[Q] GPS not working after Echoe Rom v29 - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

I recently flashed Echoe Rom v29 on my galaxy s4 i545. So far I have only found a couple of things that do not work. The wifi being one of them but that was fixed with gogolies wifi fix thanks to meazz1. The other thing that does not seem to be working is the gps. I have tried flashing a new modem as well as using different apps. I have also tried flashing GPS_mod(8NTP). Nothing has seemed to help. My GPS updates enough to show current location but when I try and use navigation it just says searching using gps and it wont lock on. Since flashing Echoe rom my model number has changed from i545 to GT-I9505 and my build number has changed from I545VRUFNK1 to I545VRUFNC2. Im not sure what else I can try. Any help will be greatly appreciated thanks.
PS. Everytime I try and use GPS Fix in the Echoe Customization Center it just says Failure, please try again.

You reflashed v29? What modules and nk2 patch did you flash? it seems that most of the newer versions have issues with mms and gps and my mms works on 29. Thanks.

I flashed v39.1 with safestrap.
These are file I flashed.
echoe-39.1.zip
patch_nk2-ds-test.zip
jfltevzw-nc5-module.zip

[Q] Wi-fi Toggle Switch is disabled :(

Hello Team,
I have been a silent follower of this website and have rooted my SGSII 6 months ago. Everything was working absolutely fine with no problems.
Very recently I upgraded my build to 4.2.2 JDQ39 with Kernel Version: 3.0.64-CM. My wireless is not working at all. I am not even able to turn on the wifi option.
I tried installing the below ROMs to check the functionality:
ThinkingBridge
Paranoid
Resurrection.
None of the above worked.
I'd request anyone in this thread to give me a workaround or a solution to fix this thing.
Thank you
Harry

Anyone in this forum has experienced this issue before me? Please advice.
Do a clean (format everything in CWM first, then use Odin) install of stock & see if the problem persists. Tho you've tried these other roms, you might have left something funky behind from one of them (just doing a wipe may not get rid of this) that has persisted.
If you have no problems with stock, try another install of the custom rom of your choice & see how you go.
Or maybe even try a completely different kernel before you do the stock thing. Try Siyah/Dorimanx maybe ?

Thank you for your quick response. The first link you posted was the last ROM I had tried. Before posting, I have also tried multiple international roms using your first patch plus your updated patch for heavy themed roms. The only thing i have not tried to flash is diffrent modems. Is there an easy way I can tell what modem I am on?

[Q] KitKat Roms WiFi Issue

Okay so I recently decided to to upgrade to the 4.4.2 KitKat root through this video http://youtu.be/AIRoQKTLeJQ and I was running the stock deodexed rom that was provided. I then looked up some compatible custom roms and came across several that were supposedly compatible with NC5 and Safestrap 3.72. However, on most of them (Echoe Rom, Bajarom, Phoenix Rom, etc) the wifi does not turn on even after rebooting. Bajarom it would work (it would take FOREVER to turn on though) until after I restored my nandroid backup (just data) from before I upgraded to 4.4.2 via the video. Then the wifi function would stop... Echoe Rom and Phoenix Rom both had a Galaxy S5 port that had S5 apps, themes, etc. These ones wouldn't have any network access at all. WiFi and 4G would not work. I would still have a signal so I could send texts and call people. I tried flashing modules and modems and NC5 fixes but nothing would work... Does anybody know how to fix this WiFi problem?? Or does anybody know of a good, clean, custom TouchWiz rom that has working wifi? This would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Did you flash modules after rom? That's the only way your wifi is going to work.
Check out giglies NC2 wifi fix and see if that helps: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23487008491963696
Yea I tried the modules and they didn't help. But thanks! I'll give this a shot.

Yea, I tried it last night. I was desperate and was on the verge of just reflashing the stock rom. Luckily that fixed worked, havent experienced any problems.

Stock rom, just rooted.
Is it safe to flash a custom rom like CM11? I upgraded my phone to 4.4.2 NC5 through ODIN, then did the Towel root and flashed Safestrap.
I dont think so.

Yea. I was going to reflash it to get back the stock kernel. I just got the phone so I didnt have much info to lose and I was in a rush and could't find a solution in the kernel thread. I see people asking about losing wifi, but no one posts any solutions.

So the wifi fix worked but I'm still not getting a 4G signal and I can't make calls or send texts on Echoe Rom or Phoenix Rom. It says there's modules in that wifi fix and I even flashed separate modules but it didn't change anything. Do you know what I can do to fix this?

Sounds like maybe some issues with your APN settings.
Check this thread and see if they match what you have: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2734775

There's no option to change APN setting in those roms... I honestly don't even know where to begin trying to fix this anymore...
Modules Needed??
Does anybody have any idea how I would flash Echoe Rom with the S5 port to my phone with Safestrap 3.72. I have the NC5 bootloader and I'm wondering what modules I need to flash in order to have working wifi AND data/calling/service. When I flash Echoe Rom my baseband version changes to NC2... Does this change the modules I need to flash? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

You could try flashing that wifi fix, which will set your modem as NC2. Then flash the NC5 modem and you'll have the NC5 baseband and working wifi (this is what I do for Hyperdrive).

Hyperdrive is excellent. I Love it. The link and everything you will need to know can be found here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2301724 I have tried other ROM's also, Baja, GruesomeWolf, just to name a couple and I have found Hyperdrive to be the most stable.
