Hello,
When I was flashing my phone yesterday, something went wrong, and my phone isn't working very well(i guess ). So, i have had Android 4.1.2 on stock non-brand ROM. I've decided ,that i will upgrade it to CM 10 , which has nightly builds. There were no errors during instalation and after reboot i have seen my CM ROM working. BUT, i haven't got any GSM connection, and phone was saying, that "there were errors on refreshing networks list" or smth similiar. I've decided to install baseband switcher from L7 device ( i know, stupid decision .. ) in recovery . I did it, and after reboot i got stripes on my screen. I thinked, that it's bricked, but when I plugged in USB cable to my computer, android boots and , have normal desktop with all features enabld, BUT i don't have ability to go to Emergency mode or Recovery mode ( stripes, stripes everywhere ) . What shall i do, is there a small chance to restore my phone from adb in eclipse, or smth ?

My friend Eclipse is used to build android apps,in our case(Eclipse application is a plug-in that creates an extension for the extension point,to create applications in java form)... http://wiki.eclipse.org/FAQ_What_is_an_Eclipse_application?
As for the bricked phone, its not bricked if it comes on,its called a soft brick and can be fixed by reinstalling a recovery, then a rom that is compatible with your phone.
Diablo 7 is right as your phone is booting up then you are having soft brick it happens to lot of people what you have to do is just flash custom recovery through pc and look for some compatible rom and flash it via recovery
Total brick means it will not boot up it cannot be detected by USB it's boot got corrupt

Ok, thanks for your reply. The thing is, I can't go to recovery or emergency mode, so I think, that i can't use flash tool. What kind of tools, do you mean, which can help me?
EDIT:
Ok, i got it works, First I uninstalled all drivers from my OS, then installed it again from LGMobileSupportTool and using Emergency System Recovery make it works. I'm glad to have Android 4.1.2
Thanks for your replies.
How to do it?
I have the same problem. Can you give me a step-by-step method on how to do it. Thank you very much?
I have just received my Iocean X7 Elite and was about to install a new rom. I had successfully rooted the device and then was trying to flash
the recovery with SP Flash Tool.
After the recovery flashed my phone refuses to turn on I believe its somehow bricked but have no idea how this could have happened. I did
format flash i only downloaded the recovery to the device.
In Device Manager when i plug the phone it it either shows up as 'DA USB VCOM Port' or 'MTK USB Port'.
When I try to use SP Tool to flash the stock Rom back onto the device I get an error saying 'BROM ERROR : S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL(4032)'
I have no idea what to do next can someone help me.
I have tried what this thread suggests:
bump
same as u..but differ phone model.(N9589)
had a few upgrd...til the recent brick it.
Tried a few version of flash tool and still the same

Same problem here - tried to install stock firmware and got this error...
these are common problems when flashing MT65xx based phones,
ie : error 4008, 4xxx, 5xxx whatever those codes mean, no explanation after extensive search on google.
once I managed to flash this one phone successfully, but I don't know exactly what I did.
as long as I recall, I tried to delete the whole flashtool folders, re-extract them, let the phone cool down a bit
and oh, try to press volume up, or down button (varies on devices) while connecting to USB, once the flashing progress bar starts, release the button.
In the flashtool option, at the OPTIONS-->DA DOWNLOAD ALL-->, check WITHOUT BATTERY.
and in the option, DA DOWNLOAD ALL--> SPEED, check DO NOT SWITCH SPEED.
try flashing your phone without battery inserted, it works many times for me.
NOTE : BEWARE, flashing your MTK65xx based phone, sometimes this tool tried to REMOVE YOUR PHONE's IMEI information, so take caution !
I haven't managed how to prevent IMEI removal when flashing those phones, because I'm not a developer.
Hope this helps.

Thank you for your reply, but this doesn't help... ;(
Anyone?
I think I figured out that the error above means you are trying to flash an incorrect ROM. Make sure you are using the right one and also make sure you're using the latest version of sp flash tool.
Once I downloaded a later version of the flash tool it began installing the ROM but then a different error appeared.
So I formatted the nand with the sp flash tool.
Then I flashed the stock ROM again and it worked
Formatting it seemed to make the errors go away even though its advised not to do so.

I tried reinstalling drivers, also tried other drivers, but this doesn't help...
I've had the same problem with the following installation Sp Tools
SP_Flash_Tool_exe_v3.1316.0.150
Rom: MP_mt89_v9_iocean_ousheng_jb2_20130520-184014_zhongyeqing_PC

Iocean X7 Youth
I don't have the same problem but i flashed the latest version of official rom for iOcean x7 Youth : 03 july 2013 : and wtf no more internal sdcard only the rom stockage. So i can't download anything, i can't use camera .
On the official website, I read that before flashing the 20 may 2013 rom one and the 03 July 2013 one, your baseband version have to be 23/04 or higher( you have to flash the 23/04 official rom first). This is only avalaible for the YOUTH version.
So tomorrow i will try what i said below to see if i have internal sd card again.
noob question::: since the iocean x7 young and turbo are the same phones...only different clock rates...will flashing the firmware for turbo on iocean x7 young work??assuming that the mtk6589T and mtk6589 are the same chipset only different clock rates??

Clearly: Wrong driver. I had also this error. SPflash tool did not readback. I did not flash anything! I fixed this by showing the nonpresent devices in devicemanagement (google for show nonpresent devices for explanation)
Go to com ports, and delete all mediatek drivers except preloader driver. Now start over. It can help if you choose the same usb port where you had success last time.
SP flash tool shows in the statusbar which driver it is using.

hi! i have cubot s208(a) . i rooted, yes. my problem with the phone was it was slow and laged specially watching videos. everyday i could do nothing but restart it. so i thought nice hardware but the problem must be rom or kernel so i decided i install custom rom. but there are no for this phone exept i found on this site miui v5. i did some backup with MTKdroid tools.(image is still on my pc,but unfortunatelly not on my phone) i put miui rom on internal card,i went to cwm there i wiped cache and data...install miui zip file all no problem, but after reboot on cubot logo some funny colours and then just black screen...nothing else happens. i went to cwm again tried restore but no backup there.i tried install backup with MTKdroid tools, but phone wont be recognized. i tried put images from pc to sd card but it wont work.i tried flash tools,i downloaded 2 firmware stock roms (unfortunately they aint zip) but again flash tools wont work because it wont connect with phone.(with usb cable) if i just connect phone with pc it auto turns him on.i tried zipping those 2 roms, but after trying in cwm it says install aborted (way i figured i need real stock rom but in zip file) funny no way i can find it.only roms that i can use with flashtools.
so...anyone knows what can i do please say
edit
i fixed it
somehow i suceeded installing mobistel cynus driver (for usb) then i went to sp flash tools. there was other problems... but there i first format phone.then just flash preloader.then everything else.et voila!only problem left is invalid imei.but i guess it will be easy to fix, right now i go to sleep.last 30 hours i slept 6 hours, other time i spent on pc.hope i help somebody.dont forget to backup your phones!
good night and good fight!
Hello everyone, I have a problem with Bell sgs2 and I'm from Ukraine,so please sorry for my English.
A little bit of history: my sister from Canada closed her contract with bell and sent me the phone. As it turned out, device was still locked, so I tried to download the latest firmware and make unlock. Firstly I tried to unlock the phone running Android 2.3.3 with custom kernel by using galaxy_S unlock app, it was succesful, but I wanted latest firmware and tried to flash different unofficial ROMs. Every time I did it nothing happened because of different errors.
Problem starts here:
Then installed rooted official ROM Android ICS with Odin and noticed that in Kies there was an update for my device. Tried to install it, but it failed when the phone was in download mode (because of damaged usb cable maybe). In Kies they wrote that I should disconnect device and take out battery. I did it.
Now when I turn it on it stops on Samsung logo. I still can open download mode or stock recovery, which is great. But the problem is that Odin doesn't recognize the phone anymore while it is in download mode. Tried to uninstall, install drivers - nothing happened. The good thing is that I can see my phone with adb when it is in recovery, tried to install some zips from sideload or external sd card - nothing happened ( Error, status 7). So basically I can't install official md5 ROM from sammobile because of Odin and can't find normal zips for recovery.
Please help Will be grateful!!!
Hello everyone
Well they say you should not mess with thing you do not perfectly know about exactlt same thing happen to me. Well i have Mediatek device MTK6582 running kitkat v4.4.2, i was trying to root it but to no avail. So finally i read a post here about how every phone can b formated by installing CWM/TWRP recovery and then installing the SU binary using custom recovery installed. Ok i followed this method.
1) Made a backup using MTK droid tools of following locations (i still have that backup).
a)PRELOADER
b)MBR
c)EBR1
d)BOOTIMG
e)SEC_RO
f)LOGO
g)EBR2
h)ANDROID
2)Created ROM file.
3)Processed the ROM file for sp flash tool.
4)While processing the ROM file MTK droid tools was unable to make a CWM recovery file.
5)I do not know why but i formatted my recovery partition using sp droid tool.
6)When i tried to put recovery backup to its place sp flash tool would not do that.
So i left my phone as is it for sometime untill i ran out of space and no more apps could be installed. So i decided to format the USRDATA block. This is where things went really bad. I guess in sp flash tools i did not write the correct end, adress i wrote the size of that block it was 0051400000 on MTK droid tools , iguess i should have wrote the starting adress of next block. After format my phone would not start. It was stuck on manufacturer's logo.So on a different PC i downloaded all the stuff i mean drivers sp flash tools MTK droid tools etc. And tried installing my phones recovery, and this time it was installed perfectly.I went into my recovery wiped all user data and phone started normally untill i realised that no network was there and a "No SIM card" notification was there. So i did a factory reset thinking maybe it would help. But again phone was stuck on manufacturer's logo. And this time i would not even enter the recovery (it would show as if it is entering recovery i mean the animation stuff that shows when it enters in the recovery and then the phone would restart and stuck again). So i reinstalled the complete backup of all blocks that i have mentioned above. And phone switched on successfully. But again no "SIM card detected".
So i googled, and in Last 24 hours i tried everything i could find there (alright maybe not everything but most of "everything".And i also have a successfully rooted my phone.
Here are my observations
1) When i connect my phone with MTK droid tools it shows no IMEI.
2) MTK droid tools also shows no baseband.
3) Settings>About phone>Status>IMEI information shows No IMEI for both SIM cards.
4)In factory mode where there are all the tests and stuff shows the actual IMEI's of my device But no SIM card.(Note: No IMEI in settings).
5)In ES file explorer data/nvram shows a lot of files and folders its not empty.
Here is what i have already tried.
1) Tried restoring IMEI using MTK droid tools.
2) Making new MP0B_001 using imei.exe
3)Installing my backup for second time.
Right now i am do not know what to do next.Any help i would gretly appreciate.Sorry for long post when i wanted to clear so that you can suggest something. Thanks
