FLYME OS ROM FOR GALAXY NOTE 3ββ
BASED ON ANDROID VER.4.4.4 KITKATββNOTE :
This Rom isn't developed by me. All credits to the original developer, g00h. Since, this rom's original thread was made in Note 3 N9005 forum, so i thought of sharing this here. Well, i just wanted to share this rom so that you guys may also indulge the smoothness which this rom offers.
Well, this rom is super snappy and fast, and no doubt i am still loving this rom since the day i installed it on my phone.
Here is the link to the thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...official-galaxy-note3-n900x-kk-4-4-4-t3036124
Thank you,
Saif

As i mentioned in the video, s-pen features don't work with this rom brother.
Downloaded & installed rom but no mobile data & no APNs? I still get texts & can make calls, though no MMS & Internet? Tried searching through the original thread but nothing spoken about on there. Am I missing something?

I saw many t-mobile users there too having no issues so far.
You can see this post either : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58992159&postcount=56
I guess the problem with guys is the old bootloader.

Rom looks superb, thanks for sharing my man.
Would need to have data, mms, sms working before I would flash this.
Nice to see a new Rom for our beloved phone.
If someone gets it all working please post.
Again, thank you.
UPDATE: Flashed this Rom, manually entered APN, did *#*#4636#*#* set data to LTE/CDMA autoprl and ALL is working. Internet, text, picture messaging, calls.
This Rom is bad ass.
Gps does not work!

What were the APN settings you entered because what I try doesn't seem to work, though I'm pretty sure it may be outdated information.

My busy day just started or else I would, I figured if we were flashing this then one was capable of doing this on their own, lol.
if someone could post the APN info for this gentleman, it would be stellar.
edit1/;
Or, to do this yourself. Go find APN manager.apk from google, download and install, open, tap on the apn that is green and hit the pen at the top right. Copy info (from current rom with working data and all) and input this info into the flyme Roms APN settings. At the bottom of the apn, where it asks apn protocal put ipv4/ipv6 and for apn type put default, mms, supl, hipri.
i remember those two^ as apn manager doesnt give that info. Oh and bearer needs to be Set to LTE. Once done, do *#*#4636#*#* set to lte/cdma autoprl, reboot and profit.

This ROM is based CE OS 5.2.21040 (Build 21040.1.6.0). ROM dump for Rhodium test device.
TF3D2 is included but needs to be updated with the update patch from Xboxmod.
Please test bluetooth, bluetooth headset, activesync, GPRS, and all other basic functions. Please do not post about Manila bugs. I know it gives an error when it first boots and will fix it in a couple of hours.
Just want the basic functions of the phone tested for now to make sure it works.
Thanks!

DOH!
Forgot to add the link in my haste to get to class
Ill try and help you out here since Im a fan of your work, but if you just want the basic functions of the phone tested for now, why not use the first version of TF3D so that it eliminates the current TF3D UI errors. Then, when you want to test out to see how friendly the Rhodium TF3D is with this build, then include it for us to test? That way, if there are bugs we would be able to distinguish if its related to the new build/base rom or its its related to the Rhodium TF3D.
At0mAng,
Looking forward to the surprise awaiting in this ROM.
Keep it up dude.

No problem and thank you. I just uploaded a new version that has BT drivers in it. For some reason the ROM dump did not have BT drivers with it and I noticed it after I posted the link and after qsqa mentioned it to me

I've only used ROMeOS over my past few phones and then a little RRE action but since I've used some of your cabs, the most recent one being the agps settings, and I think have some with your name in them on my site, maybe you know what time it is so what the hell, slow day at work, I'll flash yours even though I was up until 4am last night flashing and perfecting the latest RRE. Gotta have the bleeding edge!
Also I want to lock this useless post on your thread nice and early because if it's as pimp tight as I think it might be I'd like to give you a super silly fresh fast mirror and want to link it here.
[edit] here's that mirror.
Here's to us.

Well, the first thing, and this may be something I'm doing, but I ran connection setup but I have no signal and when I try to open up the phone dialer it gives me the cprog.exe error. I'll edit this post if I find anything else.

Download it again...This version should give no errors...sorry.
I can not test any of the phone functions...phone is broke...I think we all know the story
Just so everyone knows...this is a rough beta...still need to clean sys and do some of my tweaking to it. Clean up icons and such...so be advised it is nowhere near to a finish product.
Okay, will reflash in a moment. Why are all of the Chef's phones breaking? My phone breaks, no cares but me, your phone breaks and all of us flashing addicts are lost! NATF broke his too!

Thanks...i know all about the new apps. as i said my phone is broke and i want to make sure the basic functions are working before i start porting the apps.
just want to make sure all basic functions are working. bluetooth headsets, activesync, wireless lan and other basic functions.
i have a new build to post when i am done with classes today...
So far, so good. All of the basic features I have tried, worked as normal. I was able to connect to my bluetooth headset, phone calls have been made, texts have been sent. I entered in my connection settings and have been surfing the net on Opera. Anything else specific that you'd like me to test?

Yeah, BT has worked fine on multiple calls both in and out. The only thing I can't help you with is wifi, mine hasn't worked since I started flashing roms and I have yet to find a fix for it. ActiveSync works fine also.
At0mAng,
One quick question - does this ROM include any time bomb.

Yes...I did not hex edit the shell.exe yet...I am still building this. I am basically going through all the DLLs and EXEs one by one to see what can be used and what cant be used. Before I went through all that trouble I wanted to see if all the hardware functions were working correctly.
Does anyone know what file and what encryption (type 7 or MD5) are the wireless network passwords stored. I would like to recover this file/ or passwords before I flash the new Froyo build.
If this is straight forward I will write an App to pull this file/Passwords.
Thanks in advance,

Wrong section. In fact, this is probably the wrong forum all together... Why would you need to pull the network passwords for your own network? Just enter them again after flashing. If you don't know your network info, reset your router.

You see I have an extensive list of Wi-Fi networks that I traverse (i.e. Mother's house, GF's house, several buddies, work...) This list seems to grow the longer you run a ROM. This has always been one of the down sides to flashing frequent ROMs. In fact, I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets frustrated having to do this all the time.
WRT your comment about the placement of this post: I plain on creating my first app using Google Inventor. And this is the development section.. Seemed like the logical placement.
Edit: Actually, now that I think about, I will look to backup/ restore all Wi-Fi configuration.

Although the App Inventor seems like a simple WYSIWYG app creation tool, I think it would be perfect for something as simple as what the OP is trying to create.
I also would find this useful though as I also have a large list of access points I hate having to reprogram after every flash.
I'm with ya. I had a nice long list of APs with passwords saved and would love to be able to restore them FROYO does this automatically with its backup and restore settings. I agree this is a great idea.

Don't get me wrong... I can certainly see a use for this kind of app now that I see the reason behind it, but I consider App Inventor to be a joke.

I agree. App inventor is a great idea, but at the same time, it's a disgrace to all of the developers who have put so much time and effort into creating quality apps.
I plan on using AI myself, but it will never replace the quality apps that are on the market, and I have nothing but respect for those guys.

They're stored in "/data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf". They're not encrypted at all, in fact.
You do need root to read this file, though.
(wpa_supplicant is a standard Linux utility for configuring and managing wifi interfaces)
Ok...so for all of you who have been sending me PM's for the test build if its perfect or not. I shall post a small video to show you YES !! it is Mango Beta 1.
Download Link has been added at the bottom of the post
Couple of things to mention:-----
1) Its still Beta
2) The Marketplace doesn't work
3) HTC Hub doesn't come pre installed and also searching the marketplace
gives no results
4) Mango is said to support HTML5 but this build unfortunately doesn't as
shown us in the Mango HTML5 Speed Reading.
5) Nothing I can think of.....
By user: GameDr04
1) As with any unlocked phone, the APN isn't pre-programmed into the phone so it has to be added. It's a LITTLE annoying since T-Mobile has three from which to choose. All three show "3G" in the status bar but only one truly connects. It was epc.voicestream.com
2) Toggling the data radio causes the phone to freeze then reboot about 60% of the time.
3) As mentioned, the Marketplace doesn't work when you try to install something. But it does work for multimedia - I bought some music last night without issue.
Video
I forgot to show you Multitasking lol Sorry !!

Remember the fall release of Mango by Microsoft with more than 500 new features ??
backlashsid, I'd like to add to your list, if I may. I'm running Beta 2 on my HD2 at the moment. There are some additional problems.
1. as with any unlocked phone, the APN isn't pre-programmed into the phone so it has to be added. It's a LITTLE annoying since T-Mobile has three from which to choose. All three show "3G" in the status bar but only one truly connects. For me, it was epc.voicestream.com

3. As you mentioned, the Marketplace doesn't work when you try to install something. But it does work for multimedia - I bought some music last night without issue.
4. .....there was something else and for the life of me, I can't remember what it was! If I do, I'll post it.
Overall, I LOVE MANGO! The groups feature is amazing. And messaging: above and beyond. The whole OS just seems snappier.

thanks for the tip !!! i shall add them to the first post !!
Oh! I remembered! I can't seem to get MMS to work - at all. The messaging service just says "Can't sent. Contact your service provider for settings". I've tried all of T-Mobile's published APNs but none of them works.
//edit
OK. I figured it out.
I had to DevUnlock my DFT Mango installation through Microsoft (not with Chevron but rather legitimately). Then, I could side-load HTC's Connection Setup XAP. Running that solved my data and MMS problems.
Also, the DevUnlock allowed me to upgrade from DFT's Beta 1 to MS's Beta 2.
Happy testing!

To attempt to clear up the confusion around the beta number...
It's a little bit of typo mixed in with my buried hopes and dreams.

That was the e-mail I got from Microsoft a few days ago. I read that as Beta 2... Then, when I got my hands on DFT's release, I assumed it was Beta 2. But now that I've actually LOOKED at the versioning, I realized that DFT's is older.
What kills me the most is I CAN'T FIND THAT E-MAIL ANYMORE! I have that one picture 'cause I sent it to a friend of mine but the e-mail itself is GONE.

I'm interested to know if there is such a feature on Mango that would let me insert quick replies in the middle of a particular sms thread or conversation? And if there is any way to edit or create "reply" templates...
Thanks, would appreciate your feedback
I just looked and I couldn't find one. There's a chance it could be in there but I just couldn't find it...
It seems like in the video multitouch issue is fixed? Or is it still buggy as in previous version (Nodo)?
After spending a lot of hours trying to get this to work, the method is very simple.....
Make sure to Thank @c45h2012 HERE
Apparently go here for this info. It's already been posted. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=55707846
All credit goes there.
Disclaimer: You are doing this on your own. You MAY incur extra charges if Sprint see's unusual activity on your Plan.
Important:
1. This will only work on LTE/eHrpd. It does not work on CDMA. So in Settings if you have it on CDMA it will not work.
2. You will need to reapply this after a profile/prl update.
3. It will still work after a reboot
Let's get started:
1. Download "Shortcut Master Lite" from the Playstore
2. Open it and select "Search"
3. Type in "APN"
4. Select the 4th setting

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
5. Select "Internet"
6. Scroll to "APN type" and type in "dun".
7. Select "Save"
8. Profit!!!!
There is nothing else we need to do. No extra files , nothing
This works with Barren, Stock ZV4 and Xposed. I'm not sure about the other ROM's.
Again, Make sure to Thank @c45h2012 HERE
I have modified APN's, tried the services.odex, and nothing worked. This works everytime!!
Thanks. This is the method I've used suggested from a previous post and works flawlessly

And with all the questions, comments about it nobody put it out there? lol
I'm not taking credit for it. But I did put it out there for everyone to see/do. Wished you'd done it sooner.
It works. I has a happy.

From what I can tell, we don't use cinet.spcs. But n-ispsn calls LTE/eHRPD, but not CDMA.
So if I understand your question....Yes. And Thank you
I'm saying I changed then both lol
hey sorry if this is completely unrelated but im wanting to plug my phone into my ubuntu desktop and share my wifi it says i cannot, will this allow me to do this? Im using barren... thanks btw
I am curious as to why such a simple edit makes the hotspot work. What is significant "dun'?

Make sure you're not set to CDMA. Or if your service is only CDMA then this probably won't work.

You won't see an ehrpd option. You'll see that under About>Status, I think.
If you select CDMA in network settings, that's all you'll get. If you select LTE/CDMA it'll select whatever is available in your market/area. CDMA/EHRPD/LTE.
great it works , thank you very much
So that is ****ing outstanding! Thank you!
When i try to launch that fourth option after searching, I'm getting this error:
/data/data/org.vndnguyen.shortcutmaster.lite/cache/run[2]: su: not found
Can anyone help?

Sounds like your not Rooted. Su is a superuser request. Root with stump and then download supersu and enable it.
Didn't realize you had to be rooted for this to work. Thanks for the tip!

Well let's see.... I'll take the higher road.
1. First off, I suggest you talk to me in a little better manner. So don't expect an apology.
2. I never saw that thread before. Not everybody visits all the forums.
I have ALWAYS given credit when I get info from somewhere.
3. As you might be able to see, I MADE THIS FROM SCRATCH. And I made it for Sprint. If I had known it worked, or was posted in other forums, do you really think I'd take the time to write this out myself?
After rewriting this 4 times now.... I'm tapping out.
Edit. Op updated

vey good. now improved a lot.
except this.
You can't post battery stats with less than a day use of rom, have some respect for the Developer, the Rom is not fully stable yet and a lot of kinks need to be worked out, if you want a stable rom, go for a nougat rom, if you want to Oreo, be happy with what you are getting at this stage and stop whining
Thanks to Frankie for this excellent work!
Everything works very good - GBoard as well.
I only have one question: I want to decompile the SystemUI.apk to translate the settings (String) to german.
apktool.jar (2.2.4) doesn't work - smali folder won't extract so recompiling doesn't work as well.
Does someone know how to decompile/recompile the system apps from this ROM?
Thanks in advance!

I'm not posting about overall battery life. It's a kernel wakelock problem, it's not going to go away on its own. It's a bug that the dev may or may not know about. He wouldn't have made a thread if he didn't want bug reports. So quit YOUR whining

I believe I found a bug. When setting up hotspot, 2.4GHz works just fine. When setting up 5GHz, I get error when turning on hotspot. See screenshot.
If I need to provide more info, please share.. I am on Verizon latest radio and bootloader, latest TWRP. Flashed ROM, BusyBox, and Magisk.
EDIT: I understand the ROM is new and appreciate the hard work if the developer. Helping out best I can.

Thanks for reporting the bug. Im not sure why people think that's frowned upon in a developnent thread....

Help the dev by taking a logcat and posting it,

It's all about context and tone. Some "bug reports" come across as entitled whining, or outright complaints with no respect for the developer or the work that's been invested.
For anyone looking for busybox, this is a direct link on XDA. https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4252596&d=1503713259 It covers Busybox version 1.2.7 and is Magisk 14 compatible.
Here's what should be done for all you noobs. If there is a bug and u want to report it, attach a logcat. Otherwise how will they see the error being replicated?
I will capture a logcat of the 5 GHz wifi when I get home.
i was able to solve the BT battery problem by disabling instant tethering under settings ->google->instant tenthering

I do believe the OP said to clean flash. You can back up and try and if you have issues, go back and do the wipes and clean install. Good luck.

Does Android Pay work? I remember NFC not working alongside Bluetooth and now that Bluetooth is fixed, can someone confirm NFC/Android Pay function as well now?
