Just want to share a free version of Air Command Shortcut which as the name implies is just a simple app to launch Air Command menu without detaching spen. Before Lollipop, air command can be launched without root but on Lollipop samsung has protected the intent to invoke air command by third-party apps so the need for root.
You can access Air Command from your app drawer or notification panel or multiwindow tray.
Just download below, install, run and grant su permission.

Hello, the new base for the 910F BOC3 get the icon in the notification bar but the app launches and does not work. regards
It says "There is a problem parsing the package" when I try to install from ESFileExplorer. On 910H KitKat rooted phone.
I have been looking for this app from the day I switched from Note 3 to 4.
So is it available for KitKat even without root?

Sorry I assumed everyone is on Lollipop so the app was made for Lollipop only. Anyway, I uploaded a v1.2 which supports Kitkat.

Would you mind to give us a version for Kit Kat without root too?
Hi there is still parsing error on 910H rooted Kitkat. Please make it work and put in play store, I am willing to purchase it. Alternately, I would love to have a shortcut only for "Screen-Write" as that is primary app I use out of AirCommand.

Rooted my phone using the Vroot method and did some surveying with permission manager, xPrivacy and I stumbled upon a mysterious app called MtkCamera (com.example.cameraroot). I have no recollection of ever installing this app. I find this suspicious because I use permission manager on other phones running ICS and never have to deal with this app before. Considering all the apps listed are installed from Google Play Store, I decided to restrict all permission and uninstall the app. Check out the permissions list.

I'm not convinced. Looking at the network permissions, it doesn't make sense why it would need to control network access.

I rooted with Vroot, installed english SU and then removed the Chinese SU using the vroot app and I don't have the app installed.
Removed it as soon as I saw it. Better not run it, and remove it does nothing to the root.

Sure, but what does it do? Does it steal your contacts? Send SMS'? Log your IMEI? Log your keystrokes? Or is it nothing out of the ordinary? Who knows!
I could decompile it myself, but I have no idea what to look for, so that's a complete waste of time.

So the reason some people do not have can be simply because they do not have a TW firmware. Have a TW firmware and got it after vroot. But where would be the point for vroot to put a malicious apps on your phone when they can do anything they want while rooting your device? Maybe you should not take your phone with you on the bathroom, they may record you hahahaha.

So you don't find the following permissions suspicious?
Change network connectivity
Connect and disconnect wifi
Full network access

View wi-fi connection
Pair with bluetooth devices

Is it possible to alter the list of apps available to multiwindow without root? I don't really care to trip knox.

I give up on waiting for a Knox-free root. What is the best multi window method? I really liked the way the old note 10.1 worked. Anything like that?

Xposed, then MW Apps Manager allows you to add apps to the multi-window list.
Pen Window Manager allows to add apps to pen window list. Pen Window Launcher allows you to open these apps without going through Air Command.
And, Pen Window Launcher coupled with GMD Gesture Control let you open Pen Window without removing SPen. You can draw a box or any custom gesture with finger!

Well I dont own a Note 10.1 (but planning to buy one and hence was going through this thread). However I have done this on my Note 2 that has got note 3 features including Pen Window and it is working like a charm. I am pretty sure it will work on Note 10.1
1) Install Pen Window Launcher (PWL), go to PWL settings, click on "Drawer Icon Action" and select "Show PWL Directly". So we will not have the floating button (and we don't need it)
2) Install GMD, go to "User Gestures" and Record a new gesture (rectangular box will be ideal), Click "Next>Select Action>Application and choose PWL and save.
With this you can launch PWL with finger on top of any app or home screen.
Actually you an have lot of other utilities as well with GMD. Alt+ Tab will be another one of them two switch between two apps (see in screen shot below).
By the way, hope your device is rooted

With the old Note, I would open Kindle and SNote then take notes by circling/copy a passage and dragging it directly on the SNote that is open in split screen.
I haven't rooted, so I haven't tried this method - but in trying this in the default multi window with Chrome and SNote I haven't found that the 2014 is as functional nor as fast as the old SNote but maybe it has something to do with my old one being rooted.
Do you have any experience with this? I'd love to know I could do that on the 2014. It was one of the most functional features I used on the original 10.1.

Then I must be confused between Xposed and the Xposed Framework. The latest version of Xposed can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47991707. This is version 2.4, but then again, maybe it's Xposed or maybe it's Xposed Framework. As you can tell, I'm not very familiar with all of this and am trying to learn all the functionalities of my 7 Android devices.
Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, so here is what I think; To use Xposed, the Framework has to be installed. To install Framework, you need to be rooted.

If you install Xposed and then click install updates within the app it installs the frameworks.
You then need to download Modules (from the Download section within Xposed), install it and enable.as per your requirements.
You need to be rooted for installation.

Will that actually make them disappear from the notification panel?
If it is part of the app I mentioned you will cause the notification bar not to work altogether.
---------- Post added at 08:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:27 PM ----------
I just did a little research.
It is part of the systemui.apk program.
That application you can't freeze without the core functionality of the phone failing to work with it.
You will need to either find an xposed module that can do it and set that up (don't think there are any yet) or get a modified version of it and replace the one on the device.
I was surprised that there isn't a stock calculator app. What lightweight ad free app are people using for calculator?
There is a stock calculator. It is just hidden in the toolkit app in the app drawer. I dragged it out to the home screen, and it is pretty similar (the same?) as the Google calculator. Just a different color.

I wanted to post this because I search several times and never found any hits but randomly found this APK somewhere that works just fine activating Galaxy Labs on the AT&T model S7.
