[Q] Getting root back on CM12 nightly - HTC Droid DNA

As it says in the subject, a string of events occurred while upgrading a CM nightly, and I somehow lost root in the process. I have TWRP installed, and tried downloading a superuser zip and installing it from recovery, but the app doesn't appear to have access to a su binary. Phone seems to be functioning fine, I'd just like to get my root back.
Mods, feel free to delete this post. Flashing a newer version of supersu fixed my problem.

[Q] Superuser no root access

I recently updated my 3G Tab to the latest firmware, so I re ran the gtab root.zip
So when superuser was installed, I had the update binary pop up. So I tried updating it, all was fine, until after it stops at "Gaining root access - Failed"
Is there any way to solve this without flashing back to an older firmware/rom?

Lost Root, Please HELP!

Okay so I wiped my tablet and was able to update my TWRP to Voyager's new 2.6.3 version. I then installed the CMB ROM after using ADB to push it and gapps to my Prime in recovery. Everything installed just fine. When I got my tablet all booted up it seems I lost root somehow. I have never lost root in all the times I have flashed ROM's until now. I don't know if it is because I updated to the new TWRP or what. It is very frustrating and I have tried the Urkel's Fresh Start to re-root and I have also tried motochopper. I have had no success in getting it to root. I have Superuser on my tablet and when I open it up it asks if I want to update the SU binary and when I click yes it says Installation Failed!
Please HELP, I have spent hours on researching this and can't find a way to get my root back.
Edit: Oh and I do have the su in the system/bin folder and Superuser.apk in the the system/apps folder but no su-backup anywhere.

[Q] Rooting Motorola Defy+

I have been trying to root my Motorola Defy+. I have tried using SuperOneClick, z4root and Framaroot. None of these appeared to work, in that I got no messages to say they had been successful. However, the device now seems to be rooted. I have installed Busybox and ROM Manager (Superuser is installed but doesn't work as it reports the su binary is out of date but can't update) and when opening these there is a message to say they have been granted superuser permission. I also have ClockworkMod installed and apparently working.
However, if I try to backup or install a custom ROM from ROM Manager the device boots into recovery mode then hangs (boot looping??). I can only get out of this by removing and replacing the battery then rebooting back to the standard ROM.
Can anyone help, or explain what may be happening, please.
Mike
Still no progress with this. Any advice or assistance welcome.

Latest CWM SuperUser flashable zip

Hi, folks,
I have pretty much wasted the past 3-4 hours trying to get cwm superuser to work.
I installed .314 UK generic firmware using FlashTool & unticked wipe data, then used TowelRoot v12 to root then flashed NUT's dual recovery but no matter what cwm superuser flashable zip I use I cant get it to work right, it always prompts me to use recovery install when I open the SuperUser app, tried that but I just get error saying there was a error installing SuperUser. If I disable SuperUser then install SuperSU & SuperSU pro from market I get root access but SuperSU has always had issues with AdAway applying the hosts file so I switched to CWM SuperUser when I was on .402 firmware.
I did have the flashable CWM zip file but can no longer find it
Really need some help with this.

If you're not on CWM, you can't use CWM SuperUser. Install SuperSU and use that. You can also switch to AdFree which is what I use. You'll also need to install XZDualRecovery to be able to write to /system.
Sent from my SGP311 using XDA Free mobile app
Thanks for the reply
I was using CWM superuser with no issues on .402 UK generic & Philz recovery, I have always had issues with SuperSU both on my old Galaxy S3 with custom roms & now on my Z2, most of the time with SuperSU any app that needs root access will freeze due to the delay in SuperSU showing the alert & as I mentioned above with AdAway not being able to apply the hosts file 90% of the time.
I also have Dual Recovery installed but keep losing it, seems that using the NDR tools app it installs causes the phone to forget that the recoveries are installed.
Just want some help with this issue & it would be great if someone could post a working kitkat CWM superuser flashable zip.
Can anyone else help me with this?
Have just done a full wipe & used Flashtool to install UK generic .314, have used EasyRoot 12.1 to root & it says I'm rooted. I then install CWM SuperUser from market & when opening it says the su binary needs to be updated & only gives recovery install or cancel options, I chose recovery & it reboots into Philz recovery & says it has installed but Philz says root is broken. When I boot the phone again I get a notification from SuperUser saying the binary needs to be updated again but when I tap recovery it just says there was a error.
Really would appreciate some help here as I need to get AdAway installed, change the DPI & use the nextapp kitkat SD fix app.
Cheers.
EDIT: forget it, got it fixed myself, now CWM superuser is working fine.

Installing superSU on Dev Rom

Hi Guys,
I'm trying to use Titanium Backup on dev Rom, but even after i gave TB permission access in security, it's still says that the phone is not rooted. then i installed superSU from playstore, follow this guide, http://webtrickz.com/easily-grant-root-permissions-in-miui-v6-developer-rom-with-supersu/, in hope that it will succeed, but no luck, i can't update SU binary.
anyone can help me with this, i don't want to install twrp, since it will make any future miui incremental update unable to be installed
