Any news on bluetooth handsfree support? (to use an android device as a BT headset)
Hello,
Anything new on the ability to use a tablet (or any android device) as a BT handsfree device? To receive and make calls with the tablet using any phone that supports BT (the tablet being seen and used as a BT headset by the phone).
Seen many threads on internet about that, but nothing recent, and no solution… So what's new in 2015? What about Android 4.4.2 and the coming Android 5?
Thank you!
I'm waiting for this as well... want nexus 7 (2013) to take and make calls from xperia z3 over bluetooth... I am happy to pay/contribute if someone can make this happen...
p.s. as per google nexus 10 has handsfree profile, maybe something from that device's rom can be taken? https://support.google.com/nexus/answer/6048862?hl=en-AU

I am not sure that this is what it means…
It says:
Hands-free profile (HFP 1.6): Allows you to use your device with Bluetooth headsets and hands-free kits.

I understand that it allows to use a hands-free kit with the Nexus 10, and not using the Nexus 10 as a hands-free device… Maybe someone with a Nexus 10 can confirm?

Prior to my recent discovery of the XDA community and others alike, I searched through Audi forums with no such luck to finding my answer.
Now that I have access to the minds of the tech world, I figured my answer might be answered quickly and correctly.
I have paired my Rezound to my car without a hitch (with ICS & CleamROM, the early GB stock acted up constantly). However, I am looking for a way, if at all possible, to upload my contacts via Bluetooth (there is a dock in the center console but I doubt they make an attachment for the Rezound). I would also like to be able to play music from my music apps such as Pandora, Google Music, etc. via Bluetooth.
I bought the car used, and I'm going to assume the software in the car (it has navi) hasn't been updated since it was first purchased.
My goal is to get a definitive answer as to whether my car is capable of either (uploading contacts via Bluetooth & streaming music via Bluetooth over the car speakers) and if so, what is needed to go about doing so (do I need to update the cars software and such or download an app or tweak some settings to make it work).
Appreciate what you guys do here, been utilizing this forum for months now and have learned a ton. Hoping to soon use my new found knowledge to help others that are new & transition for my noob status of just reading, learning & asking questions.
Sent from my Rooted, $-Off'ed, CleanROM 1.3 Dev. Edition Rezound!

W100 - add Bluetooth Handsfree Voice Gateway profile for Ford Sync?
I have a W100 and Ford Sync, the W100 can make calls but not receive them. They still go to the phone.
My old Motorola V3XX works OK. I compared the two using the bluetooth Network Scanner from Medieval Software. (Great software, too)
Looks like the W100 is missing the bluetooth Handsfree Voice Gateway profile. Is there any way to modify the bluetooth stack to add it?
Do any of you W100 owners have it working with a bluetooth speakerphone?
And here's what services are reported. Format is name, comment, unique ID and port:

Hey all,
Lately I've been trying to get my Raspberry Pi 1 Model B to connect to my phone via Bluetooth and output sound using some of the FM transmitting programs available out there. Unfortunately, the Instructables I've been trying are outdated, I'd really appreciate any help to get this project rolling. I'm also not a complete Linux noob but not an extremely advanced user either (I like to think of myself as somewhere in the middle).
Please help out if you can! Any help is greatly appreciated!
Peace,
Quaesar
I have a Samsung galaxy note 10 plus, which is rooted with magisk if that makes any difference. My car only supports calls. I want to stream my music, as though it is a call, to my car. I have considered setting up a ras pi with some program I'm sure I could make to get it to streak music it takes from the Bluetooth of my phone, to a call that is connected back to my phone and therefore coming through the car. But I would rather find some way to use only my phone. I have tried a few Bluetooth mono router apps but they are either inconsistent or don't work at all, unless I am missing something. If it makes any difference I ideally want to stream via yt music vanced however I have been testing with other apps also.
Any help much appreciated

Hello everyone, I’m and audio engineer and not a developer, but I thought you guys might be able to help me with something.
I purchased a android unit for my car (2016 Range Rover), it uses the cars factory audio system, it can mirror the stock screen to the new android screen (for access to settings and cameras), and it feeds its audio output to the Aux input of the car or Bluetooth from the android to the cars factory Bluetooth.
Everything functions beautifully, however the sound quality is terrible. There is a “DSP” screen in their GUI, when adjusting any of the parameters I can tell the DSP / EQ is possibly the cause of the issue.
I downloaded an app that shows hidden apps and found “MagicEQ” installed, I disabled it but the audio continues to sound the same.
I’m wanting to disable any processing of the audio and simply send an unmodified audio signal out of the android via it’s analog output and/or it’s Bluetooth connection.
My questions are:
-Is there anywhere else I can look to see if there are any other hidden EQ settings?
-any tips on how to find any other apps or processes that could be tampering with the audio signal?
-are there any apps that could be installed that would override any audio processing that’s currently happening?
