Hey XDA,
I am new to android development.I use Android Studio for my preferred IDE.
I want to make a CM12 theme from scratch(without help of any template):angel:.
So,I searched hours for the solution and found only the following two post:

From these two first guide was little confusing and second does not relate Android Studio.
Can anyone plz help me out,by giving a brief guide to start CM12 themeing using Android Studio.:crying:

Hey all,
I want to use Aptana Studio 3 to develop for Android. I followed the instructions on the google webpage and also this link here:

But the thing is, I accidentally closed the welcome window and I can't seem to find how to bring that up again.
I tried reinstalling both Aptana and the SDK pack for Aptana but to no avil.
Any help here?

so i have read and searched and read and searched but i cant find much to help a real n00b start out, like a step by step guide on actually making an app....
are there some decent resources i can use?
im using Android Studio ...
any help would be great for me to start somewhere

A tutorial is the best way to get started... try EasyAppCreation to get all the help you need :good:

if you already have some linux knowledge it will be of good help to understand how android realy works , i know it souds stupid but you should first of all start from wikipedia to find out more about android : http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Android
for learning there is also Android IDE (free) that you can find on play store it is an ide for android that works on android , you can find on play store also some references about java programing language and tutorials for begining android development , ps: you can also make apps with phonegap if you are already a web developer , but i dont advice you to use phonegap for heavy projects as you dont have full control of the performance : http://phonegap.com/developer/
note that a version of phonegap on play store that works on android (paid) , it is made by the same team that made AIDE , dont forget about html5 apps also (they are multiplatform but need a browser with html5 support) , i hope i helped you .

I am new (like totally new) I haven't done any phone programming before and I haven't done any computer programming for years (yes I am 46, but I am a techno junky). I like the themes on the Samsung Themes Store, but I would like to make my own and use them. I have looked at how to make Icons etc, but I would like to know how to get them onto my phone without using another Launcher. I have looked into Samsung Developers, but being a beginner I don't have any designs and I wouldn't know where to start.
I also tried following a thread '[GUIDE] Make your own Themes for your Samsung device' by mygalaxya, but I couldn't find where to download the Java JDK & Android SDK. The link takes me to Android Studio which I have already downloaded.
Would someone be so kind as to help me, from the beginning? Any help would be appreciated.

Firstly, I don't know if this is a right site/forum to ask this question but this seems to be most active android development forum when googling for 'android development forum' even though this site seems to be mosty about rooting and mods which is not what my question is about.
I'm trying to compile github.com/corbinlc/GNURootDebian from source and make it run on my android emulator. I get 'Configuration with name 'default' not found' in android studio 3.0 when just opening the project. Can anyone help me out tackle this error?

Hello friends, I am new to the world of Android themes. I recently found KatKit and I would like to learn more about the tool and the development of themes. I would like to know if there is GIMP documentation for Samsung themes support and how to use it to start with easy things. Somebody could help me?
