[Q] Lenovo A606 - Root - Help request! - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So...
Hello!
I've wanted to root my Lenovo A606 for some time, but I can't figure out how:
Framaroot isn't compatible, and it's pretty much the program I always use.
Same for Kingo Root (And tried a chinese one, Root Genius).
I am really looking for some help, because I just can't figure out anything!

"If" is indeed the problem, mate.
Turns out the "Root Genius" I had downloaded was a malware - good thing I had an anti-virus program to cleanse it later.
Seriously, please - if anyone knows how to root this piece of tech, reply to this thread!

Are you sure? I tried google-ing Iroot, but the first one I downloaded would repeat that there's no space on my smartphone, even after I deleted 3 GB of data.
The second one I found was malware + adware + spyware - 240+ viruses...
(luckily I have a stack of anti-virus programs)

I dont know much about this phone but does it run stock android or a custom version of Android. If it runs on stock Android , then it can be rooted using the methods for similar devices. However using a program meant for another device may harm your phone but it may be the solution to your problem at the moment.
Have you tried TowelRoot or CF-Auto Root ??
Also i dont see any point in rooting your device.. There is no Custom ROM available neither any kernel related tweaks or benefits you will get. If the default stock kernel does not support overclocking(which it probably doesn't) then you cant even get those benefits.
The only thing you could do is apply tweaks using PimpMyROM or Xposed Framework .
Do try TowelRoot for your device and report if it works.

I know there aren't - I am pretty much looking into changing my app installation place to my SD card, but, sadly, I tried the normal non-root method (via CMD) - it still continues to install them inside the internal section, AND - for some reason, now Google updates got blocked - I have 3.3 GB free in my internal space & 6 GB - in the SD card, yet it denies to do a 30 MB update.
If anything, I'm least interested into upgrading my ROM right now - maybe later, but I really wanna root my phone, since I already found the joy of it form my rooted tablet.
EDIT:
So, I decided to revert the non-root App-installation location to the normal (0)
Now Google started actualizing itself successfully... maybe I'll try the first iRoot pack I downloaded once again?
Edit: Downloaded the Mgyun iRoot, but... I don't understand chinese. Help?

tried it - nothing ( judging by the pictures ).
I used the latest version - 2.1.6...
I don't really wanna risk with roots for other phones that aren't designed for mine, because, like it was stated - it may harm my phone.

Worked, but now I'm stuck with a chinese SU - anyone know how to change language?
Also, looks like whatever it "rooted", doesn't count as SuperSU
I really needed SuperSU & Lucky Patcher...
Guess there isn't any way to unroot this chinese root?
Has anyone tried DingDong Root?
Also, is there any way to insert APP2SD function to Lenovo a606 (if it's possible with rooting, maybe?)
I just really want to move my apps & data to my SD card, because they're taking a lot of space.

There is everything in my files just gonna make guide later in English . I have from this Chinese root to normal SuperSU .
Edit:
Chinese right button is yes
After Iroot from my zip start
command prompt where is unpacked mrw directory
adb push mrw /sdcard/mrw
adb shell
> su
In phone agree right button then in command prompt type
# sh /sdcard/mrw/root.sh
Done u have ROOT
I root is English also change u locale u will see it English
Next I did was flashing recovery removing unneeded apps flashing root.zip from recovery .

I receive a problem at step " > su"
1|[email protected]:/ $ > su
> su
/system/bin/sh: can't create su: Read-only file system
[Can't post screenshots, since I still don't have 10 posts yet]
I have USB Debugging on, but here's a problem:
I haven't activated " Allow mock locations" - should I turn it on?
Edit: turned it on, nothing changed.
I never get a notification on my phone for agreeing or not after "> su" error.

Also, yes - I think you can install an Android 5.0 Lollipop ROM onto a rooted Lenovo.
Edit: For some reason, iRoot decided my A606 is an A60 - I rooted it still, but I don't know if it will work.
I'm using the "lenovo_a606_s035 root by anryl.zip" download.
EDIT: It doesn't work.
Edit: So, I decided to try something else:
After I did "adb shell", I did "Cd /sdcard/mrw/", and I did "su" - it then activated SU, but I didn't get any notification on my smartphone to agree or so (only some chinese sign)
Edit: changed my language, it says " shell has been granted " (Since I made it to always give shell permissions)
Right now I'm at line "[email protected]:/mnt/shell/emulated/0/mrw #"
From here, I type "sh /sdcard/mrw/root.sh"
Then everything just sinks.
The first message from the fail I get is
"rm failed for /system/bin/su, Read-only file system"
Afterwards, the message pretty much repeats with the other files, only that instead the error being "read-only file system", it is "no such file or directory"
Another type of error is "unable to chown" and "unable to chmod"
And after all these errors pass, a java process starts
The whole error problem ends with "Killed"
And just returns me back to my PC directory.
Meanwhile, my A606 just resets.
And from all of those problem, nothing gets installed - not even Busybox.

Do u have the update s035 installed ?
I did I root on s035 system u still don't have root try with total commander or root checker if root is working . install superuser and grant permission .
In adb after su u have to grant it on the device.

I tested it with Root checker basic - it showed that the root was successfully done.
Decided to re-download SuperSU by firechain, and - this time, it worked!
Though, I still don't have Busybox.
May you give me a tip from where can I get busybox safely?

King root has 88% successful rate for rooting lenovo a606, plus it is safe, and you can root from your phone
