I just LOL'd at the image of the UL inspection doc they uploaded (I think they read my product review of their wireless charger which wasn't UL and I called them out on it). That being said they don't have a UL stamp anywhere visible on the charger brick, and since the charger doesn't come with a cable I don't see how they intend to label it as such. Part of UL is having the logo on the product as sold (You see it even as a sticker attached to cheap christmas lights), look on the Motorola QC for example you'll see the UL logo on the brick.

Part of the point of UL is for corporate purchasers and use, and insurance (They are the Underwriter's Laboratory). Many companies (for example) will not purchase a piece of electronics unless it is UL, many resellers too will not buy a non-UL product to resell. For example if Wal-Mart sold a brand of Xmas lights that were fire-hazards and burned down people's homes that weren't UL, they could well get sued UL lets them defer liability to the manufacturer. Which is why the power bricks and chargers are being sold direct via Amazon as an intermediary and you don't see them at Wally World-UL certification.
AFAIK, the item itself and its packaging need the UL logo on it for it to be official. AFAIK.

yeah no kidding, i've been skeptical on buying chargers that lack the UL Listed / CSA logos.... anyone find a muliwall QuickCharge 2.0 (or perhaps even a 3.0) charger?
I dont even mind a single QC 2.0 port with 2 or 3 "regular" usb ports - preferably higher amps.
so far i've only found single QC 2.0 wall chargers that are either UL / CSA compliant.

It looks like it comes with an HDMI cable as well. It doesn't say so in the description, but after examining the picture, it looks like the empty port is micro usb, and that is an HDMI cable that comes with the adapter. At least I hope so for that price.
I still don't think it's a good deal, cause I don't need an HDMI cable, and if I did, I wouldn't pay an extra $20 for it. Plus I all ready bought the $20 T-Mobile MHL Adapter

Yeah, now I can't find it either. I checked a few hours ago and it was there. Sometimes it wouldn't show and you would have to go back and re-pick HTC, the Sensation, then scroll down to data. But that doesn't seem to do the trick anymore, so I dunno wtf.

Thanks for the link. It seems this little thing is a hot commodity. It told me they were unable to take my order online and I would need to call it in. I'm guessing their out of stock. It sounds like you were smart to order yours before the release date of the Evo 3D.
I'll be waiting for Monoprice.com to come out with one. My guess it could probably be under $10 shipped with an HDMI cable.

but can you charge your phone at the same time with the TMO one like it appears you can with the HTC one? I'm just assuming that's a microusb port next to the HDMI port as seen in the picture.

Well, it is $35 more than the Samsung option. I found Samsung tablet cables for $5.
I really think ASUS should have included a cable to charge the dock with, i mean seriously what other device do you know of that takes a certain cable to charge it with that is not provided when you purchase the product... For the price you are paying for the dock.

Lame on ASUS's part in general with this whole situation. This is exactly how you do NOT want to launch a new product.

Argh. F you ASUS. Speak of the devil. My charger *JUST* went out after owning this thing for only about 1.5 months. Fortunately the problem seems to be the power supply and not the cable itself. I can still connect to the tablet when the cable is plugged in to the PC. I guess off to drop $30 on a replacement supply.
Look for iPad compatible supplies at Amazon/eBay - should be a cheaper solution for just the wall wart.

I don't think an iPad charger will work. Others here have suggested that at least 11v are needed to charge the transformer at a reasonable rate (see for example, DevCake's thread on DIY charging solutions).
I've got a query into Powertraveller as to whether they've got a Tip/Adaptor on the way for the EeePad Transformer - I own both a Powermonkey and a Powergorilla.
It is annoying that they're using a proprietary connector!

Made worse by the fact that replacement cables are super hard to come by. Why would you make a proprietary cable... knowing damn well that everyone is going to want replacements, especially since the one they give you is only two feet long... and then not make them easily available to purchase?

The best thing you could get with this would be a screen protector for the Sensation, since theirs and ours are the exact same size screen. Anything else we could really get from this? Not at the 2 tmo retail stores I went to today w/coupon in hand. At one the rep was demoing his Sensation so I went to the car and grabbed my tmo mhl adapter and showed him what it was and he said where did I get it and I pointed at their webpage saying it was under Sensation accessories but it had been pulled off their website. He was a bit disappointed about that and tried to push the microusb hdmi to hdmi full-size cable but I pointed out to him that neither his Sensation nor my 3vo had that port and then he realized what the mhl adapter really was about at that point.

to start with, many people dont need a bluetooth or other expensive accessory. secondly, why not print off two or three or ten coupons and just purchase things at different stores, or on different days if you want more than one thing.

I just went to a tmobile by me used coupon and got the mhl adapter for $10.81. They had it I. stock and had plenty and it works great. Just ask for the hdmi adapter for the HTC sensation. They knew what I was talking about. It says universal hdmi adapter on the package.

charge timing a bit longer than original one，I dont mind.I recommended because it smart good design product ，security ，no heating while charging. charge to android phones ，iphone4 as well except ipad2.

Thanks for the reply. As far as I know they should be interchangeable. Considering that the power supply is generic in terms voltage, just the tip out differs for what region of the world it is used.
I searched high and low for the US connector to no avail - I'm sure it's out there somewhere. Thanks again.

Found a cheap oem charger here. Don't know the company though, so order at your own risk.

In my search last night I found the part for the US detachable tip.
Manufacture Well Shin, part number: WS-069-N.
A Tawainese based company that I guess supplies international connectors for power supplies. Apparently you can't just order one from them directly.
This same topic was also discussed in the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 forum, with similar results - users having to buy a whole new charger, which is silly.

I got excited thinking it was the Nokia charging stand but no just the plate. They go for $30 new everywhere but full retail is like $45. Wish it was the stand for that price!
Got one of these and after putting some magnets in it to hold the phone in place and using some 2 sided tape to hold it to my desk its great. Only beef if that it does not use a normal USB cable but I swapped out the plugs so I can use my micro USB cable. But if you use this you will need to keep the stock ac adapter as it is 12 volts and remember not to use that to charge up your phone wired.
Great charger and the sweet sport for the DNA on it is huge.

I'd love to replace my bulkie Nokia adapter with a USB brick.
Ditto. My cat chewed my Nokia cable which is pretty much impossible to replace on it's own (I've tried contacting Nokia a few times and they've been unhelpful) so my charger is useless. If only this thing used a USB cable...
Basicly you just order the female ends online. Check the pin out. Pin 1 is power. Pin 4 is ground. Just desolder the stock jack solder the new micro USB in. Epoxy it down to hold it the trim the case to fit the new plug. I'll get some pics and part numbers and make a guide and post it when I get a chance.

I've got a couple of these, one for work and one for home. I don't think they look that great and the wall wart is huge, but they're well made and they do the job.

last time this happened, i went via the employee discount page from work, and it took another 50% off (12.50 total).
It works great, even w/ the diztronic case.
Went ahead and ordered from AT&T. It'll be nice to not have to deal with the plug!
I love mine and got it from at&t I wish they had more colors but for the price it can't be beat. Been using mine for a month no problems so far * knock on wood*.

Mine came the very next day. So far I'm very pleased with it. Very convenient... The only possible issue I see with it is the charging light never goes out even though the phone is fully charged.
