Got this tablet few days ago and its great.
And i have a issue with camera (I tried 3 different S8-50F in store and all have same issue but i still got 1 for myself)
Here is the thing.
1. When you open camera and want to take photo all is great.
2. Swap to video and you have zoom like 2.5x (as a default) or more (you cannot un-zoom, only more zoom up to 6x more)
Called Lenovo support and they have no idea how to help except send us brand new unit for service but what about rest of those two i tried in store with same issue should Bestbuy send them too
Is there any settings that can be done or any app that i can use for video recording.
Can`t post links yet to show pictures of what i am talking about for better understanding.

It is the app for controlling the Samsung d7000/8000 smart range of tv's i have used it on the demo gt7510 in the store where i bought mine but its not in my apps.

The version for the tab does not even let me download it, I have tried the remote but it looks wrong and I want the video streaming function as this is one of the main reasons for buying it.
The Smart View-app isn't ready for the tabs yet.
Samsung issued a statement, when they first launched SmartView for the SGSII, that 8.9 and 10.1 tablets will be able to download the app in the late summer.. So just be patience (like me! )
I tried a downloadable .apk version on my 10.1 in combination with the d8000...
The remote function works, but when trying to switch to watch tv it crashes.
Then i found a ported version, which should work on more android devices.
That compatibility i can't check, but still the same crash on the 10.1...
i thought Samsung said they would put it on the 10.1 and 9.8 by default...

Have you even bothered to read my post right before yours?
Samsung never said it would be on the tab from the get-go.. They promised to release it "after the summer".. And seeing how vague that statement is (doesn't even tell if they mean summer in Miami, Stockholm, Capetown or Sidney), it's pretty safe to say that they're still in keeping with their promise..

Nope, no news yet.
I wrote with a Samsung-dude last week, and all he could say is that they're still planning for at september/early october-release

I've got a Samsung 5700 .. doesn't work though (even though I can activate network remote in my TV menu...) Anyone any ideas? What does my TV mean by Network Remote then?!

They don't list the "Tab" version to the Galaxy Note.
Don't know if this is what you are looking for, I use it to control my 7000 series Samsung LED on my Tab 10.1. For some reason I don't get the dual view as an option but I have read others are having the same issue. Works fine for me, full screen, as the other one is really small when it loads.

forgot the exact number, but dual view only works for d6000 or D7000+

This has replaced all things i need to carry anywhere
was wondering whether we can activate a dual shot feature for the device?
I know my note 3 has it but i could not find it at the s4 zoom, which is my fave feature at the note 3

What's a dual shot?
You can try installing Lenovo Super Camera (via recovery or via apk). it has a function called PIP that is similar to Samsung Dual Shot.
when the Samsung app shoot two photos at the same time, this progam will first shoot a photo and then the other one on the other hand. It is full of settings that Samsung app has not!
Only problem is that this application has the tendency to heat up the phone. You will have to root and install "Autorun Manager". With "Autorun Manager" you can deactivate all voices about Lenovo application; Lenovo application will work alike perfectly but will not get warm your phone.

Camera App
I think Nubia camera app have some problems. Like not focus in short distance. and photo taken is not good like i see in screen. I tested lenovo camera. It is better in focus.
I can't see internet calling option is dialer settings which is usually there on all android devices. Can anyone help me how to enable it on z7 mini?

im using Z7 mini and common rom v1.76
here are my problems:
1. cannot boot to fastboot
a. from About Phone->System Updates->Fastboot
b. from adb using my PC
c. volume down + power button
all the 3 methods above will just stuck at the Nubia screen and cannot proceed
2. cannot sort contact list by first name and hide those without phone numbers
any1 know how to solve these problems?

Hi, yes, I have exactly the same problem, also when I compare the
images on my computer (NOT on the phone screen, but downloading files to the PC)to images taken with the (cheaper) Xiaomi Redmi, the Redmi images are not only sharper, but also brighter unedited, and the Xiaomi camera can take pics faster in even darker lighting conditions........the Nubia Z7 mini camera has problems focusing, takes a long time to find the focus. In my case the phone also keeps hanging when I want to start the phone from sleep mode, black screen, and red led slowly blinking.........trying to get a refund or exchange from seller on aliexpress, they say camera from other phones are different, and seems not to want to even exchange the phone for me, despite asking to also look at the hanging problems (of which I sent them a video)

The tab S3 received a new 250 MB+ update today. Bug and stability improvements. Also HDR Netflix now works (P.S. make sure you are in cinema display mode for best viewing experience).

Got the update as well. Android 7.0 still and only the August security patch but I did test and confirm that the BlueBorne bug was patched which I am happy about. Still waiting for that patch on my S8 :/
Glad to get hdr for Netflix finally!
But I was reaaally hoping for theme support too, or any way to turn that notification menu dark.

I tested out the LTE version SM-T825 of this tablet as someone said that this version doesn't have the wifi bug but that is not the case, it still has the very same drain issue. I did notice, however, that the drain issue went away when I was at a friend's place using an old integrated comcast router/modem, but that brings little comfort since it seems that most common routers do cause the drain on this tablet. And again in my home with the 2X WRT1900AC, my old Tab S2, S7 and current S8+ had no issues with wifi power drain so this is definitely something in the Tab S3 that causes the issue with most modern routers (tried just the 2.4 Ghz channel, an ASUS 68U and N11, an older netgear and the drain was still present). This on the latest I2 firmware.
Is Netflix working with Magisk? Netflix was installed as a system app on my tablet. I updated the firmware and rooted the tablet with magisk, but Netflix force closes on first attempt to launch it. Afterwards it loads a black screen.
Mine was updated as well but can't see HDR logo on supported titles on Netflix. What's wrong? Am I the only one affected?
I have a 4 screen + UltraHD plan, so that's not the case.
Have you confirmed that it's actually necessary to switch into AMOLED Cinema mode to get the full HDR color space? I was hoping that I could leave the tablet on Basic and that it would automatically switch to the proper mode when an HDR video was played. It would be a pain to have to switch back and forth every time, especially given the number of taps to get to that setting.

Also, I have a Tab A 10.1 with S pen. There's no update available for the Samsung keyboard. Is it possible to uninstall it and install lastest version? Hello!
I just got a Samsung Galaxy S21 a few days ago, and I am trying to figure out a way to use either Live Messages or Handwriting (the feature in the Samsung Messages app that let's you draw gifs to send as texts).
It seems to have been removed because while there are videos of people using this feature when the phone first came out, those options don't show up on my phone. After speaking with Samsung several times, they finally told me that those features are for phones with S-Pen support. This doesn't seem right, as I know people with Galaxy S8's and S9's who can at least create GIFs to text via Handwriting in Samsung Messages.
Is there a workaround or APK download to fix this? I've tried several, and while I finally found a version of Live Messages in APK Mirror that would install, I can't find a version of Samsung Neural Keyboard that will work because they keep crashing.
Is there anyone who could help me find a solution please? I'd be happy to provide any additional info that may be needed. Any input would be amazing. I don't know where else to turn for help or insight.
