I have rooted mega 5.8 indian model......I want to have cyanogenmod 12 on it.......I have downloaded all require file like cm12 zip files and gapps....also........but when I start recovery mod to install that zip from sd card......It shows error that signature verification failed of whole file.....and It reboot again......
I have factory reset my mobile.....before doing it.....
But when when I try to dellete cache...It shows error......so pls...help me

3 days now i am trying to boot CM11(4.4 kitkat) to my sgs3 international. I am using Rom manager to flash Clockworkmod recovery and then i boot this zip file : cm-11-20131129-UNOFFICIAL-i9300-V12.zip
The installation is perfect and after that i am flashing the google app zip file and then i get a message: installation aborted.
I though that may the zip file has something wrong so i downloaded some other ones ( 4 others) but every time i have the same message without specialized error (ex error 7)
When i reboot my phone is perfect runing kitkat but with no access to any google app not even to play store so it is impossible to synch it and use it.
Pleaaase Help me

are the gapps the latest ones?
It sounds like CWM problem (are you sure that you have the latetst version?)
anyway I can describe what how I did it (actually this weekend) and I'm very pleased with the result
download Temasek CM11 v12 zip
download 11-26_GApps_Standard_4.4_signed zip
I also needed the camera fix from here
download boeffla kernel that in used with the appropriate app can do significant tweaks (personally I'm interested in power saving) from here
Steps:
1) Recovery mode
2) wipe system data, cache, dalvik cache
3) install ROM
4) install Gapps
4.5) might not need camera fix...can do it afterwards without any wiping
5) install kernel
6) can do wipe once more. Don't think it matters but have seen it in Youtude
7) reboot

ok i will try to explain my condition,,i installed chainfire 3d on my device and then it stuck at samsung galaxy grand screen while restarting,,,,but the good news was i was able to enter in recovry mode...so i went ther downloaded cm11 ROM from my pc i put it in sd card..and tried to flash the pfone...but it said (bad) installation aborted.....so i searched for a whole day ..and it seems it was because of bad zip file....so put another su-update file and tried to flash it through cwn and it works but the problem is only with cm11 ROM zip file...so i downloaded it again for atleast 5 times but the zip was corrupted(i checked by opening it through winRAR)...so i downloaded through another browes IE still the same...downloaded through opera still same....then filnalyy i downloaded through free download manager..now i can open the zip but when tyring to extract(just to see if the file is ok) it still says zip corrupted............is there a problem withh cm11 roms ..or my pc....what should i do...is there a way to download that zip without coruupting it....
Hi! I've recently installed on a SGS3 CyanogenMod 11 with 4.4.4 Kitkat. Now I'm trying to install the GAPPS pack but when I select the zip file from the CWM Recovery menu it abort the installation saying "file_getprop: failed to stat "/system/build.prop": No such file or directory"

Do you have the newest recovery??
Or try to download another GAPPS. This can be broken
The file might be corrupted, try another ggapp if you have the latest version of CWM.
Hi I have tried to flash CM 12.1 to my S3 mini, so i downloaded ROM, did backup (but it went wrong, i think it didnt fully back up) and wipe cache, data and davik. After that i wanted to flash my ROM, but error appeared, that Installation aborted. So I tried to restore backup but it said "MD5 mismatch" and if I try to reboot It goes to recovery mode everytime. I read that flashing rom can be aborted because of old CMW ( I have v6.0.2.7 ) and if you get the newest, installation is ok, but what can I do? I cannot go to normal boot to Android and if I connect my phone to PC it reacts, but as unknown device and I cant open storage of my phone, so I cant update CMW recovery to flash my ROM.
EDIT: Now i get into ADB and sideload, everything going well but when I tried to install rom it said * failed to write data 'protocol fault (couldn't read status): Invalid argument' *
*Bump* i have the same problem..... not getting any where with this can some one help me out ....
SOLVED! I flashed stock official samsung ROM throught ODIN and after I used TWRP recovery instead of CWM and flashed CM 12.1 .
Hello, I desperately need help updating my Samsung S3 Mini GT-i8190 - I have followed all the steps, the phone is rooted, I have CWM installed - Odin won't read my phone (have original cable) I installed Android Toolkit and still cannot install zip files:- I keep getting an error message when the files run. I've been all day trying to install Slim Rom for Nexus 9 but the recovery just doesn't let me install it. Every time I wipe cache,dalvik, data and system, I go to the install section and every time it shows an error. After downloading several times the rom, the last error that shows up is:
"Could not find 'META-INF/com/google/android/update-binary' in the zip file.
Error installing zip file '/sdcard/Download/Slim-flounder-7.zip"
I've checked a hundred times the zip file and it always has update-binary in the corresponding folder and also every time I do the wipes both the root and the recovery just disappear and I have to re-root the device and re-install the recovery.
I'm using Skipsoft's toolkit and it worked well until the Rom installation. Any advice?
