Images open on android and not on PC - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone
I downloaded some JPGs on my phone using Chrome browser, and they seem to be normal. But when I connect my phone to PC, a lot of them won't open and act as they are corrupted. Even when I copied them to the PC they won'open, so I copied the exact files back to the phon, but again they open on android but not on PC. tried different programs on PC, no difference.
Anyone can think of any reason why would they act this way.

MartView files?

Has anyone else heard of this program MartView? Apparently it lets you download magazines for free and read them on your computer. I'd like to transfer the files to my Nook so I can read them later. Problem is, I have downloaded the program but it won't open. I've downloaded and installed it several times. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears.

The program is really nice. But there doesn't seem to be an Android version as of yet. The magazines are stored in C:/My e-books but they won't open with a PDF viewer. You can however create .mart files from PDFs and other file formats. The nice thing is that it'll open PDF files and in a very nice way too.
Allow me to clarify. I have downloaded and installed it several times on my PC and it won't open. I even click on the .exe file and it won't start.

When I installed it both home and work comps the firewall asked me to allow it or block it. Maybe you're not seeing that window which would give the appearance of the program not starting.
I would also try running it as administrator.
I'll have to look again. I don't recall seeing any pop up asking for anything like that though.

Transferring files between pc and vibrant over 3g

I was wondering if there is way to transfer files between pc and the vibrant. I would like to directly access my computer files while I am away from my computer when wifi is not in range. I have been searching on the market but can't seem to find an app that isn't using wifi. Thanks.
Do you mean something like dropbox? It syncs well and I think you get about 2 gigs. Use this link and we'll both get extra space:

No, I would like to directly transfer files between devices almost like remote desktop.

Is there a copy-paste trough wi-fi app?

SOLVED, even found this out myself!

Scan detects nothing. Manually adding ip gives error
Wifi file explorer pro sounds like exactly what you are looking for.. Dropbox/Minus is a 2 step process, since the files are moved to the Cloud, not straight to your pc.
Apparently sugarsync does what you're looking for as well.

Here's a few other you can try to see if it's what you are looking for.
Samba Filesharing

Total Commander (you need to install the plugin also, to access computers over the network)

WiFi Explorer PRO is exactly what you are asking for. If you had that amazon app it was the free paid app of the day about a month ago. I use this all the time, you turn the app on and enter the I.P. it gives you in your PC browser and all your SD files pop up in your browser. You can download and upload faster then connecting with a usb cable Turn the app off when done and thats it, easy as pie, lol.

Works great and so easy! But can't do it the other way, right? I might also like to copy stuff from PC to phone.
I use websharing and it works like wifi explorer. It's useful for when I don't have a usb cable close by or don't wanna hassle with removing sd card. I'm pretty satisfied with it so far

Those apps are cool for files, but if you just want to send copied text to your phone (or a phone number or web link), the Google Chrome to Phone extension works great. It's fast too since it uses "Push" technology and you don't have to have other software running on your PC or launch any programs anywhere. It just works.

how to transfer files from pc to android in and out wirelessly

found this really cool trick for you guys that dont know about it just follow the instructions, wirelessly put music and files into your device link >>http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/4158...between-your-pc-and-android-phone-wirelessly/
Using AirDroid is a lot easier than this
That's cool. I use WiFi File Explorer. You can use a Internet Browser to browse/upload/download files. It has a great web-based gui.
Thanks to all of you for those. I guess I never even thought about WiFi file transferring. I always just use usb.

Transferring mp3's to phone

Is there any way to transfer mp3's directly to the phone without using that crap htc sync software? I'm on a Mac and when the phone is plugged up, it never shows the storage, only a cd rom and that crap software link.
Sync keeps freezing up when the phone is plugged up and it won't do more than a couple of songs at a time before the program has to be force closed and restarted.
Dropbox works.
And iirc there is some software you need to install on macs to view the filesystem of android phones. But are you sure your turning the mass media mode on on your phone(I think that's what it's called)

Yeah, you need to get the android file transfer app. After that's installed, when you plug in your phone it will automatically open android file transfer.
