But, this root method support G2/G3/Tribute KitKat/lollipop.(VS985 10B, 11C, 23A, 23B).
Very easy. Try this LG NEW root method.

It seems that it does work. I'll try it as soon as I get to my PC.

It Works! however after flashing TWRP with flashify you can not boot into recovery. you can boot the phone normally and flash back the 23B recovery.

Please do it now & upload images to your Stock IMG Collection I want to directly start working on a rooted ROM & check if Bump! is patched (this might be the reason why TWRP doesn't boot as reported above). If so, we can upgrade keeping the Bump-friendly bootloader & TWRP recovery. Thanks in advance

Thanks! @bweN diorD will upload the images to his mediafire account soon. So, to save time & effort, let's rely on one source.

Not sure if his upload is done but mine is zipped up and uploading to mediafire got about 20 minutes. Left full dump zipped is 1.85GB

excuse me
I seem to be having a little trouble. i was on stock 12b then did the 23b upgrade perfectly with activity launcher. I tried this root method and could not get past the verizon screen. Even tried a wipe cache and a full factory reset but still no boot. toted back top 10b and upgraded to 12b with the verizon upgrade tool. I want to try this again but i wanna make sure im not doing anything wrong. Can anyone help?

[STOCK][ODIN][GB][Rogers] For those who wish to revert to stock Rogers

Edit: pda-odin-rogers-stock-system-boot.img now contains a new boot.img file that hopefully will include the Rogers boot animation. Try it out and let me know how it goes.
These are Odin-flashable .tars of the stock Rogers system, boot/kernel, and radios and can be used to revert to stock.
Files Available
NB: All files are zipped to save space. Please extract the .tar before flashing via Odin.
pda-odin-rogers-stock-system-boot.zip - This .tar contains the stock system.img.ext4 and stock boot.img and can be used to assist in resetting your flash counter using braway's method. Flash it via Odin's pda option. The recovery.img has been removed to preserve CWM if you've already flashed it to your phone. Once your flash counter has been reset, you can then return recovery to stock via this method using just the recovery.img file in the archive here.
phone-odin-rogers-stock-radio.zip - This .tar contains the stock Bell modem/radio and is flashed via Odin's phone option. Not working properly. Apparently I don't know how to make Odin flashable modem .tars, lol
Rogers-Modem-CWM.zip - This is a CWM-flashable .zip of the modem files. Should work perfectly. Let me know if you run into any problems.
SkyDrive Folder of all Rogers Files I've added all the files to my SkyDrive since my public DropBox links keep being suspended due to excessive traffic. Hopefully this solves all future problems.
Disclaimer
I am in no way responsible for any damages caused to your Note by anything you flashed. These files are provided as is to help Rogers Note owners return to stock after whatever they've done to their phones.
Special Thanks
Tearrek for providing all the stock image files.
braway for taking my constant questions and providing much needed guidance in my first developer-ish project as well as for the flash counter reset.
Da_G for the instructions on using Odin and indirectly showing me how to use the Linux terminal.
Please post your experiences with these stock Rogers files below and if you have any questions, I'll do my best to help. Enjoy!!
Posted in General as per Development Forum Rules.
Thanks for posting these files!
The only problem I'm having is flashing stock radio, always fail half way.

Well crap. I thought I fixed that. I might just package them in a CWM zip instead. Also, you can push them manually using ADB if you feel confident enough. If you extract the two files from the .tar, the code necessary is below.
Code:
adb push amss.bin /tmp/amss.bin
adb push mdm.bin /tmp/mdm.bin
adb shell dd if=/tmp/amss.bin of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p13
adb shell dd if=/tmp/mdm.bin of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p17
Be very careful with this and check for typos as an error here can brick your phone as I understand it. This is provided as is and I am in no way responsible for anything you do to your phone.
Thanks to Da_G for this from this post.

That's weird. The boot.img was included in the odin flash .tar. Though come to think of it, I don't remember my Bell Note having a Bell specific splash screen. Did Rogers come with one?
I guess I should also ask where the files you provided came from then, lol

Any chance at a cwm flash-able update zip for stock rogers recovery?
Regardless this was fantastic, I won a Galaxy Note but it was from Bell and I am currently on Rogers. Now it feels right again. Thanks to everyone who contributed.

I followed the instructions and it said it successfully flashed the recovery, but when I tried to boot into it, it said it was booting recovery but didn't actually go anywhere. The screen blacked out for a second then rebooted normally. Any ideas? I'm not running the stock kernel, but the one used in one of the other root methods. Do I need to have stock kernel for this to work?

[FIX] Installed TWRP and now you're stuck after OTA?

Howdy all!
Did you install TWRP and then take the OTA, now you can't get your phone to boot normally, but you do see TWRP?
Here's the easy fix:
If you have ADB access, plug in your phone and run this:
Code:
adb shell
dd if=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/fota of=/sdcard/fota-backup.img
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/fota
Then you should be able to successfully reboot your phone via the TWRP menu option, or via a simple reboot command in adb.
If you DONT have ADB access (because of an early build of TWRP), you can simply use TWRP's awesome "terminal command" option to run the following:
Code:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/fota
You'll have to type that whole thing out, and be VERY careful with spaces and punctuation. One wrong letter and you could nuke your phone.
After that finishes, you can reboot and continue on your happy way!
Let me know if this helps anyone!
As usual, I'm on #lg-g2 in Freenode as IOMonster, if I'm around I'll be happy to help wherever I can.
Thank you! I'll update my guides now you made some folks very happy today.

Let me know if this helps anyone!
As usual, I'm on #lg-g2 in Freenode as IOMonster, if I'm around I'll be happy to help wherever I can.

I was upset yesterday worrying about you guys. I am happy to see you happy. Thanks much OP for the fix.
I am rooted and installed TWRP recovery but reverted back to the stock recovery before accepting the VZW OTA update. I'm now stuck in a boot loop and I can't get ADB to recognize my device when plugged in via USB. When I plug in my phone it shows the following:
Fastboot mode started
udc_start()
-reset-
-portcharge-
-reset-
-portcharge-
fastboot: processing comands
Any idea why this is happening and how I can get my phone to boot normally?

When you see the file folder just ignore that and hit "select "on the bottom right and that will bring it up. Just type the command from there
Thanks it worked! Should I flash stock now update via OTA then reroot and reflash TWRP??

I didn't. From what I've read its just best to flash the new TWRP and not worry about the new OTA. Besides there is nothing relevant about the OTA enough to worry about going through all the trouble of installing the OTA. Also the devs have pulled all the new update files and they will use those in their Roms

Yea, let's just wait for a ROM worth flashing and "F OTA"
How can we get the OTA if we have TWRP installed?
Can we falsh stock recovery and then accept the Update?
If so can someone please post the Stock Recovery IMG?
My phone is at the LG screen and the notification light is blinking but thats it. How can I adb anything or get into twrp?

fixed, thanks for the heads up!
Fricken FINALLY! I have been saying that I wish someone would do this for some time now. I'm curious as to where the 12B images came from. I had problems with the 11C boot and system images being flashed over 10B so I just restored from a nandroid. However I have 12B radio and wouldn't mind having the latest version without issues. 11C images caused me to not have adb and that was a deal-breaker.

They were pulled by other forum members just like the previous files.
What problems did you have with 11c other than Ethernet?, because that's not a problem, it was removed by vzw or lg.

Well, that's nice to know. The other issues were that software info displayed kernel as "unknown" and I was having stuttering issues.

My mistake. It was bootloader that was showing as "unknown". But yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking. I might give these links a try. Has anyone else flashed the 12B system.img & boot.img?

The links are the same as posted before. I'll likely mirror all of them into my account, just in case the ones I don't host go down, but it will still be the same files.
I don't know if anyone tried the 12b img's yet, haven't seen any post about it.

It extracts just fine. Use your computer to extract it. If that don't work then you get a bad download.

All three 12B images flashed and work well. Everything was left intact, just added the bloat back as usual.

Were you running stock rooted? I'm running Jasmine rom right now. Not sure if that would matter since its a stock base.

NEED A FAVOR! Dump of qni from a working H932

Alright guys, as some of you may know -- there was a bad ROM put out that bricked a lot of H932s.
I need someone with a working H932 to send me a dump of their qni partition.
Boot to TWRP
Code:
adb pull /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/qni qni.img
Zip it up and send it.
Thanks!

See if that works for you.
I did it from booted, using terminal emulator elevated to root using dd command. I can redo it in twrp if it does make a difference.
Edit: just did it from twrp as well, and both files are identical, using dd command in twrp as well. I'm camping right now with Cub scouts, so hopefully that is what you need!
Feel special. I took a short leave of absence from XDA moderating for camping.. had my tethering not worked, I wouldn't have known you needed this in other news, @seadersn - you're on my radar now hijacking my question with the link to this request....
