I'm a newbie to the Android flashing and rooting thing. Anyway I own a HP 7 voice tab and I wanna install a CUSTOM ROM which is CM12(Lollipop)
My question is CAN WE FLASH ANY CUSTOM ROM TO ALL THE ANDROID POWERED TABS AND PHONES ?
Can I use the normal method to unlock my bootloader ? Do I need to root my Tab in order to flash a custom ROM ?

You can only flash ROMs made for your device. Don't try and flash custom ROMs made for other devices. The procedure for unlocking your bootloader also depends on the device, so I'd search around to see if anyone else has done it.

hi everyone I want to install a custom rom like nougat or marhsmallow on my zenfone asus 5 ,I'm not a pro when it comes to upgrading and installing stuff on android only thing I have done by myself was rooting this phone so curious if there is any easy guide that shows how to do custom rom thing? thanks in advance

Need help for a custom rom compatible with my device. It runs on MediaTek's MT6580, i already flash TWRP v3.0.2 but have not rooted it yet since I need to flash a custom rom, my reason is to remove bloatware and solve my flickering screen. I understand that i by running on custom rom, I would be able to stop my screens from flickering. I would like to install CM13.1 or Lineage OS but I want to ask some experts here first if there's much better ROM that I can use from your recommendations.

Another inquiry regarding porting custom rom, I found some roms dedicated for MT MK6850 devices i flashed it directly to my phone (stock rom) but I get an error 7, my question is do I need to port it to my device? If so, I understand that you need a custom rom compatible for my device as Base and the custom rom I want as port, how to do it if i am from a stock rom?

I have searched online for any custom ROM or any custom recovery and I couldn't find any I face a lot of problems with the stock ROM and I can't change the phone so please anyone can help me out ? I don't own a personal computer so I can't follow any ROM porting guide and I got 0% knowledge in coding I just want the phone to work better if possible I want to run android 5 - 6 - 7 if possible since I have seen lineage is and so on
If not possible even 4.4 would be okay I tried to flash a lot of Roms/ custom recovery but they didn't work and now its running or the stock rom and thanks in advance
