i notice that after a two weeks of use the bottom middle area where the input panel appears suffers from sensitivity issue. anyone had this problem?
I had my first unit changed for a brand ne unit, im now having the same problem again with the new one.
i dont think that there is something wrong with the wieght im using when writing on the screen, i still have my 3870, old hp548 and e200 with me, and i never had this problem.
thank you for your input.

Hi guys, as you can see i'm not a very active member but i do generally come on here often to check the boards as a guest.
I havent really had time to read through the xperia z2 threads so i'm just wondering something.
I'm a sometimes fustrated owner of an xperia z1, suffering from touch screen issues, where it will lose where i'm touching & inputs wherever..
Has the issue been solved with the z2? Has there been any threads with users complaining of screen issues?
Is there any "major" / "common" issues with the z2?

I can't see any screen related problem. But some user reports that screen is less/too sensitive
Also some user reports there is some overheating problem when you are recording 4k , grass clack by themselves(it's doubtful) and gap problem.
Luckly I haven't got any faulty one.
You can simply type screen at Forum Search and will be able to find details about these.

Hello, I've tried in vain to get rid of this horrible flicker by flashing various ROMs. Sometimes it helped for a while, but the flicker always came back. Zopo seems to completely ignore this issue. So better don't expect to get a solution for this device ever. As PWM-dimmed monitors and TVs have become standard, unfortunately, it also seems to me that many people have become unresponsive (or rather dull) to this dramatically technical aberration, so the complaints are rather limited. At least some PC monitor vendors like BenQ have become aware of this impairment and offer flicker-free monitors (DC-dimmed instead of PWM). But, actually, PWM doesn't seem to be the issue here...?! I've tested with my DSLR and there are no PWM-typical hard light on-off cuts. Regardless of that, the flicker is visible and is more than disturbing. I've now switched to a flawless Moto G4 Play and will never ever buy any of Zopo's junk.
Hello one big problem I have is while I speak proximity sensor does not work as it has and while i speak maybe notifications open or anything else...
can you please tell me if there is any solution?
thank you
Hi, this is know issue from Xperia 1 II. And sony support know that but there is now fix for this. Sony explained that this fault is because of its shape and size. Correct if i am wrong.
Following, as this is one of the most annoying things on this device.
I think in one of the forums was guy that contacted sony support and they have stated that this is design problem and they cant fix this. You need to get used to it and dont move your phone in the ear when talking.
sensor is on the right side of the speaker, some 5-6mm so try to catch your phone a bit more on the right side and once you get used to that it won't be happening so frequently
I have a pocket neo (s5301 I) whose touch screen broke. I tried to find a replacement for it but only found a panel for pocket duos (not neo) don know the exact touch screen model. Got it changed but the phone became kinda useless as the touch is almost non-responsive. It does work but is very messy. Sometimes I have to press it hard and sometimes very light. Is there a software workaround for this problem?
What I'm trying to ask is that what if I flash a duos rom on this device? Will it contribute anything to improve the touch experience?
Since the phone came from another country, it's not possible to find its exact parts here so have to rely on what I could find in the market.
Is there anything that can help?
Thanks.
