I have recently unlocked the bootloader and rooted my moto e with super user and twrp and now i am totally stuck in bootloader warning message.
This all happened after i installed SD_fix for kitkat from playstore and chainfire 3d to optimize my graphics. After rebooting the phone is stuck in bootloader message and the Teamwin recovery is still working. I have already done factory reset via twrp but nothing helps. If any one can link me to the solution page or post via this thread would help me.....Please help ...

Welcome bro
Sent from my Moto E using XDA Free mobile app
HI all,
I am using MOTO G version: 221.21.56 falcon_umtsds.AsiaRetail.en.o3 with Andriod 5.1 OS [Build ver: LPB23.13-56].
I am planning to Root my mobile.
I have unlocked the boot loader on my mobile via moto website.
What will be the next step for rooting? I have gone through the web,
Pending Task will be as follows:
1> I need to install custom recovery like TWRP. For Twrp i have checked the website, I don't find exact image for my mobile.
It has image like twrp-xxxx-xt1032.img or twrp-xxxx-titan.img . Which image is suitable for my devices. kindly confirm.
2> Flash super SU.
Will this complete my rooting process? or any other steps need to be performed.? Waiting for your response experts.
Thanks & Regards,
Vignesh
You are correct about the method. The recovery you want can be found here:

from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/development/recovery-twrp-2-8-2-0-touch-recovery-t2980621
Your model is the Falcon - xt1033 (non GPe).

Thanks for the comments.
Since my device is non-GPE, will i need to use "twrp-2.8.7.0.-falcon_STOCK.img - 9.8 Mo (AFH Mirror)" for recovery.
Kindly confirm it.
Thanks and regards,
Vignesh
Correct.

I just unlocked and rooted my second one for my wife today, with no troubles. Go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e-2015/general/guide-unlock-bootloader-moto-e-2015-t3045748
It should work fine. If it doesn't, you must have done something wrong.
1- Unlock Bootloader
2- Install TWRP - https://forum.xda-developers.com/z2-play/development/twrp-3-1-1-0-moto-g5-plus-albus-t3622593
3- Install Magisk 13.3 Mod (Thks Junior Passos) - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=889764386195922735
Thks: Junior Passos, Santhosh M
After doing this will it be possible to apply OTAs?

In most devices when you get the device rooted, you don't receive OTAs

I thought the TWRP version you linked is not working properly. Are you saying that it works, now?
That TWRP won't work on some models, I have flashed it on my xt1710-09 and it got stuck on the initial TWRP boot logo.
Good evening. What is the root and hotspot status if you don't mind me asking? I'm thinking of picking up this phone tomorrow

afaik, they're all rootable except the verizon variant...
hotspot...? if you mean, using your data network as a wifi hotspot - unless there's some kind of issue hosting a wifi network while rooted, this device does let you host.

If you buy the phone directly from Motorola/Lenovo, you can put a Verison SIM in and then you can also unlock the bootloader. Takes longer but if you really want to unlock it, this would be the only way I know.

Hello, I have unlock my Moto Z2 play successfully.
I installed TWRP 3.1.1.0 as specified. However, it gets stocked on the Teamwin blue screen and can't do anything from there than reboot.
Any idea how to solve this problem. Thanks a lot

Sorry guys, I'm thinking about buying this phone with a carrier, so I will have 30 months of warranty covering everything. If I unlock the bootloader and flash the recovery I will lose it. Does anyone know how to find the factory image or backup the stock system (recovery and everything) to restore it to stock in case of problems? Thanks in advance
I have the XT1710-10 Dual SIM variant of the Moto Z2 Play, what should i do to succesfully root the phone. Can somebody guide me in detail ?

Which way? What error?... You must go to Motorola's unlock bootloader page (@pizza_pablo kindly shared the link for you already) and >precisely< follow instructions. You can also search for "unlock bootloader Motorola" here or in YouTube. There's aplenty of video tutorials, plus every single Moto device since Moto G requires the very same procedure, so you can follow any. Good luck and don't cry; you'll notice that unlocking is the easiest part.
One more thing: I strongly suggest you to research as much as you can about the subject >first< (it clearly looks like the first time for you) especially on Moto Z2 Play rooting and very especially on Oreo rooting. There's a bit of confusion there.

Yerah...Verizon phones are always locked down, unless you have a Pixel. That's precisely why I dropped them like a bad habit. Well, that AND the fact that they are the most expensive cell provider out there.
I'm looking for an user/owner of a Motorola Moto E XT1021 who can help with the process of recover a bricked XT1021 device. If by chance someone still reads this forum and have a Moto E XT1021 please contact me. Thanks.

Which XT1021 do you have? The retail global? There's a method to unbrick Motorola Qualcomm devices that involves finding a working phone to take a copy of the whole eMMC and then copy that file to a microSD to boot the bricked phone.

Hello there. Since I've posted this request many members of this community have helped me a lot but sadly I'm still with my bricked Moto E, so I'm still looking for Moto E owners that want to help me. If you have a Moto E XT1021 Retail Global (bought from Amazon United States) and you're willing to help me please contact me by PM. Again thank you to all the people that contacted me since then.
