i used the sunshine tool and it worked. it works on stock & IC roms. go to http://theroot.ninja/ and click "download now" then click "Download SunShine - 2.8.5". copy the SunShine-latest.apk file to ur internal sd card. open & install it. run the app. it will tell u whether it works on ur device or not. if it works, it will ask u to pay $25 with paypal or credit card. it takes like 2 mins. its fast and simple

Rumrunner worked for me.
I followed this. http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-601/general/guide-tips-achieving-s-off-rumrunner-t2827793
Heard it didnt work with kk
I too used rumrunner but while on jellbean so I cannot confirm if possible on kitkat. I will add it was fairly difficult because I had parental controls on my laptop. Rumrunner is pretty finicky.

I did it while on InsertCoin, so yes, it works on KK.
I'm not sure if it works with stock, bc when I tried it with stock I happened to have avast running and it didn't work.
I tried it with IC, this time I decided to disable avast and it worked. It probably will work with stock though.

Just an FYI, Speedtest app had an update today, and it now works without FC'ing as it did before.
Although, it isnt running in fullscreen for me (yet) maybe a reboot might fix? Anyway, here you go. Enjoy.

It's always worked, as long as you gave it a fake GPS.
It has always worked right out of the box for me on stock rooted.
@GMPOWER ditto

Yeah stock it was fine, CM7 for some reason it would crash trying to access the GPS, as does a handful of other apps. Workaround is a GPS location faking tool, or simply turning on the TetherGPS client, since I already had it on there anyway.
Where are you getting it from? Im running NookieFroyo and it didnt show up in the market before and still doesnt. I did get a copy of the app from another source but it looks a little funky. It does work though. Anyways, I would like to get the updated version.
I posted before about upgrading to 2.2 but I was wondering if there is a root solution out there for an HTC Aria which was upgraded to the official 2.2 with the new hboot. I trie dthe new unrevoked but it says firmware too new
I'm also wiating for it, let me know if you find one.

At this time there is no way to root an Aria with the 1.0.2 hboot with software. There is a hardware method but it is expensive. The other option is to send your phone to someone and have them use the hardware method on your phone for you.
If you are interested in getting your phone "fixed" go here and ask for attn1:
http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=#liberatedAria
Total cost was around $35 USD with shipping both ways. He got my phone back to me super fast and now I am no longer stuck on the official rom. Well worth it.
What the hardware does is turns off the security flag on the device. This is what they call s-off. Once your phone is s-off you are able to load custom recoveries to your phone like clockworkmod and then flash custom roms.

I just got security cameras installed at work. wwwdot genivtechnology dotcom is the manufacture. If you search "G4SS" that is the app I'm supposed to use. The app is not compatible with the Thunderbolt. Is it ALL Thunderbolts or just mine? I've talked to some people who said they can pull it up and get the download button. I'm NOT rooted, but I'm running Android2.3.4. Is there a way to download it to my pc then transfer it to my SD card and open it that way??
Thanks in advance.

After that update, towel root worked for me.
I am simply the messenger. I do not guarantee this will work always. Any modifications you do to your phone is your own risk. Many people have reported it works. Your setup may be slightly different than others. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but once you decide you want to try it, you accept the chance that your phone could end up a paperweight. I'm not saying it's your fault, but I am saying that you are testing possible dangerous waters by trying things that aren't approved by sprint. It's a gamble that all of us have to decide if it's worth it. I don't promise anything, i'm simply offering more information.
So, im new to any kind of messing with tech, pc or android, i tried rooting through odin and even though it said it worked it didnt seem to make a difference other then pokemon go thinking im on a custom os, while i was trying to root my phone i did a hard reboot on the samsung screen and it took a screenshot of the boot process/boot order. im not sure if this could help me in any way? it seems like it tries to boot through a hdd, then a cd/dvd rom. then the rom itself.
