Hello All,
Lollipop is up and running on many (almost All) devices now.
But Kitkat has its own charm.
I for myself love the Kitkat notification drawers, the two side pulldown wnere you could customise and add widgets to the left pulldown also unlike Lollipop where only the right side , GENERALLY, holds the widgets..
Also I loves the Kitkat navibar icons and despise the geometric shapes of the Lollipop nav bar.
Those are just my personal opinions, I know everybody loves Lollipop.
I know there are ways to activate and get the Lollipop Navibar and also the Notification style on Kitkat, BUT IS THERE ANY OPTION TO GET IT THE OTHER WAY AROUND???
is there any option or a flashable file for me to enable the notification style of kitkat on lollipop, I mean the pulldown bars only not the complete notifiers..
I know that themes can edit the nav bars to my liking, but is there any file for just that.
Sorry for my impatience and ignorance, but I have searched and found nothing for the solution...

Hello people!! I want some help on theming my frameork-res.apk. I've done almost all things to look it like that of ICS, but now, the only thing I am stuck at is the Text Color of the Title of a dialog. I want to change it to blue like that of ICS.

The above is the Dialog of the ICS Rom. Here, the text color of the Title of dialog is Blue. My framework-res.apk is from FroYo, so the Title text color of dialog is white there. This is thing I want to change.
I know that it's in values/styles.xml, but which style inside it?? I see "Theme.Dialog" inside it, there are the following lines:-
Which thing under this I need to modify?? Is that @style/TextAppearance" or "@color/primary_text_dark/light", etc.???

I tried it!! It's linked to style-- DialogWindowStyle.
There's a color for text appearance in this style. I changed this color to Blue like ICS. BUT DON'T KNOW WHY, IT DOESN'T WORK!!

Have you checked the settings apk? I have found sometimes things are set there instead of reffering to the stock framework. Mainly with the huge diff in froyo and ICS theming set up

I am extremely excited about the S3 but my only gripe is that the icons (phone, messaging, contacts) etc look very dated.
Fortunately it's android, so we can change them (I assume).

Should be in the Q&A section........as far as i know NO you can not change touchwiz icons.
maybe someone else can shed more light on this for you though.
It is possible with other launchers adw for example
moved to q & a
use something like apex or nova launcher =)

This is dependent on the launcher, and for Samsung's launcher, I don't think so.
Of course, with root explorer, all things are possible.

Without looking into the specifics of the theme you're referring to (adding a link to the theme would make it easier to research), in general icons can be one of the easier items to port.
The keyboard can also be fairly simple to bring across.
I'm not positive what dock you're referring to as I don't want to go out on a limb and give any ideas.
If you're interesting in enticing a developer to take on the task, I know personally the more information you provide, links, screenshots, specific details of which icons, etc, the easier it is to gauge the work required of the task.
The work the task requires will help a developer gauge their ability to take on the task among other factors.
Hope that helps give some rough idea of the possibility!

Some apps with tablet mode would be very useful. I know SGS2 has some tablet UI apps (like phonebook), which is great.
since no one care about this crazy request for a month..
so I'd decided to give it a try:-
