Hi,
I got stuck with a bad flash and the only way to get it to flash again was to format the nvram.
I don;t have a backup so even though i was able to put the imei back in, and part of the serial number and use the correct modem baseband i still get a serial with 0000000 followed by the serial i entered.
Can someone send me a backup of their nvram file so i can start working from there again?
I loved my phone untill it got bricked with a silly software update by lenovo that caused by cellphone reception which i then tried to fix with a custom rom flash.

I have same problem with serial. But if i restore your nvram i will get your imei, serial and product number??? So i need to replace all that things with my imei, serial and product number??

Hi. If your NVRAM is corupted and you cannot write inside you could replace with this one. After replace you could try to modify the information from the new NVRAM.
Any way your information is messed up and you dont have anything to loose !

I tried your suggestion with the .img. run the batch file and it was a success but there still no IMEI registered on the phone it still saying invalid... please help...

You can use that NVRAM.img. The img file can be used on CN or ROW firmware with no problem involved.

is there any tool which i can use to edit the information inside the nvram.img file before flashing it. information like imei, Bluetooth address, WiFi mac address. i ask this because i tried a lot of tools like maui meta and sn write tool and it didn't work on my phone and needed another alternative.

i tried sp flash tool with format all+ download. so now i have imei errors and nvram warning. same problem as above. any solution?
solution for imei and WiFi NVRAM WARNING: ERR 0x10
follow the steps:
1. root ur lenovo a536 (with kingroot apk, 100% success)
2. install root explorer apk
3. use MTKdroidTools.(dont use the root button, just the imei/nvram button, change ur imei, reboot )

That post in step 4 didn't fix the problem and NVRAM WARNING: Err = 0x10 isn't gone.
Root your phone then install chamelepon from playstore and insert your imei

After spending a whole day with this Lenovo A536 and about to call quits (not really), tried all those MTKdroidtools steps and did not work. Then tried "Chamelephon" O M G My IMIE are there and my SIM card is now working (in fact SIM is working ) Thanks a bunch.

Do you have any method for restoring the serial number of the Phone, i am also using Lenovo A536 and i've flashed the stock rom but now the serial number is gone ?

Yep when you factory reset your phone it will disappear but at least you can get ur imei back
I need help. I use P780 8gb Row model and try to install Vibeui 2.0. But after install Vibeui i cant retore imei. After that i go back to s124 row version and ofc lost all nvram (imei, wifi mac, bt,...), but my problem is next: i didnt backup nvam before flashing CN rom version., i use sn write tool to revrite imei-success, wifi mac adsress-success, bt adress-success, and bigger problem is HOW TO REVRITE-EDIT SERIAL NUMBER AND PRODUCT NUMBER. I have problem with my lenovo p780 4gb Chinese version (after 04.2014)
I am using vibe ui 2.0 (row version from sympty's thread)
I flashed couple Roms to find my favourite and probably messed up with the nvram.
I was having problems with no signal, nvram error in WiFi ect.
I couldn't restore my imei (done with mobile uncle but after reset the problem apeard again).
Decided to recover nvram.img but as I did not have my own backup I used one uploaded by sympty. (Before restoring nvram made a backup of my own messed up nvram, just in case).
After recovering sumptys nvram the problem with imei and nvram error in wifi disappeard . I noticed that I have symptys imei so I overwritten it with my own using moboleincle.
The problem is that I still get the network problem. No signal at all. Tried many modems also the one that have been adviced to me here (the one created by xaep).
Do You know what can cause this?
I noticed that in mobile uncle radio information the signal is not floating. Once it worked it was floating now it is still and shows 0 db 99 and.
What else could I mess up and how can I fix it?

So that means that I did not rewrite imie properly?
Also, I noticed that IMEI on the baterry is diffrent than IMEI on the back of the box. My phone have been in service in China, maybe they've made a mistake?

This is strange. At least one of the IMEI'S from the box must be the same with the IMEI from the accumulator. They could switch the box on the service store, i think?

Also I am still facing the problem with network. Tried many modems. And now i eaven get the problem with sim card (mmi error).
I changed the nvram for the one i got from this forum.
Can't really rewrite imei with sn writer but managed to do it with mobile uncle. (It changes, but after factory reset it goes back to the imei i got when changed nvram).
I don't really know what else could that be. Maybe it is the rom?
I really like this phone, but I am starting to think of getting a new one without network problems.

Hi. It does not matter what IMEI you are running. It doe matter to have one .
With network problem it is the same! If you dont have IMEI you cannot acces any GSM network. You can change all the modems, if you dont have IMEI your phone cannot acces network.
And yesss.... MobileUncle Tool is an temporary solved problem.
I did not encounter this proble myself. I have saw this problem to others.
From what i have read i saw that this problem could be solved with an older firmware like s119, s123, s124. Dont know how but some of the users did write the IMEI for good.
You can change only the motherboard, or change all the phone and this one use it like power bank, nice agenda, or other uses.

Will try to go back to the older firmware like You said.
Basically if it doesn't matter what imei I have, than it is not the imei problem, because I do have imei after factory reset, only it is probably Yours (because i restored nvram uploaded by You ;D).
In such a case, maybe the firmware will help.

Yes, don do this. You will have the blue screen. And then need to flash phone with programmator like medusa. I got it.
QCN backup won't help on the v60. My discord is full of people having accidentally erased their imei, I am working towards a solution and i will post updates soon on the server.
And no, writing imei in PDM will not restore it. Btw, if you are stuck in PDM (Blue screen), connect the phone via usb to a computer, and access via Putty or some other client the serial port. Then write "AT%QEM=1" and "AT%Restart" the phone will automatically restart and boot into android.

No you don't need Medusa Box to get it out of Mid mode.Just LGUP the phone and refurbish it.No AT Commands needed.

Hello, i'have redmi note 9 (merlin).
I had brick my phone with MTK (all data deleted).
But actually i'have flash my phone with stock rom (android 11, miui 12.5.4) and i root this (magisk) and it work!
But my MEI code not are in my phone
no IMEI = no sms, no 4g, ...
How to write my old IMEI code on my phone ?

Changing or repairing an IMEI code is considered illegal in some countries/regions. But, if you still have a box as you said, you can search online on how to repair the deleted IMEI number. Losing an IMEI is rare and occurs if you've done something to the critical partitions.
Also, could you see any signal on your phone before rooting it with magisk? Or, was it gone right after the main flash?

My IMEI has deleted after repair my phone with SP Flash Tool.
It's good ! I have write my IMEI on my phone.
I use MTK META Utility (for run phone on "META MODE")
and i use Modem META for write IMEI
My problem is solved!
