trouble after lollipop update. - Sprint LG G3

I've noticed 2 little bugs after the update. 1. My clock skips over the 7 o'clock hour. Which isn't that big of a deal as I know it's wrong and I have no alarms at that time. 2. The sound cuts out sometimes if I have a charger plugged into it. I was wondering if anyone else had noticed these issues too.?
Edit** it just falls an hour behind, I just happened to notice it during both 7 o'clock hours today.

The sound probally pauses because the phone just got pluged in. If you wouldn't try uploading a log file so that we can review it. I am pretty sure what keeps happening is your phone keeps gwtting unpluged the repluged it and the phone goes and makes the charging sound. Try using a diffent power outlit I myself had this issue and I just went and started usinging a diffrent outlit and now all is good.

battery problem

so every once in a while, i'd say every 4 or 5 days... i'll take my phone off the charger and start my day like normal. but on these days, (sometimes i notice and do a hard reset before all this happens) the upper half of the phone will get really warm and even if i do absolutely nothing on my phone, my battery will drain from full to dead in 3-4 hours.
has anyone else noticed this? i'm thinking it may be some sort of cpu cycle leak or some sort of infinite loop some background driver might get itself into.
its pretty annoying if i dont catch it right away and an hour after i unplug my phone while i'm at work to take my phone out of my pocket and have it over half battery gone already.

I have noticed the 'staying warm after charging sometimes' phenomenon....I also sometimes leave it charging all night but it doesn't seem to charge, even though the light is on. I think this is somehow connected to the wonky power button behavior...I get a green light on full charge sometime....i've never seen it turned green while powered off.....sometimes it won't turn on while plugged in, sometimes I need to do a battery pull, sometimes the SD card too, sometimes I need to press the power button a million times or hold it extra extra long....sometimes the charging light doesn't come on and it does charge, sometimes the light comes on and it doesn't...sometimes it gets really hot after charging and doesn't cool down after sitting idle....I usually just shut it off for a minute and turn it back on...somehow.
This is definitely one of my pet peeves with this phone...I also think this is linked to some phones never turning back on again, corrupted bootloader/recovery after a 'fastboot' shut-down or hot restart...
I'm diggin' the phone, don't get me wrong, but....I can't wait for the nPrime...
yeah, but it's less so the problem of it getting warm (pre or post charging) and moreso that it will start heating up a lot and you can tell that something is running the battery down in the background, the only way to stop this is to do a battery pull restart.
has anyone had similar issues with their phone going from full battery to dead in a few hours because of a hidden bugged process or something similar?
bump 10 char
I had that happen after tuning airplane mode off then back on. But that's itt

This happened to me this morning, first time and it was very weird. I've left it charging overnight per usual and this morning when I woke up and unplugged it, it had only 10% battery left. I tried charging it in my car on my way to work and have it plugged in to my computer USB now. I disabled a bunch of stuff as shown on this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1141221
And it's now starting to charge.
I did however just update to showdown rom and had setcpu on 1.7 conservative. It still should have charged but I'm guessing a stuck process/bug drew all the power last night.

SGS2 not waking after locking screen

so heres the story:
when i lock the phone, the screen turns off as normal. but when i hit the power/home button to wake it and unlock it, nothing happens. literally, nothing happens. its as if the phone has turned itself off.
So whats happened is, I left the phone on the charger last night. it woke perfectly this morning when the alarm went off. no issues there.
I put the phone into my pocket and headed into work. i went to check my phone when i got on the bus and this was the first tme that I noticed that the phone wasnt waking. i eventually pulled the battery to get the phone to restart. i tried it again and the same thing happened.
later I made a phone call. the same thing happened again when i took the phone away from my head (the screen didnt restart, and I couldnt hit the End Call button cause there was none.)
since then, i've figured that to make sure the phone doesnt go to permanent sleep i have to do one of 2 things,
1) keep the phone music player running constantly, or
2) keep the phone connected to the usb charger.
clearly this isnt exactly practical for a mobile.
im not running any other Rom, its still the stock rom, android v 2.3.5, not rooted or anything else?
is this somethign anyone else has seen?
its called 'sleep of death' or SoD. some people has experienced this and some are able to fix it. it depends on what is causing it.
some blame it to the battery and the battery's contact point..
sometimes it fix itself after few reboots..
cheers for the info. Ill look into it and see if its worth trying to fix or just sending back.
no problem, i have this problem and cant do anything about it. i used load monitor to keep the phone awake, u/v a bit so it wont drain so much battery. but battery drainage still noticeable like 1% every 5 min..
just wondering, does it feels hot/warm near the camera lens when it happens? bcause mine does.
not particularly.
i finally got through to my provider and will be able to get it fixed/replaced soon. they just dont half drag their feet

[Q] Phone won't turn on

Hey guys,
Last night I plugged in my LGOG right before I went to sleep. About seven hours later I woke up, woke it up to check the time, then fell back to sleep. When I woke up again a few hours later, my phone was completely dead. No lights go on when charging, nor does it go into the charging mode that happens when the phone is off but charging. The power button does nothing at all. Connecting it to a computer does nothing. I have tried two different wall chargers and a USB plug, and have tried different outlets. The phone is rooted and unlocked. I haven't put any new apps or anything on the phone recently, however I have had a slight overheating issue lately. I don't think that that's what caused the issue though, as when I woke up for the first time and woke it up, the phone was not noticeably hot, and seemed to work fine. Any ideas or suggestions?
Edit: As suddenly as it stopped working, it has started working again, about two hours later. The notification sound buzzed, my phone turned on, and usual on start things happened. However I'm still extremely worried about it. Now that it's on, I assume there's more I can do to figure out the issue- suggestions?
These phones are terribly buggy when charging/when they die, IMO. Worst Android device I've ever had in that respect.
Probably just a fluke, tbh.
Unfortunately it happened again- sent a message, put my phone away, when I tried to turn it on again nothing happened and it stopped working for five minutes.
Apologies for not mentioning this before, but I am using carbonrom, not stock. I've used it for several months with no issues, and have used the latest build for a week or two now without this issue.

Reboot into recovery and wipe cache+dalvik
Maybe the rom needs a little cleaning

Tried wiping cache and dalvik, but didn't seem to solve the issue. Then my phone started having an issue it's had once before- it turns on for a few seconds, then the screen goes grey for about a minute, then returns to being on. After returning to being on, it acts like it's just started up- ie, there's superuser grant notifications, cpu set notifications, and all sorts of other stuff I usually see on boot. It essentially rendered my phone unusable, so I restored an earlier backup. This seems to have resolved it for now, I may have to wait before updating carbon again.

Either you have a bad phone (possible, LG seems to have some QC issues based on some of the crazy reports Ive heard fm other people on this forum [Mine's fine]), or it's all the startup **** that you have going.
Do you usually let it discharge to below 5%?
that's a stupid idea with any device, and seems to be especially damaging to our LGOG.

Have mine 2months been careful not to let the battery shut down on its own but thirds past Monday my car charger weren't bad and the phone shut down. Would not except a charge after that. Went to att and they sent me to a service center. They could not charge it either. They replaced it, now making sure my external battery backup its always charged. Do not want to do that again.

That sounds like that could actually be the issue. On the previous iteration of carbon I almost never allowed it to go below about 10%. However the new update seemed to be harsher on battery life and it slipped into the 1% range several times...
same thing happened to me running root box with no tweaks or anything. I woke up and the phone was off, been that way for two days now. it wasn't on the charger so its definitely possible that it died. I actually found this thread because I could've sworn there was a report of someone who had to do a battery pull. I'm thinking that's my only option now.

Gear S Stopped charging - UGH!!!!!!

Have had mine since launch day and take extremely good care of it. ZERO issues with charging until last night. Plugged it in before bed and thought it would be fine as any other day.
Woke up this morning and it's at 1% charge. The battery pack / charger is fully charged, and reads green/blue not red when plugged in. I left it connected and plugged it into the wall and the battery icon shows on the watch with 1% below it but it doesn't read green as it normally does showing it's taking a charge.
I then moved it to my PC plugged it in and it recognized the watch, thus the connections are all solid. I left it plugged into my computer, reset it to factory again and am now restoring it to see if that will resolve things. Really odd as it's not been wet or undergone a drop or anything.
Frustrating to say the least as I'm leaving for a week long trip and would like to have it with me working. Not sure if AT&T will do anything. Very worst case I can send it in to Sammy but that's not good either.
Anyone have toughts or experiences with this happening?
Okay, found out the problem. For some very odd reason a simple reset did the trick. I have no idea what changed or happened over the course of the past few weeks as I've not installed or done anything different.
When in doubt reboot or reset I suppose. Go figure.........

Screen shows multi-colored static. Anyone else have this problem?

I hope someone can help me out. The past 3 days I have had this problem that happens when I wake the phone. My screen will just be multicolored static. I tried rebooting but at times the screen even becomes unresponsive. The strange thing about this is that it happens for about 10-15 minutes in the morning with pretty much a full charge on the battery and then I have no problem the rest of the day. I have tried different roms but it happens no matter what and it only happens in the morning after my phone has charged all night. I have tried powering down and charging but that didn't change anything. Could this be a sign of a failing LCD? It just makes no sense the phone functions perfectly the rest of my 14 hour day. Any help would be appreciated.
exactly... i have the same problem
yess.. i have the same problem. please to anyone help me out to fix that problem.
