Hi! I looking for somone trusted who can repair my Leo (v. T-Mobile USA). Phone died after flashing new rom with incorect radio. Will be great if I could do it in Liverpool or Manchester. Please.
you could always send it to htc, , , ,all tmous are still within teh 1 year manufacturers warranty. Dont mention flashing, and it'l be fine.
Thanks for answer. I called HTC already, but one nice lady checked the IMEI said that they have reported that the phone had something done with the software a few months ago and the phone is no longer a guarantee. I bought it from other person a week ago and have no contact with that person anymore.
ahh lol, so someone was stupid enough to try sending it back without removing hspl, , d'oh!
Good luck huntiung down someone with a JTAG box and the skills to dismantle it without damage. Get talking to freelance phone repair shops.
Thanks samsamuel ! Probably you have right. You are very helpful and experienced, you realy don't know anybody who could resolve my problem? Of course not for free.
heh, no sorry. I dont know anyone in the gadget biz. If I had a problem myself, and couldnt use warranty, i'd probably buy a riff jtag box and have a go myself, , but i wouldn't want to try it on someone elses phone, i hear the hd2 is sooo easy to break when dismantling.
Hi, i have gone through multiple threads on xda and google to find a solution, but could find none. finally posting out of desperation.
I had WP7 and android from SD (through MAGLDR) on my HD2. for WP7 i had upgraded the radio to 2_14_50_04. But my data and cell phone signal kept dropping in both wp7 and android. after trying a couple of other radios, i decided to go back to an old radio. So i went into bootloader and installed 2_07_51_22_2. The install was successful and thats it, the phone went dead.
No bootloader, no lights, no vibration, no hard reset/soft reset, nothing from the phone. Tried every possible combination of keys, nothing. The only glimmer of hope is that when i connect the HD2 to the computer, it recognizes a USB input and tries to install but cannot. When i plug it out, it makes the usb disconnection sound, so i am hoping there is still some life in it.
Battery was around 80%, so cannot be battery issue (tried charging it again, no luck)
Any help please anyone. I am not able to get into the bootloader, but the usb is being recognized. is there a solution from this kind of problem?

Yep you bricked your phone. You made the mistake by flashing a .51 radio which is only for non T-mobile hd2 phone. Since you have a tmobile phone you can only flash .50 radios. Your phone now has a radio that is incompatible with it so it wont turn on. Good news is that there may be a way to unbrick it. Here is a link that may help you unbrick if you have HSPL installed which you do.

Thanks dimension. But i actually tried the steps in this link. Step 11 there asks me to put device in bootloader. But I am not able to get to the bootloader screen at all. Do you know how i can do that?
You can't.
that link is no good to you, it needs the phone to be able to power on.
There is no fix other than jtag or repair center.

You may be right, but in all hope you should still try it even tho your not able to see the boot loader screen. It may work for you because your computer detects your phone. At this point I would try anything...or cry because I can't live a day without this phone. If it does not work then send it in for repairs which would cost $100 or so, but at least you wont have to pay $250+ for another HD2.

Guys, just joined the HD2 forums as I previously had a HD. Noticed this thread and checked my new HD2 T-Mobile (UK) phone and the radio is 2.07.51.22.2 which makes a mockery of your statement regarding the .50 radio, unless I am missing something (which is always possible).
Ooops, just realised that this forum is for USA phones only. Apologies.

yup, it can get confusing in here since they split the forums

I made the rookie mistake of flashing the wrong rom too, careless on my part. I've contacted HTC Customer Support and put in for RMA, with fingers crossed they won't catch the flashing of illegal software. I know it's a long shot, but we'll see. Worst case scenario I pay for shipping and the $15 fee for them to diagnose my phone. I'll repost if successful.

Hello, this is my first time at XDA and well that is not a support forum but I need some help please. My LG V10 faded and now restarts all the time. I think it's the software but today I took it to a technician and told me he did not find support for my cell to put the software again. The problem can be solved? I need help to do it myself if necessary. I have computer skills but I've never managed a cell above. The phone cost me dearly but I buy from a friend so I can not take the official service. I live in Mexico but was originally verizon cell. HELP. THANK YOU. SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH
Hi guys, I'm James and I live in mexico. I'm Argentinean. A month ago I bought the LG V10 and then use it normally, one day I restarted the phone all the time and now stays at the logo screen. I know it is operational, the software system. But I took my phone to a technician famous city where I live repair and told me not found support for the cellular putting on new software. You think you can help me? Please . If necessary I will do it myself. What I find something silly and illogical is that he has not found support for the LG V10. Sorry for my English if there are errors. Thank you.

its 100% prcent hardware and known issue, get it replaced
I recently had my 6 month old LG5 heat up while charging and then quit. I sent it through Freedom Mobile (Vancouver) to the service support centre for LG - which is Futuretel in Ontario, Canada.
They have completed a review of the damage to my phone and have indicated that I have rooted the phone. Unfortunately I do not have the desire or the technical skill to do that to a phone. After numerous go arounds with Freedom, Futuretel and LG they are unrelenting on their assertion.
In further conversation with Futuretel today they indicate that the motherboard has a counter on it that changes as the software is manipulated - changing from zero in its state from the factory and counts every attempt to make changes. Again, let me say that I have not made any attempt to change this phone.
Can anyone help me think through this process to substantiate my claim that I have not made any attempts to change anything on this phone? Is there malicious software that could do this and affect the counter? Is it possible that the software was loaded more than once during manufacture and that would indicate changes? Do any of you really bright software/hardware people have any ideas?
Is there anyone out there that knows any answers? Surely someone knows something? I raised this up as far as I can go with LG and they keep saying that I have rooted the phone. This is absolutely ludicrous! I don't know how to ot have any desire to do it. The repair is the cost of the phone and I am absolutely choked at their insurance. I do not have the knowledge to go any further with them. HELP? Please.
I think that kind of counter thingy is for samsung phones (knox).
I think they're lying and they just don't want to repair your device.
