[Q] wake up alarm only 2 times rings? WTF???

How can I set reapeating of alarm ring??? After every 5 minutes for example???
Yeah i was also wondering, HTC never got alarms quite right..
If your phone is turned off, does the alarm ring? (proper off, not screen off, but hold power, and shut down)?

Which is really retarded. My old ****ty sony ericsson phone that is 6 years old can boot up and activate alarm, when turned off properly.
Why cant HTC figure something out?
To the guy that says he doesnt care for alarm: when one day you will have exams, are tired, u cant think straight, u put ur alarm, turn off ur phone properly, and.. no alarm. and no exams.
Then u will start caring

because your 6 year old phone isn't really off, it is suspended so it can power up and sound alarms. when the hd2 is off it is really off so can't.
the old phones had to do this way because their memory isvolatile,,if youleave your old phone alone for a week, even "off", the battery dies and a hard reset automatically happen
re the alarm not continually ringing, firstly reenable the windows notifications,(can use bsbtweaks, ork at the keys edit the reg key directly) which will give you back the multiple snooze time options.
you can also have a look in
hklm/system/shell/notification/oem/reminder.
i haven't done any proper testing of these keys, and i'm not sure if tidy affect the alarms or just reminders,, i'll get around to it one day.
my alarm is all to hell, doesn't go off, goes off at wrong time etc...
found a fix though....... in the shape of a £3.99 clock radio.
It even has a working fm radio which is more than I can say for my HD2....
so basically you have two options......
buy an alarm clock or just get up when the alarm goes off.....
imo the snooze function is only encouraging laziness in an already slothenly portion of society...
but maybe that's a subject for another forum.....

slothful or slovenly, take your pick (Made up words becoming mainstream, pfffft, wouldn't have happened in my day, bring back the birch, hangings too good for em, and other such nonsense) hehe.
Anyway, been testing my alarms (to the disgust of my missus) and with the windows dismiss x notification tweak (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Shell\Notification\OEM rename NotificationLayout.dll to anything that doesnt exists ((bsb tweaks calls it NotificationLayout2.dll))) and my alarms set using windows clocks and alarms, not sense, repeats every 45 seconds until i interact with the phone in ANY way, then it stops but the alarm popup stays on screen till i dismiss or snooze. I have been snoozing it for 5 mins each time, and letting it ring ten times each time it went off, and i was told to stop after i had snoozed it 10 times, so in ten snoozes, the sound played a hundred times.
So, the only thing i can think of that would be causing it to auto stop ringing would be HTC's NotificationLayout.dll, and that reg edit above disables that, hence mine working? sounds reasonable to me.

Epic Fail (as the kids would say).....
lmao, "fail"... that right there is the very epitome of everything that i hate about how netspeak is migrating to real life.,
Perhaps we can all get a free alarm clock out of HTC if we cry and shout and start multiple threads where we POST EVERYTHING IN LARGE FONT WITH CAPS about how disgusted we are at HTC/microsoft/god/the pope about the dodgy alarms function.

Screen Notification Issue

Whenever I receive new message/whatsapp/email/facebook/etc., my screen doesn't lights up to show me the notifications but it only makes the notification sound. Is there any way to turn on the screen when notification received?

It' s not an iPhone that's the reason why you have a notification light BTW it saves battery too. What a nonsense to turn the screen on each time you get a notification. Are iPhones still do that? I don't think that stock sense can do that.

Cool app and works similar to bitesms on iPhone jailbroken app. Only good thing though is the quick reply but imo the graphics on this make it look way out of date compared to the stock messenger. Only thing I don't like is when in your pocket you can accidentally hit reply and have issues if u know what I mean. Great alternative though for the few people that can't live without the screen turning on with a new text, lol. Personally I like it the way it is, does save some unneeded screen time and no possible way to case accidental responses. But if u just stare at ur device all day waiting for a text to appear, I can see the appeal, lol.
is there any other method to pop the screen?
i have been using the power button to pop the screen, is there any other alternative method?

Need help finding/reactivating a feature

So out of the box the Note 2 has a feature that when you take the pen out it automatically opens a page with all the note applications on the page and similarly opens music short cuts when you plug your earphones in. I was able to disable this feature from the screen that pops up and did so one time when I plugged the earphones in. I now of course would like that feature back and can not for the life of me find where in the settings you turn that one. Does anyone have an idea?

problem with notifications

hi
so, i missed 4 calls, when my phone was switched off and after turning it on, there were some notifications about it.
i delated all of them, but on the notification bar there was the icon (number 4 with a red, crossed circe) left.
sometimes it hides, but it always came back;/ it's quite annoying.
any ideas?

I read in reviews that notifications are not showing in the notification bar?

I currently own a oneplus 6 , thinking of buying this phone and sell my oneplus and keep the cash difference....
But I read that the software on the phone has a notification issue, where they do not show up in the notification bar and also they cannot be acted upon (according to a review)
Has this issue been fixed?
Also, does the phone have a notification light?

There are no notification in the status bar.
The phone has a notification light, only in white colour.

That does not sound correct to me, you can fit an icon notification or 2 or the left or right of the notch with ease really......on the oneplus the new ones just push them off of the notch .
where do notifications show at the moment ?

Notifications doesn't show at all.. Left side is clock.. Right side wifi, network, battery.. That's all.
Can you show a screenshot of how its handled in op6 and what do u mean by pushing off the notch?

On the oneplus on the left handside is the clock and 3 spaces for notifications, when a new one appears, the notification icon on the left drops off and the new one appears to the right next to the clock....
The screenshot is taken direct using the phone, so the notch is not displayed as looking at the screen.
I shall take one of the phone also.

This is well handled by OnePlus. However the Poco Notch is bigger, and right now, It's impossible to show notification icons, and that's frustrating. You need to check manually by sliding the bar each time ...
I heard that this problem is also present in other Mi Phones.

I was all primed and ready to buy a F1 today, but the notification situation totally stopped me in my tracks....I would have sold my Oneplus 6 8gb and used the F1 as my daily phone for work.....hopefully things will change in a software update.

I sold my op6 for my Mi 8 and I have only regrets and gonna buy a 6t soon after it release.

In fairness, my oneplus 6 has not let me down it is a great phone which I use for work so it has to be reliable, notifications are very important to me.
I too would like a 6T , I have had many of the Oneplus phones, the oneplus 2, 5, 5T and 6 , all of which have pretty much cost me nothing as I buy and sell my phones cheap and make a profit.

It's handled well.. Wish POCO can implement something like this soon.. I'm sure they must have thought have about notifications and looked at such inspirations. Only that it's not ready for the launch I hope.

Not only that, but I don't see notification in lock screen too. At least had it been showing things would be better. I'm not sure if it's only in the 18 update or if it's happening in 14 update too.. Only sometimes I see whatsapp displaying in lock screen but if you open the phone and bring down the notification shade there would be other notifications too.
