[Q] FTP client that would preserve files' time stamps for Android? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi.
Can anybody recommend a FTP file transfer client for Android?
ES File Explorer is otherwise great, but it doesn't keep files' date/time information for copied files.

"ES File Explorer" can transfer files from/to network shares (Windows/Samba). AndFTP is an ftp/ftps/sftp client. SwiFTP is an ftp server.

[Q]How to connect to ftp servers using phone?

How to connect to ftp servers using phone?
Use Solid Explorer or ES File Explorer from Play Store.
I used the file explorer but I cant connect to my pc. There is only a server option, I want to connect as client so i can copy files from my pc. thanks
Use Total Commander with the FTP plugin
I'm sure that Solid Explorer works as a client, I'm using it It's also great file managerm, maybe even the best free one.

Bluestack: How can I transfer files into folders in SDcard w/o using SharedFolder?

Hello,
I am facing a problem and maybe you can help me.
How can i access a folder within the SDcard of Bluestacks with my Windows Explorer?
For example: I have a folder directing to and called SDcard/Games and I want to transfer files from the Windows Explorer directly to THAT specific folder and not by using the SharedFolder.
The thing is that on Regedit you can change the Key defining the Path Bluestacks accesses files on your PC in Windows Explorer, but there is no way to change the pre-defined Path which directs from the PC (Windows Explorer) to Bluestack's SharedFolder.
Basically I just want to set my own Path to which my files I transfer from Windows Explorer to Bluestack are send and not the one that comes with installation (SDcard/windows/SharedFolder)

Can't open files from network shares in ES File Explorer - Failed to copy the file

I have used ES File Explorer pro on all my devices before getting the MediaPad M5, and I have been able to open files on network shares just by tapping them. This has been good for reading comics and magazines, playing music, sideloading apk's etc. But on the M5, any time I try to open a file, I get an error message "failed to copy file". So I have to physically copy files to the M5 and then open them from there. This isn't an issue with apk's but I have to locally store all the comics, mags and music.
Can anyone suggest a fix for this?
Just downloaded a file to from a website, used ES File Explorer Pro to copy it from the downloads folder on my device and paste it into a networked Windows shared folder. Everything went as expected.
Tried to copy the same file back to another folder on my device and I get the 'failed to copy the file' message. Which is annoying.
I can't rename files in a network folder either.
