are there any current alternative root methods and or apps rather than superSU that would work with lollipop?

Can't Framaroot use the exploits used by KingRoot and use SuperSU files? I never root a device if it doesn't use SuperSU or if I can't replace the root app with it. Thanks!
Because framaroot was developed a few years ago for older versions of android. There are so many different android versions, build versions, manufacturers, carriers, and other things that can affect root access. It is crazy difficult to make a phone app be able to support all those changes. You can switch the KingUser for SuperSu anyway, so not usually a big deal for most people.
Hi I'm new here so not sure if posted in the right place.
Does anyone know how to root an LG X Screen? I tried to google it but I wasn't finding anything useful.
Thanks.
Use One Click Root apk
To root your device you can use KingRoot app, which can root many devices without PC. If KingRoot doesn't work, you can also try with Kingo Root app or Framaroot app.
Try use kingroot app
Nowadays, Root is very easy. If u do not know how to root your device then just try to use one-click root apps. Lots of root apps available in the apps market so PC is not mandatory to root your device. I can suggest you few one-click root apps such as Kingroot , Framaroot if those tools not work then u can try magisk manager or iRoot.
Will this work on noughat?

I was opening up a few apps that require root access after Nox updated to 5.0.0.1 just to find that they freeze up. So I close out these apps and try to restart them and that is when I am presented with a "Root access is required to run x" and SuperUser is not asking for root access.
Root is indeed enabled in Nox, and since SuperUser is built into Nox, there is no way to clear its data or anything. I am at a roadblock
does anybody know what the problem could be or how to fix it?
Try bluestacks or leapdroid, because there are the best android emulators for root.
nox already rooted
go to sittings and check on root and save sitting + delete super user app
Why to root?
Well any way when we purchase our mobile. We not have full access to use it. Some services like hidden installation, modify installed apps, modify ROM,delete system apps, modify internal root memory etc are not allowed. That's why some apps don't work because mobile security don't allow them to serve special services .But when we root our mobile ,we can give them permission to do special services. These permission are managed by the rooting app.
Be Aware!!
If you are not a developer then use your root access properly .Only give root permissions to the apps which you can trust .If you give root permission to unknown apps, they can steel important data ,release viruses, encrypt your mobile software so be carefull but if you know how to manage it then can costimize your mobile amazingly by different apps.
