset is power button + Home + Volume up to enter into recovery..
You are going to Download mode because you are pressing Power button + Home + Volume down key ...
Read this guide
Recovery mode is volume up while pressing home and then power.
Try this first and see if you can access recovery, if not then flash Philz recovery via odin and then boot into it to clear data, cache etc.
Make sure you read and understand how to use both odin and recovery before you start, otherwise you can brick your phone.

Thanks MoonBlade.
Funnily, I was pressing power + home + volume down to get download mode.
I tried pressing power + home + volume up, which successfully got me into recovery mode.
Strangely reversed.
This seems to have resolved the problem.

not sure if i will be of any help or you already figured it out. but what once worked for me is to press power as soon as you see sony logo right away let go and hold volume up only. but quick like. than continue to hold volume up. if not try volume down same direction. i think the button changes if your rooted.

The device is stuck on CM10 screen keep holding the power button at some time the screen goes off...
at that point immediately hold the Volume Down no matter what don't leave it until it takes u to the bootloader.......

Thanks for reply. When should I do that combination? While the phone is off or while is stuck on this screen? How long should I hold power key? Just for a second or until something happens?

Same thing, it got booted up in Android but this time it says "Safe mode" in the bottom left corner (can't remember if it said that last time).
Power off ur phone before following the above key combination and wait until the screen turns back on.
Don't understand you, but I think you should go to download mode and reinstall TWRP.
